Siti Nur stopped her motorcycle in front of a black sedan parked in front of her gate. He raised his head and saw a man in his fifties sitting back and enjoying his cigarette on the porch of his house.
Siti Nur shook her head half annoyed. His facial expression changed immediately. The old man came again after a month or so did not come to see him. He had warned her not to see him until she had asked him to come. He did not want Milna to know who the man was and what he feared more, Milna finally knew what the purpose of the man's arrival before his time. Siti Nur turned on her motorcycle and took it inside the house.
The man smiled.
"Mother-in-law's home yet?" he said in a half-literate tone after turning off the cigarette in his hand into an ashtray. Siti Nur did not turn her head and indeed she did not want to see the man's face. Hearing the man call her mother-in-law, she felt disgusted and was about to vomit.
"Come on, Mom.Don't frown like that. Not okay. Prospective maids come to visit you are not welcome," said the man with a smile when he saw the unhappy facial expression of Siti Nur.
Siti Nur pulled the key and rushed over to the man.
"Stop calling me mom. I'm not your mother. You should have called me son, and your proper name for Milna would have been grandchild." Siti Nur looks upset. But his loud tone, plus his heightened emotions, made his heart beat even faster. He began to have difficulty breathing. Siti Nur held her chest. He stood up and stared intently at the man.
"That's it, Siti Nur. Just accept. You are sickly. No need to hide your condition in your plump body and beautiful face. Until death, you will not be able to pay your debts" said the man, smiling.
"My debt wouldn't be that much if you weren't sneaky. Wait until you are dead. You will be covered with usury in hell" said Siti Nur fiercely.
"Hahaha.., know what you are about hell, Siti Nur. Know what. Hell and heaven are in this world. I live happily with treasures like this, well, because I am currently enjoying my paradise. The opposite is happening to you. To wander is the same as hell," the man laughed as he could while pointing to the face of Siti Nur who still looked annoyed looking at him sharply.
"Enough, Mr. Darmanta. If indeed you are here just to make fun of and insult me, please leave this house," hardik Siti Nur.
Slowly the laughter of the man called Mr. Darmanta subsided. He looked towards Siti Nur.
"It's just that you kicked me out, Siti Nur. My future-in-law." Mr. Darmanta smiled and got up.
"Okay, I'll go. But tomorrow, early in the morning I will come again here so that Milna knows what agreement you have made with me" said Mr. Darmanta. He picked up his shoulder bag and was about to leave. Siti Nur closed her eyes. Because he was no longer strong, he decided to sit down.
"Yes, God. You're really torturing and making me miserable, Darmanta. You don't understand my feelings either. I warned you not to meet me here. But you did deliberately want to cancel your own marriage" said Siti Nur. He lowered his head. He already felt too tired to serve rough Mr. Darmanta.
"That's dong, that's a little subtle if you talk to the future son-in-law." Mr. Darmanta sat down again. He looked towards Siti Nur who turned her face away.
"You know why I suddenly came here? You've been missing for too long, Siti Nur. I'm afraid you betrayed us and forgot our deal" said Mr. Darmanta.
Siti Nur. The anger that had died down had risen again. He stared furiously at Mr. Darmanta.
Mr. Darmanta smiled.
"That was it, Siti Nur. That was. Once upon a time when your body was still like a Spanish guitar. If I may compare, then you were like a fruit that was ripe." Mr. Darmanta got up and stood in front of Siti Nur. He smiled looking at the face of Siti Nur who refused to look at him.
"Now, look at you. Your body and face are still okay, but your strength will no longer be able to withstand the onslaught of my wild horse power. Haha....." Mr. Darmanta laughed out loud as he clenched his hands together.
Siti Nur. He no longer has a way to respond to Mr. Darmanta. That old thing, it hasn't changed. He could not imagine that he would actually marry Milna. The man had become a frightening specter every night before his sleep. Half of his mind was drained thinking about the matter. But what was even more frightening was when he imagined when he had to tell Milna what really happened.
Siti Nur sighed and stared at Mr. Darmanta. This time his eyes looked clear.
"I beg you, go home. I'm afraid people see us both here. I'm afraid they think nothing of us" Siti Nur said in a flat tone.
Mr. Darmanta smiled. He lit his cigarette and sat down. Cigarette smoke billowed from his mouth.
"The people of that village will not dare to mess with me. Not only you, three families have made their daughters as collateral for their debts." Mr. Darmanta is back smoking his cigarettes. He raised his head proud. Siti Nur shook her head.
"But among the girls, Milna was number one. She'll be my first wife." He turned towards Siti Nur. "You should be proud to have a rich daughter-in-law like me" continued Darmanta, patting his chest.
Sulastri. He will no longer respond to Mr. Darmanta's words. It would only make her heart hurt more. Whatever he fought, he would still lose. He feels like he really has become a prisoner, Mr. Darmanta. He could only hope, the old man quickly left the house.
"All right, Siti Nur. I'm going first. Remember, you have to promise to keep looking after Milna until the next time I come to propose to her," said Mr. Darmanta. He got up and threw his cigarette butts deep into the yard. Siti Nur sighs in relief. He stood up. Mr. Darmanta is closer to him. Siti Nur retreated but her steps blocked the seat behind her.
Mr. Darmanta snorted his nose closer to Siti Nur's face. Siti Nur immediately turned away. He tried to block Mr. Darmanta's face with his palm. The smell of cigarette smoke gushed from the mouth of Mr. Darmanta, making Siti Nur's stomach nauseous.
Mr. Darmanta smiled.
"Unbelievably, just the smell of your sweat is a cry for mercy. Just make me horny," said Mr. Darmanta closed his eyes while inhaling the scent of Siti Nur's body.
"But baby, I have to save my energy for your son, Milna." Mr. Darmanta put his face back. He tightened his pants belt. After tidying his hair, he then walked with haughty steps towards the gate of the house.
Siti Nur looked at him with hatred.
