Requesting Permission

The month of Ramadan has ended.That morning, after performing Eid prayers, people visit each other from home to home. Letting go, apologizing to each other and forgiving each other. This, has become a tradition in the villages, since long ago until now.

Usually, on the first day of Eid, they will go around to the house of the family and nearest neighbors first. Only the next day they will visit family or friends whose home is further away.

That same day, Fadil, Ulil, and a group of friends of his friends went around to gather together. Until near the time of Asar, Fadil and his entourage had finished visiting all the houses in his village.

As he promised Tiara, Fadil, after finishing his prayers, went to Tiara's house. Although previously Fadil and his group of friends, have indeed visited there, but the arrival of Fadil this time is to talk specifically with both parents Tiara. For that he came back there alone.

After parking his motorbike in the courtyard of Tiara's house, Fadil rushed down and headed straight for Tiara's house.

'' Ashalamu'alaikum..'' Fadil when in front of the door that is already open.

'' Wa'alaikumsalam.'' all the people in the guest room answered in unison.

Fadil's heart skipped a beat, as he looked at the entire Tiara family, as well as some of the relatives of Mr. Shahroni's (tiara's father) family who were in the room.

Although Fadil had rounded up his determination and courage, however, this was the first time he had come to visit alone at Tiara's house. Moreover, his future goal is to ask permission for his relationship with Tiara.

'' Eeh.., potential ghost, come on in!'' babble the sister of Mr. Syahroni who is his aunt Tiara.

The faces of Fadil, Tiara, and Tiara's parents changed. Although Tiara and Fadil's relationship was no longer a secret, but being shot with such words directly in front of many people, they still felt awkward.

Fadil let out a long sigh, tried to gather up some courage and compose the words in his mind, then began to speak.

'' Father, mother.., earlier I apologized.'' Fadil opens the word.

'' Maybe in fact, my father and mother already knew about my relationship with Tiara, for that I was deliberately here at this time, for that reason, would like to ask permission and blessing from my father and mother about my relationship with Tiara.

Mr. Syahroni and Ms. Lilis looked at each other, they were a little surprised by what Fadil said. They were shocked not to learn of Fadil and Tiara's relationship, but they were surprised by Fadil's courage to ask permission for his relationship with Tiara.

Previously, Mr. Syahroni and Ms. Lilis had often heard. That Yunita's eldest son had been in a relationship with a young man several times. However, none of the young men dared to come to speak as Fadil did. They just steal the opportunity to meet Yunita, without any intention towards a more serious relationship with her daughter.

'' After all, we were also once young. And we also understand how young people feel. It's just that, son Fadil must also understand, that Yunita is still not married.''

''So, besides you having to wait until Yunita gets married, you also have to know the boundaries of the association. Do not break the rules, which will ultimately harm and disgrace us all.''

Hearing the answer from Mr. Syahroni, Fadil's heart was already relieved. Because his relationship with Tiara had already gotten the green light from them. However, his desire to marry Tiara soon, it still has to be delayed, considering that he and Tiara still have to wait for Yunita to get married first.

Fadil actually wanted to ask the certainty of when he was allowed to marry Tiara. But his wish was deferred. Because he also realized that this problem was directly related to Yunita. While Yunita herself, there have been no signs of wanting to get married. Therefore, Fadil only resigned to accept the reality and be patient for it all.

'' Thank you sir, ma'am, for allowing me to have a relationship with Tiara. And insyallah we will try as much as possible to follow what the father and mother advised for us.''

'' Oh yes sir, ma'am, once again I apologize. If allowed, tomorrow the plan I want to invite Tiara to walk the road.'' continued Fadil with a little nervous to say it.

This plan, Tiara and Fadil agreed a month earlier. So when Fadil said that, Tiara who was in the room, his heart continued to hope that his parents would allow it. Because if both parents do not give permission to them, of course the hearts of both of them will be very disappointed.

Mr. Syahroni did not immediately reply, he turned to his wife, asking for the opinion of Miss Lilis through his eye gesture. But Ms. Lilis just returned her eyes flatly without an answer to agree or forbid it. Mr. Syahroni took a deep breath, then said:

'' Nak Fadil.., frankly, actually we still feel objected if you two often walk together. After all, you have no legitimate ties, of course this kind of thing will be the talk of people.''

'' But we also understand your feelings, so for this time, we have to allow little Fadil to take Tiara for a walk. However with the record, it should be accompanied by Yunita.''

After his intentions and goals were conveyed, and having received answers from both Tiara's parents, Fadil then bid farewell to Tiara's father and mother. Tiara exited her room, followed Fadil to the courtyard where Fadil parked his motorbike. Then for a while, they spoke before Fadil finally started the engine, then left the place to go back to his house.

Mr. Shahroni and Ms. Lilis, looking at the two from inside the house. Seeing Tiara and Fadil who looked so fond of each other, their hearts also felt happy.
