Chapter 24 Magic Knights

The Silver Snow Wolf Knight Order, they were not part of Medeia's military power, but rather they were Selena's private army.

After Luminas yelled so, Selena immediately let go of her embrace. He suddenly became very excited because of what Luminas said.

“Yes, Lumi! This mama will come back and bring you victory!”

“Then, wait for your mother to come home and be a good boy, huh?”

Selena stood up and rubbed Luminas' head once again.

“Good. Mama, careful. Return safely according to your promise,”

“Sure,”

Selena smiled at Luminas for the last time. He then turned around and rode the horse that Rufus had prepared.

“SOLDIERS! LET'S LEAVE!”

Selena's voice and the screams of the soldiers echoed throughout this residence. The roar of the horses leaving Medeia sounded very loud.

Luminas from a distance could only look at the back of his mother who was away. Even though her mother was very strong, she still felt worried. For Luminas, his mother was the person he loved the most and he did not want to lose her.

He did not want to lose Selena who always smiled when talking to Luminas. His existence brought Luminas tranquility. Luminas in his previous life lost his life while fighting for his humanity, he almost lost himself again.

But the presence of Selena makes him a complete human being. The warmth of a mother she never felt, given by Selena. Because Selena also Luminas finds her purpose in this world, which is to protect the people she cares about, including Selena.

Moments later, a small amount of water emerged from the hand of Luminas holding Dorothy's hand. The small water moved through the air and enveloped Dorothy's hand. After a while later, the wound on Dorothy's hand healed and simply disappeared.

Dorothy was shocked because Luminas used her magic to heal herself. He felt even more uneasy because he had troublesome Luminas. But in his little heart he felt very happy, because Luminas cared so much for him.

Dorothy blushed and smiled faintly at the thought of that.

“Then? What are you cooking?”

Luminas glanced into the basket containing the food.

“Of course it's confidential,”

Dorothy pulled the basket and hid the contents from Luminas.

“Haha, fine then. I'm looking forward to it,”

Luminas walked first with Dorothy accompanying him behind. He walked towards the lakeside park near the entrance gate of the residence.

The Selena residence is one of the largest areas in the capital region. It is also separated from the walls of the capital so that the environment is very calm. Because the environment is very wide, various luxury facilities are built in the residence like an artificial lake. This was a gift from the king to Selena who did not want to stay in the palace like the other queens.

Luminas and Dorothy were sitting by the lake swinging their legs underwater. As Luminas was gazing at the beautiful scenery on the lake, Dorothy opened the basket containing the meal and took it all out. He took the cutlery out of his basket and served it all to Luminas.

‘I'm a little curious about the food Dorothy brought.’.

Luminas glanced at Dorothy who was busy serving food. Then he glanced at the food Dorothy was preparing for him.

But looking at the food Dorothy was carrying, Luminas frowned.

‘She said the one who cooked all that was herself wasn't?’

Luminas gulped when he saw the dishes made by Dorothy herself. All of these foods appear dark purple and emit smoke that looks deadly. Even faintly Luminas could see the unpeeled skin of the vegetables inside the monstrous purple stew. Even the bread baked by Dorothy seemed unfit to eat.

Luminas gasped when Dorothy finished serving her meal and told her to eat.

Dorothy smiled brightly as she served the food made by herself to Luminas.

Luminas took one bowl proffered by Dorothy, he swallowed a nervous saliva. Luminas raised his scooping soup with trembling hands.

“Please try, Princess,”

Dorothy looked at Luminas with a sparkling gaze. It seemed like he was looking forward to the reaction of Luminas which would shout extremely delicious when eating his cooking.

‘It won't be as bad as it looks right? This was definitely safe to eat since Dorothy must have known the law of poisoning a member of the royal family.’.

Despite trying to think positively, Luminas remained doubtful. He thought that maybe this food was not as bad as it seemed, at most it just tasted bland. He tried to convince himself not to worry too much and ate the food Dorothy had painstakingly cooked.

Luminas stuffed the spoon containing Dorothy's cooking into her mouth.
