THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME
Other Post Match Interviews

*FREEEE*

Emily's eyes sparkled in delight as the referee blew the final whistle, ending the match on the pitch.

Inside, he smiled as a frenzy of applause, coupled with shouts of excitement, broke out in the stands of Lerkendal Stadium. In the seats around him, the Rosenborg fans smiled in excitement as they enjoyed their team's sweet and sweet victory.

Troll Kids managed to maintain their 2:0 lead against Tromso Idrettslag, ending the night with three points in the bag. Better yet, Zachary, his client, who scored the two goals that helped Rosenborg to victory. His spirit surged as he thought of the possible implications of one of Zachary's extraordinary performances.

"Your client's set-piece technique is something" Ryan Bellmore, his race car driver friend, chanted from the side. "I suggest you encourage him to move to White Hart Lane before other top teams see him."

"Ryan," said Emily, raising an eyebrow. "I'll introduce you to her later. Don't mention unnecessary things, like he moved away from his current team when you met him."

"Don't worry" Ryan replied with a smile. "I would just suggest we go racing for a few days. Not more." He added jokingly.

"Ryan!" Emily recited, giving him a sideways look.

"OK, okay," said Ryan, still smiling. "I am a responsible athlete. Don'worry. By the way, why not approach the car and phone company about support. They have better deals than any other company, especially here in Norway."

"I'll see," replied Emily indifferently, not wanting to discuss this topic any further.

Another wave of cheers immediately swept across the stadium as Zachary and his teammates moved around the pitch, waving at fans to show appreciation for their support. The cheers and applause slowly grew into a crescendo until they mixed into one sustained roar — that shook the stadium, seemingly almost exploding from the roof. It was pure madness in the stands of — not mindless spectator maniacs, but a wave of pure happiness and excitement brought by Rosenborg who emerged victorious from a hard-won match.

The corner of Emily's mouth lifted as she got up from her seat like the rest of the fans and began clapping to give a standing ovation to the Rosenborg players. He felt at home in the crowd even though he could not understand the Norwegian words chanted by the fans around him. But several times, his ears managed to catch Zachary Bemba's words from the noise and chatter around him.

Emily believes her client's reputation rose to a higher level after the game that day. He could already imagine various brand representatives with endorsement deal offers starting to approach him in droves over the coming weeks. He could smell the money.

Zachary felt satisfaction in him as he walked into the designated area for the press after the final whistle. He just got word from the coach that he needs to take the post-match interview one more time because he is the man of the match. His spirit flew high. He managed to score two more goals for Rosenborg, bringing his tally to five. It all felt so unreal to him at the time because he had only made his professional debut a week earlier.

Zachary found press people waiting for him excitedly on one side of the pitch. Since he already had experience dealing with them, he remained calm while approaching the camera. The journalists noticed him when he was still about a dozen steps away from the area designated for them. With all the haste they could muster, they all started focusing their camera lenses on him, trying to capture his image.

He did not feel shaken by the attention as he had already experienced the press during his post-match interview at the weekend. He just had to think of the media people as another group of fans to avoid the pressure of being in front of the camera.

"Welcome back, Zachary" TV2 correspondent Sporten said as soon as Zachary stepped forward. "We're glad you're here one more time." He added with a smile.

"Thank you" Zachary replied, smiling back. He recognized his reporter, Olav Brusveen. He was the same person who interviewed him over the weekend after the Aalesunds FK game.

Olav Brusveen is a perfect example of an archetypal TV personality. She has dark blue eyes and a neatly trimmed black beard that matches her slender hair combed to one side. Some people were smiling, but the man himself was smiling. Everything about him exuded a gentle and earthy joy as he shook Zachary's hand, welcoming him in the press area.

"You made a strong start as a team" Olav said, going straight into business as soon as the interview started. "You were on the front foot from the start. You dictate the tempo and keep Tromso under pressure throughout the duration of the first half. Nevertheless, you cannot get that early goal and get any advantage from the players. North. But that all changed at the last minute because of you. You are the man of the match once again. How are you feeling, Zachary?"

"Obviously, I feel great" Zachary replied quickly. "I came to this game with the sole purpose of winning. I am delighted that I got the chance to be the one to give my team the edge they need to take the game. But I can't forget my contribution. Both Nicki and Tarik are both on fire and are working hard to force defenders into fouls in the final third of the pitch. Both were brilliant during the game."

"Two free-kicks," continued Olav, smiling at Zachary. "Can you hit them better at all?!"

Zachary was beaming at the question. "Obviously, not better. I tried my best, and they got into the back of the net. Aren't you?"

"Yes, of course," replied Olav. "The two goals were phenomenal to the point that some people attribute your dead ball technique to David Beckham's technique. How big a compliment is that?"

"Oh!" Zachary replied, trying to organize his words. "That's a very nice compliment. I have always admired the dead ball technique of the English player. To be honest, I have even practiced using some of his videos as tutorials. I'm happy that my work has finally paid off. A lot of work has to be done to get to his level."
