The Indigo Evolution (Silver Alaska)
Night and Snow

...Fairy tales are more than true: not because fairy tales tell us that dragons exist...

...But because the fairy tale tells us that dragons can be defeated...

_____

Exactly a week since Dion's departure. Rey has not greeted her colleagues at all. Rey hasn't even eaten with them for a week.

Only a greeting, also the answer yes and not only that Rey can throw. Morning as usual they will be busy carrying out the mission, they will be at headquarters together at night.

But the incident took away all of Rey's cheerful character. The encounter between himself and his sister, Dion's death brings him into a tremendous grievous embrace.

Tonight the four of them had gathered in the dining room, the atmosphere was quite quiet tonight. There was only the sound of the clanking of spoons and forks. There was only the sound of a sip of water, as well as the taste buds.

They stopped their activity for a moment when they saw Rey just coming down the stairs. Rey wore a thick jacket, as well as a gray knitted hat.

Every night he always went out, to the wilderness where the would-be kstaria magic established camp there before being accepted into Rensuar.

Near the area, it was about a fifteen-minute walk from where Riley set up his ranch. That's where Rey stayed for a week at night.

"Rey?"

Greet Debora as Rey passes them. Rey simply stopped looking at them while throwing a faint smile. There is absolutely no answer to that greeting.

"Rey, I'm cooking rib soup for you! You don't want it?"

Justice tried to melt the atmosphere there, lifting a bowl of soup that was still warm showed it right towards Rey.

To be honest, his heart felt that he lost Rey here, too, he missed the silly fights that often occur between him and Rey almost every day.

For a moment Debora looked at the eyeball, still there. The suffering is still inside Rey. Riley is silent this time, but her nether is also watching Rey there.

"Thank you, I'm not hungry!" Rey said, then rushed away leaving his partner.

It was so stunned to hear that answer. Rey usually won't turn down things from her partner as long as it's good. Justice put the soup back in her hands, then lowered her head.

"Dion is a great Musketeers, I admire him. To be a shield to protect another life, it takes a tremendous amount of courage."

Deborah smiled wryly at the bitter expression of Justice's voice.

Rey once told him that Dion liked him. Debora appreciates that, but her heart belongs to only one Rey. Other humans were not allowed to stop by him at all.

"Sometimes humans have to get to the point of loss to understand the meaning of presence. The meaning of a presence will be felt when loss has taken it." Mikhail.

This was the deepest expression of condolence from within their hearts. Dion was not very close to them.

They just got to know each other. They only know the cover without knowing the contents. The thing that astonished them was when Dion ran towards Rey.

That day where hers had been drained too much. The hundreds of demons that had come to surround them made them expel all the rest of their power.

Their goal is to banish the devils. But when the Devil was swept away, their property was inadequate to help Rey who was stuck there.

From inside the protector, Dion ran using the rest of his magic. Darting along with a flash of lightning came, becoming a shield replacing Rey's death at that time.

Death, is something that most souls fear that is still breathing. But Dion, as soon as the heroic man ran as if he had a thousand more lives in the world.

It was so nice that they witnessed that. Rensuar that day cried in front of a body that was so brave. One hero who protects the important icon of Rensuar.

Rey Arlert is the epitome of hope. The only man to possess a legendary weapon. The young man in the prophecy who came. Defeated the Devil a hundred million souls.

A hero who defies threats, tries to protect the solutions of the world by making himself a shield.

"We can write a thousand farewell words. But all we feel is one, loss. As much as we feel loss, we are not allowed to give up on life. The world is still a mess, and we've sworn." Deborah.

The guidance from within his heart was thrown out representing his current feelings.

"I feel like I'm losing my chest!" Said Justice origin.

A strange look from Riley as well as Debora darted towards him. This man, his words made both of them amused really.

"For whatever reason, please give back to that sickening human like old times! The dining table is empty without him!"

Justice made Debora smile. That word is true. The life in their most radiant friendship, is Rey. She was a beautiful figure to describe her nature.

A person who is respected by all Rensuar humans. Although sometimes often troublemaking, even though the higher-ups are often upset, but Arlert is the best here.

Without a second thought, Debora walked over to the kitchen this time. His hands began to busy looking for something on the shelf.

Deborah smiled when she found what she was looking for, apparently a meal. After finding her, Debora again walked closer to the dining table. There his hand again coolly took some side dishes, he put it into the lunch box.

Riley understands what Debora is doing right now, this girl is going to see Rey. This girl will bring Rey back as she was.

"Wife like this Juice! This is the new wife!"

Riley flattered Debora. The girl standing there met hearing that, always like this.

"What are you talking about, Riley?" Sangkal Deborah, while still taking some side dishes there.

"You're Rey's handler, we're here for nothing!" Said Riley again, Justice folded her hands hearing that.

"I pray that Rey will understand your feelings soon, Deborah!"

Mikhail's last words made all the red crawl over his face.

Only Deborah is capable. The bond between them is really close.

Deborah sighed as the lunchbox was already fully filled. The box he kept in his domain. Back, the two neutrals stared fixedly at the three colleagues.

"We must learn from adversity, not run from circumstance. Sadness must be enveloping us, but do not let it settle. The world won't change if we stop here."

It felt like they were re-igniting fire in their chests. That's right what Debora said. The earth is in chaos, falling too long it is not necessary. Prolonged deterioration, will not change anything that has been set.

It's still snowing, but here Debora decides to go see Rey. The baron must be awakened to rise again.

Rey is hope, that's why Debora's going there. Visiting Rey who is still dissolved in her grief. Riley believes only Debora can handle this.

_________

The snow is still falling, this night is quite cold, silence also accompanies. Deborah rubbed her own palm, trying to ease the cold that was holding her. The roar of his breath condensed.

From a distance the net began to see lights from inside the small tent. Some younger people than him were gathered there.

Some were sleeping in tents, some were busy cooking some food. Some were chatting while enjoying tea in their cups.

This is camp area. The would-be magic knights would not step foot into the Rensuar without the permission of its Musketeers

It seemed that he had a little recollection, when he was still not a magic knight, when the title of Musketeers had not been addressed to him. Indigos will be given a special place before becoming Knights.

They would be separated from some humans without ability. Indigos will not live in the city with those who are not capable.

They were given a place to live in the forest. Every six months, the registration of candidates for magic kstaria will be held. There, from their forest to the front gate of Rensuar.

About fifteen minutes Deborah walked through the wilderness. Currently Debora is right between the expanse, a stretch of grass covered with snow.

The expanse is quite wide. His steps paused for a moment when he saw one human, with a robe just like his.

One man was Rey, in the middle of the expanse, hit by snow that was still falling. The young man sat cross-legged on a large rock. Debora decides to approach Rey.

"Why are you here, Deborah?"

Debora paused her steps for a moment as Rey asked a question. In her heart she wondered why Rey knew she was here and her netra didn't look back.

"Rey, can I sit with you tonight?"

Rey smiled at hearing that. How he was able to reject one of his heart. But to just answer the question from him it feels like Rey does not want to. Rey was fed up with herself, and there were many regrets that filled the recesses of her heart.

"May I sit down?" Ask Deborah again.

This time Debora stood right beside Rey while patting the stone that Rey was sitting on. Rey nodded without looking at him. The two of them on top of the boulder were both staring at the sky.

"Rey!"

Calling Debora while still staring at the sky, Rey only responded to the soft greeting with deheman.

"I want you to share all the burdens in your heart tonight with me." That sincerity slightly made his heart tremble.

"I don't need anyone for that! It is mine, why should another human being bother to carry it with me?" Answer Rey.

"Because we're family!"

That answer touched Rey.it was the right answer. They've lived for a few years together, through everything together.

"If failure is like rain and success is like the sun, it takes both to see the rainbow. It's never too late to start, nor to end."

This time Rey looked at him, and there Debora also looked at him. Their net meeting tonight carved out a smile.

This girl stopped beside him carrying a beautiful piece of advice. It felt Rey slapped upon hearing that.

Seeing the calmness present enveloped Rey's face, from within Debora's domain pulled the lunchbox she was carrying. The appearance of the dining box made Rey wonder.

"Eat!"

Debora said, handing over the lunch box. There Debora was still smiling. This girl is so sweet tonight, her every speech and every behavior is always able to melt her heart.

"It looks like it's time for you to get Rey up!"

The voice from within that domain made him quite upset tonight. Always, every time Rey spends time alone with Debora, Grandpa's curse is always disturbing.

"Yes I know, you can't bother my Honeymoon tonight!"

"Honeymoon's? What is it, try explaining it?"

"Something to make a child! Ahhaha.."

"This kind of lewd sin of yours, why not just perish! You haven't married her don't you dare to fuck her!"

Rey laughed at that, Debora looked in front of him in wonder at Rey.

"Why are you laughing Rey?"

Deborah asked while tilting her head. The white mane fell down and fluttered, Rey reached out her hand to grab the white mane tucking it beside her ear.

Why is the moon tonight so beautiful to shine a light upon this man before him. While shaking the mane, Rey receives a box of food from Deborah's hand.

After doing so, Rey looked back at her lunchbox. He did not care at all about Deborah, who was meeting beside him. In short it was enough to make his heartbeat almost run.

"Have you eaten?" Rey asked as she opened the lunch box.

"We ate together earlier. The dining table is quiet without you Rey!"

The answer to her question made Rey extend the lunchbox back to Debora.

"uh? What's?" Debora asked in surprise, but there Rey just rang.

"Debo, I'll eat from your hands! So, bribe me yes, thank you for bringing it for me."

That request doesn't feel hard for Deborah. Anything to bring Rey back to what she used to be. Deborah received back the lunchbox, their dinner menu tonight was soup.

From within her domain Deborah picked up a spoon, meal after meal tonight brought them closer. It took only ten minutes for Rey to finish her entire meal. There, Deborah begins to return the lunchbox back to her domain.

"It's delicious, thanks Deborah!" Rey.

Rey came down from the rock, standing back to Deborah this time.

"We've rested long enough, thank you for reminding me to fight."

Rey said as she looked at the ceiling. The words carried Deborah walking towards him. They're standing in line now.

There's something in Rey's heart, and there she remembers the deal. Agreement from within the domain, between himself and the Baron. That made Rey want to say one thing to Debora tonight. All the words that were piling up in his heart.

"Deborah, may I ask you a question?"

Rey said while looking at him this time, it made Debora do the same. Her net also looked back at Rey.

"If one day I leave you, will you miss me?"

What kind of words Rey is saying tonight. Of course his heart would miss this young man greatly. But what was the question said to him.

"Rey, you've been considered my family. And I love you!"

"Is it really just family?"

The question deepened the feeling. Rey seemed to want to reveal all the feelings from inside Debora's heart at this time. Unable to answer that, Debora simply nodded.

"Deborah, you're blushing! You like me, don't you?"

That question made Deborah turn away now. The misbehavior made Rey laugh. There Rey pulled something out of her domain, a knitted hat belonging to her sister.

Rey gently put the hat on Debora's head. Trying to protect the mane from the snow that is still falling.

"You can die if you want. But don't die so easily while you're with me! Because if you're gone, then somebody's gonna be really sad. Don't ever harm yourself again because of me!"

This time Rey said as she rubbed her face, the head was very close to her. It felt like the distance between their faces at this moment.

"Ahh come on, it's night let's go home!"

Rey distanced herself from Debora as she stretched her arms out stretching her muscles. There Debora looks still sculpting, for what Rey said to her.

Tonight, Rey accidentally hands Deborah's only memory. There was a reason why he did that to her.

...There's a big lesson from 'Beauty and the Beast'...

...That something must be loved before it can be loved...
