Chapter 5

A month after Ocean's return. The man asked her to sign the divorce papers. Karina refused to sign the divorce papers.

*Flashback End*

In the first month of Ocean's return. Karina felt strange about her body shape. He felt his chest growing bigger. His stomach also looks more prominent than before. When smelling the aroma of cooking in the kitchen makes his stomach like stirring. He often vomits early in the morning. Ocean knows all of that. Because he put some CCTV in every corner of the mansion.

Ocean returns from overseas. He went straight to Karina and said the words that hurt her heart again.

"If you're pregnant then you'll drop the contents without anyone's knowledge! I'll have Charles accompany you."

That's why Karina and Charles are now in the clinic.

The clinic staff received the money. He then asked Karina to lay her body on the clinic bed. He stepped outside the room leaving Karina and Charles.

Before long, the clinic attendant came with a woman who was very familiar Karina. It's just that Karina doesn't care about the woman's whereabouts.

"Karina stopped acting weird! isn't this the kind of life you want!"

Gloria Gaynor pulled Karina's hand out of the room. He did not want Karina to act even crazier after disappearing for about three years.

Karina tries to release Gloria's hand grip on Karina's wrist. However, the grip of the woman's hand was quite strong.

Upon arrival outside the clinic Gloria loosens her grip. He looked at Karina's pale face.

"Aren't you supposed to be happy after my departure. You can have all my family's possessions. You will also be my father's successor. Why did you come to this country and mess with my life." asked Karina to turn her eyes to look at Gloria's face with hatred.

Karina stepped closer to Gloria with a murderous look.

"Aren't you just like your mother? come into my family and want to be a princess everyone respects?"

Gloria took a few steps back as Karina moved closer to her. He did not dare to look at that murderous gaze. That look felt like a hellfire ready to burn him alive.

"I'm not the same as my mother, Karina! I just want to do my best for you." replied Gloria with a trembling body.

"If you want to do what's best for me. Then die in front of me!" karina shouted furiously. He saw his stepmother's face on the woman's plain face. Although sometimes the face will look flat in front of others.

"Karina, I-I"

"Stop meddles in my business! I don't want to see you running around in my life!"

Karina turned her body around and intended to go back inside the clinic. However, a loud bang stopped his steps.

As she turned around, Karina saw fresh blood flowing from Gloria's body. The woman looked at him with a sad look.

"I'm sorry my mom."

The movement of the girl's lips spoke those two words before closing her eyes for good.

Karina stared flatly at Gloria's body. He doesn't know what to express.

From a distance, Charles saw everything. He was also surprised to see a speeding car intent on crashing into one of Gloria and Karina. He immediately contacted Ocean and told him to come to the clinic.

On the other hand, a woman laughed happily at the tragedy. Previously he had seen and filmed Karina and Gloria's petty quarrel. The woman then sent it to Ocean via a foreign number to keep the man from suspecting her.

Several people were seen starting to swarm closer to the accident. They saw a car hit a roadblock and the driver was found lifeless.

When everyone is trying to find help. Karina was busy with her thoughts. He seemed to have not expected Gloria to die after a small fight with him.

"Miss!" call Charles to Karina.

"We need to get Miss Gloria to the hospital."

Charles quickly asked some men to help lift Gloria's body into his car.

"Come, Miss." said Charles disperse the reverie of Karina.

But not to go with Charles.

"Go away. I will finish my business here." Karina said with a flat face back stepping into the clinic.

Charles is aware that saving Gloria is more important than thinking about the no-no. He was sure Karina would finish her business with Ocean. Lagian Ocean is also on her way to the clinic. After their location was shared by Charles.

Charles then drove at an above average speed. He did not want Herald Dirgantara Gultom angry to see the tragic condition of his lover.

Thirty minutes later, Charles stopped his car in front of the hospital lobby. He asked a security guard to park his car.

"Sir, I'm in a hurry! Please park my car in the public parking lot" said Charles following the steps of the officer who pushed the hospital bed.

"Are you a family patient?" ask the doctor who just intended to enter the ER room.

"The patient is the lover of my superior brother, Doc. The patient is the victim of an accident whose perpetrator has died on the spot. Please save my superior brother's lover." said Charles lowered his head.

"We will do our best" the doctor said, entering the ER room. He saw several treatments and the accompanying doctors were on standby with their respective duties.

"Please prepare several bags of blood type A for the patient" said the senior doctor again gave instructions to one of the accompanying nurses who helped Gloria surgery.

Hours passed, but the lights of the ER room were still red. While a woman dressed in glamour came in a hurry.

"Charles, how's my future daughter-in-law doing?" mariana asked with a worried face.

"I don't know yet, Madam. The doctor hasn't come out since" replied Charles with a flat face. He actually did not like to see his superior mother. It's just that she respects Mariana because she's the mother who raised Ocean.

Mariana is seen contacting someone and asking him to come to the hospital immediately.

15 minutes later, a middle-aged doctor came out of the operating room. He looked at Mariana and Charles with guilt.

"Please pardon. We cannot save patients. Because the injury to the physical patient is really severe. He had a pretty strong impact until some of the nerves in his brain were damaged. We are doing our best to save patients. God says something else. May the families left behind remain steadfast and strong. The patient will be immediately transferred to the mortuary" said the doctor with a trembling voice. Though he has deployed several doctors and nurses who excel to accompany him to do first aid to patients. However, God did not seem to support them to save Gloria.

"Gloria!!" shouted a fashionably dressed woman running towards them. He did not expect the only daughter he had been fighting for had to take his life at a young age.

"Rania..."

"I'm sorry I can't take care of your daughter." said Mariana with teary eyes.

The sound of the woman's cry sounded pitiful to the people who heard it.
