Kusanagi Sword
It had been 15 minutes since Rigel had walked alone to the gathering place of a large amount of magic energy.
"I don't think there's more shipwrecks than I imagined..."
The wreck around seems to have been here for a very long time, some of which can be guessed as warships from a dynasty in the past and some more, most likely merchant ships. Perhaps there he would find some treasures as well as magic items from the warship. Since Rigel was going to help Cold rebuild his country to form an army, Rigel obviously needed a large sum of money and he intended to take the entire treasure from the wreck.

Rigel assumes that if Takatsumi and King Altucray work together, he believes that Takatsumi must have absorbed what is left of the ancestral sword as well as the founder of the Britannia kingdom, the sword belonging to King Arthur, Excalibur. From what Rigel remembered, the sword was used as a source of energy for the protector who continuously protected the kingdom of Britannia for generations. So, it was not impossible if Takatsumi had the sword Excalibur.
"Emm...?? Is that you, Rigel...??"
On his way, Rigel meets a man he knows.
"Yes, it's me Ray... Because the smell of this place is so rotten that I use stuff from my world to avoid that bad smell..."
That man is Ray, he seems to be camping in this rotten place that is inside the Hydra's body. Ray wore a white cloth to cover his nose and mouth so as not to inhale the foul smell around.
"Ahh, so so... I barely recognize you... Then, what brings you here...?? Do you want to see the Hydra Sword stuck in there...??"
Guessing Ray was on target, Rigel nodded in response and Ray escorted Rigel to where the sword was. Not long after they walked, they finally reached the place where the Hydra sword was.
"This is the place..."
Rigel was surprised by what was in front of him. Again, Rigel almost forgot he was inside Hydra's body. There, in the middle of the green water, was a sword stuck in the piled flesh, green smoke was also flying around. Rigel was about to fly and go there, but he was stopped by Ray.
"Wait, Rigel... It's too dangerous to go there..."
"What is dangerous...?? You don't have to worry if I get hit by that sword curse... I have something that can remove the curse..."
"No, that's not the problem..."
Rigel tilted his head, he did not understand what Ray was trying to tell him. Ray looked around and not far away, he picked up a piece of wood that came from the wreck. Ray threw the piece of wood into the green liquid that surrounded where the sword was stuck. Surprisingly, the green liquid slowly melted the wood that Ray threw. Rigel was shocked by what he had just seen. Rigel understood what Ray was trying to say before.
"So so... The protease enzyme, huh...??"
Ray doesn't seem to understand it. Rigel simply nodded and started explaining.
"Yes... In short, Protease Enzymes are digestive enzymes that break down proteins in food... There are several types of them, but I don't really remember them... That's all I know..."
"Oh, yeah... Then, this fluid is what digested all the things that Hydra swallowed...??"
"I don't think so, the chances of this liquid are a little different."
"Different...?? What do you mean...??"
"If this liquid really is the Protease Enzyme, he should have crushed the wrecks there. But he didn't do it... So, I was thinking that this liquid was there to prevent someone from taking a sword from smashing something into the Hydra..."
Ray nodded in understanding with Rigel's explanation. If that's really a digesting enzyme, it's weird that it doesn't melt a finished shipwreck, Rigel has a very logical reason for that.
For the fog flying in the air Rigel did not know too much, but most likely it was Poison. Rigel was already wearing a mask that made him avoid inhaling the poison, so there was no need to worry.
"Well, we won't know until we try... I'm gonna go over there and get that sword..."
Without needing to hear Ray's reply, Rigel immediately flew very quickly towards where the sword was located. Before plucking it, Rigel checked first if there would be any traps or curses on the sword...
"Hm... This sword does contain a slight curse, but it might not affect me..."
The sword had a unique engraving near its hilt and its blade was more akin to a japanese katana than a sword. The power that the sword exuded was quite great, even Rigel could sense it.

Rigel slowly pulled the Hydra sword from its place. The sword that was originally completely black began to shine bright and dazzling. Ray, Rigel and all the soldiers who were there had to close their eyes because of the light from the sword.
"W-what happened...??"
The aerial view looked directly at the direction the light source was coming from. Originally from where the Hydra sword was located, Merial thought it was likely Rigel who pulled out his sword.
"Woe... It's great, I can feel the power of this sword merging with my strength... Hmm, the name of this sword is the same as I thought, Kusanagi..."
With this Rigel can finally have a weapon strong enough for him to use in battle. Even though he possessed various great skills such as sea power and Necromancer, Rigel still wanted a weapon.
"I'll keep this sword..."
