A horrifying sight, thousands or even millions of corpses strewn about, the ground turned red, as it absorbed so much spilled blood. Hundreds of thousands of swords were stuck in the ground, corpses were scattered to form hills, there was nothing left but a field decorated with countless corpses of humans or demons.
*Ting..............
*Ting..............
There were only the sounds of swords hitting each other and the screams of death from many people.
Is this... Real hell?
Rigel looked around and realized that he had no physical body. Hands or feet, he could not see them, he could only see the clear sight before his eyes.
Is this a dream?
Rigel stared at the area. He had never seen a place that looked as arid as this before. Besides his fight at the end of his hundred-year training. He gazed elsewhere and found a human being fighting with a demon and a figure with white wings who was an angel. The three races killed each other indiscriminately. Chaos really happens here.
Rigel looked up at the sky and found another fight. Demons and Angels and humans riding monsters also killed each other up there. Bodies fall from the sky, many lives are lost in seconds. This is not a battle, but a war.
Could this... A ragnarok?
Only one thing can explain the reason Armageddon is here, which is the beginning of the battle of Ragnarok. Each of the armies of every sense killed each other to achieve their victory. The war continued as usual, until twelve white lights emerged from the eastern sky, followed by some black lights from the west and some Southern humans.
The moment they appeared, the war began to completely break out and death was increasing. One by one they fell and almost reached a deadlock.
Those newly-emerged figures, were it possible Seraphim, Demon Pillar and... Her hero?
The scenery Rigel saw began to change to the other side. Right in front of him, Rigel saw a white-haired man kneeling on the ground. The man wore a red-colored robe with a thorny shield on his left shoulder. The situation around was very quiet, as if the war had ended. Rigel looked back at the man in front of him and realized that he was holding a corpse in his arms. His face is not known, his form is not even Rigel recognized, almost as if deliberately censored.
The man hugged her softly and affectionately, but the atmosphere around looked tense. Several humans were running and standing behind the man. Their faces and their figures were also unrecognizable. Only their mouths and eyebrows could Rigel see. From his queen, they seemed to be grieving over something.
The kneeling man stroked the cheek of the corpse on his lap and laid it on the ground gently. The man slowly stood up, both of his hands clenched very tightly. It was obvious that anger was enveloping him. The man slowly turned his head, almost as if realizing that Rigel was behind him. His face is like any other, unrecognizable.
Slowly the man turned his head and his lips began to move as if saying something. At a glance, Rigel saw the look in his eyes that were angry with the world and himself then, everything darkened.
"Rigel... Rigels..." A voice began to sound from that eternal silence, "Rigel!"
Rigel awakens from his sleep. She was half-naked, and was lying on a mattress in a tent. Rigel needs time to adjust his vision and the face of Tirith he first saw. Rigel tried to sit down and a piercing pain rained down on him.
"Rigel! you're sober! Don't push yourself and keep resting!" Tirith gave him a warning. His eyes were still teary with tears.
Although he had to lie down and recuperate, Rigel ignored Tirith's warning and sat down on his bed. He held his palm from feeling a little dizzy, "B-how long have I been unconscious?"
"You were unconscious for about seven hours... I'm grateful you're okay." Tirith wiped her tears.
Seven hours, which means now it's afternoon. I didn't think Rigel woke up this fast. Initially Rigel predicted that he would faint 2~3 days. Well, it's good if he regains consciousness sooner. For now, Rigel will have to recuperate slowly while knowing what happens while he faints.
"How is it doing now? and also, how's Ozaru?"
"The ape hero is currently fine, and it seems that he is still unconscious. The battle between the heroes and the Hero Ozaru who turned into a giant is fierce. In fact, the fan hero has to be taken care of because his leg was almost crushed in the crumb Mr. Ozaru." Tirith answered Rigel's question. He no longer blamed Rigel for lying down or sitting down.
"So, they managed to return Ozaru without killing him huh.. How do they do it?"
"I don't know for sure, but it looks like they cut off the tail." Tirith placed her index finger on the cheek while remembering the incident.
Rigel can sigh in relief for Ozaru who managed to survive. Petra had to suffer a little bit because of it. There are still so many things Rigel has to finish. So that he did not have time to lie down and rest.
"From that, are you really okay, Rigel?" Tirith asked sadly and worriedly.
"Don't I tell you before? I'm fine."
"Your eyes... You're crying." Oh."
Rigel was shocked and touched his right eye. Tirith was right, Rigel's tears fell for no reason. Rigel himself did not know what caused it.
"Have you just had a nightmare or something?" Tirith asked while tilting her head.
"No... I don't remember having any dreams."
Rigel wiped the matana water and got out of his bed. He slowly tried to stand up. The pain came back and stabbed his entire body. Rigel almost falls, but Tirith wakes up and helps Rigel stand up.
"You can't move, Rigel! stay lying down to recover!" Tirith slightly snapped at Rigel.
"No. can. Lying on the bed just made me sicker. There's still so much to do, I'm working on." Rigel refused to rest and still wanted to leave.
Tirith breathed a tired sigh. He did not expect that Rigel would become this stubborn to the point of not paying attention to the condition of his body, "Alright... But I will accompany you!" Tirith insisted on accompanying Rigel if he wanted to leave.
Rigel could not complain and let Tirith accompany him. Rigel immediately thought which thing he should do first. Rigel wants to contact Sylph immediately and confirm the girl's identity. But something else awaits him.
For now, I have to meet Asoka and Ray first.
Rigel decides to meet Asoka and Ray. He asked Tirith to lead him to where they were at the moment.
"Why do I feel the atmosphere is different than usual..." Rigel mutters. Tirith who heard that could only smile softly, "They saluted you, sincerely from the bottom of their hearts. You have defeated Tortoise and obliterated the mountain-sized body. How could they not be happy?" Tirith smiled mockingly.
The soldiers lined up and kneeled in disrespect without orders. Rigel was stunned by the sight before his eyes.
"Master Hero, thank you for defeating the creature. Thanks to you, my wife and children are not in fear of Tortoise anymore... Thank you!" A soldier expressed his feelings and cried, as did another soldier.
"A-h, y-yeah, I..." Rigel didn't know what to say. He was not used to being treated like this.
Rigel didn't take it easy, he just smiled and continued on his way to meet Ray and Asoka. Even though Rigel had gone past them, the soldiers still maintained their reverence until Rigel's figure had completely vanished before them.
After passing through the soldiers, Rigel arrived at a tent where the higher-ups of the Region were gathered. Rigel unhesitatingly went inside and found Ray, Asoka, Merial, Misa, Nisa and Fang were there. Realizing someone was entering, they immediately turned their head towards Rigel.
"Rigel! thank goodness you're okay!" Asoka was the first to react and approach Rigel. The other higher-ups just smiled and walked over to Rigel.
"Yes, I'm fine. Sorry for worrying you." Rigel said softly, "We're going through this section. So, Ray, how's the preparation going? I'm sure Takumi took her." Rigel continued.
Hearing Rigel directly discuss that, Ray immediately made a serious expression, "Yes... I've secured him by reconnecting his body before he's buried."
"Good, then what about the preparation of the magic circle?"
"It went well too and we're ready to do it any time." Hearing Rigel and Ray's conversation, Merial and the others including Tirith did not understand what Rigel and Ray were planning.
On the other hand, Misa seems to have realized the core of Rigel's plan.
"Then, Ray. You go first. Take Takumi with you, there are things I should talk to him about after that." Rigel turned towards Merial and looked at her, "And as for Merial, you come with me. We have to solve this problem."
Hearing Rigel call out to him, Merial probably guessed that he would get punished for letting Tirith go to the Region just then. Merial is ready to accept whatever Rigel will do to her. Ray quickly leaves like an Assassin and picks up Takumi.
Rigel grabbed the back of Merial and together with Tirith, they teleported to the place Rigel had prepared for a long time secretly. For the record, Ray holds a teleportation device that has been specially coordinated to the place.
Rigel, Merial and Tirith arrive in a mysterious forest. Mana content of nature is abundant here, forests and thick green grass and the air is still very fresh.
"Umm, this place, where?" Tirith asked while observing around.
"This place is inside the spirit forest, the paradise of the Elves... Valhalla." Rigel answered Tirith's question and simultaneously, the little fairies peeked out from the trees.
Merial and Tirith were very fascinated with the scenery around and the cuteness of the fairies. They looked like little insects with human form. The little elf slowly walked over to Tirith and Merial, feeling that they did not harm. Merial and Tirith were greeted kindly by the fairies.
"This is the first time I've seen a fairy..." Tirith muttered while letting one of the little fairies sit on her shoulder.
"You're right, Princess... Only certain people are usually allowed to enter the fairy forest. If this is really Valhalla, it means you've met the fairy queen, Old Rigel?!" Merial asked excitedly.
As Tirith and Merial turned to Rigel, they were shocked by how many little fairies were flying around Rigel. Some of them even leaned on his body and healed Rigel's wounds slowly.
"Yes, I've met him and he says that I have something that makes the fairies comfortable around me." Rigel said with a little piqued by the Elves.
"Our destination is right up there, let's go." Rigel ignored the Elves around him and walked towards his destination.
Cerial and Tirith looked at each other and followed Rigel from behind. They looked at the area in great admiration. The fairy forest is not a place to visit. So this scene was something new to them.
"Yes... So then... What are we gonna do here, Mr Rigel?" Merial asked. He was confused and wondered what Rigel wanted to do.
"I'll explain it later when Takumi and Ray get together with us. So I don't have to explain it twice." Rigel replied nonchalantly.
Merial was not satisfied with that answer. At first he hesitated a little, but he ventured to ask, "Does this have anything to do with the hero's death?"
Rigel stopped walking when he heard that. Cerial was a little afraid that her question offended Rigel.
"... Yeah." yeah." Rigel answers Merial's question, "This has something to do with Nanami's death." Continue and go back to walking.
A moment later, they found a mysterious door in black. Rigel extended his palm to the door and slowly opened it. The door opened and inside was a round room made of stone. Rigel stepped in, Merial and Tirith followed him in a daze.
The floor has a line of blue-colored rays that form a unique magic circle. There were several stone pillars at the edge of the room and a female corpse in the center of the magic circle.
"This place looks like the Hero Summoning Temple, and the corpse that's in the middle of it...!!" Tirith said in surprise.
"Whip hero, Miss Nanami?!" Merial continued Tirith's words, "Don't you, Mr. Rigel... Do you intend..."
The words of the Merial are cut by Rigel, "True... You must have heard it from Misa that I investigated the hero's death and resurrected him... However, instead of resurrecting her, I intend to give birth to a new hero... That's you." Rigel turned his head towards Merial and pointed at him.
Surprised and unmoved. That's all Meial can do. Even Tirith was very surprised by Rigel's words. He knows that Rigel is the one who always does the most absurd things, however. Giving birth to a new hero is something that goes beyond common sense!
"You might think I'm crazy or something. And maybe this idea is beyond common sense. But trust me, I am not crazy. Until now I really underestimated this damn world. But not anymore. I'll really play serious from this point on..." Rigel clenched his fists and smiled.
From the other side, a door opened. There Rigel finds Ray and Takumi who have just arrived. From Takumi's curious face, it seems that Ray hasn't explained anything to him.
"Everyone has gathered, now let's start the revival of a new hero." Rigel's smile grew deeper and this made him very fluttering...
