Chapter 17

Mayor Cho made a tournament with a huge prize. The prize awarded was 5,000 Gold. People who have magic power and holy animals flocked to this event.

"Are you interested in attending this show?" rico asked his two best friends.

"I'm interested in coming because the reward is so great, but I don't want my saint animal to be so badly injured" Miron replied.

"I want to come!" kouga said to his master.

"Well!" The three men did not believe.

"Why would you go on such a show?" ask Kelly to Kouga.

The little wolf-like saint beast stared at Rico. He really hopes to join the event in order to win the prize. He wanted his master to have a lot of money. So as not to starve when there is no food, so can buy.

"Well if you want it, but don't push yourself if you get a much stronger enemy" said the young man wearing a leather jacket.

"Ready, Master!" reply Kouga. 

Finally, the three of them went to the tournament held by Mayor Cho. There are so many participants who participate, so they must follow the selection first. They fight one on one and in each group 4 people will be selected. Later they will be met for the first time in the arena gladiator totaling 12 people. Fortunately Rico and the others were not in one group.

Rico's first opponent was a sacred animal hunter. Rico's opponent was a short-bodied but fat man, with a sacred animal in the form of a frog.

Kouga in the first fight could easily defeat his opponent, even though he was in the form of a small wolf. Likewise with Kelly and Miron, in the first round match they went smoothly because of getting a weak opponent.

The matches they follow in each round, the opponent gets stronger. The three of them also had to raise mana, in order for their saint beasts to unleash a much greater power.

They had a match from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm, this was only the preliminary round. For the real match tomorrow. Rico and his two friends qualify and head into tomorrow's game.

The next day the gladiatorial arena was filled with spectators. There are 12 players who will play today. They were all lined up in the middle of the gladiatorial arena field together with their respective saint beasts. 

All participants take a sequence number, after which they will fight the person who has been determined according to the number. Rico and his friends get odd numbers, so in the first round they do not meet. This feels beneficial to them. 

The first round battle Riko and the others managed to defeat their opponents. Although using considerable strength, but they and their holy animals did not suffer serious injuries. Only minor injuries and can be treated by Kelly.

"You must be careful when fighting the man wearing the green robe. He has enormous power and so does his sacred animal" Miron said, and is possessed by Rico and Kelly.
