In the company meeting room.

Nichole felt physically and mentally exhausted. His eye bags are a little clear. His face was a bit dull and his lips were a little pale. His mind was also very chaotic.

He was almost depressed.

"The company's progress continues to decline. If I let this go and don't take action, then the company will go bankrupt. I can't afford to waste the company I've managed for 5 years. Moreover, Ansell would be disappointed if I failed to do this" Nichole said.

He breathed heavily.

Not only thinking about family matters, Nichole also still has to think about company matters. Even though Ansell is back, all the responsibility is still in Nichole's hands.

Actually Nichole's burden on the company is so much. He has to take care of everything from the small things to the big things. Nichole really tried hard so that the company he built can grow rapidly.

Therefore, he was busy looking for cooperation with many companies that could boost their company. He was determined to get this company moving forward. He did not want to disappoint Ansell who had entrusted the company to him.

"I have to work harder this time. I'm not going to give up because I've come this far" Nichole said.

In the room, a director of a cooperative company would negotiate with Nichole. He was a business partner introduced by his second uncle.

"It must be hard to face this guy. Second uncle's shipment was never good" Nichole murmured.

After clearing some papers, Nichole approached the director politely. He sat down gracefully and asked, "Welcome, director, to our little company."

The director laughed, "Don't humble yourself. I'm honored to come to this place."

"Then, are we going to talk about business today?" asked Nichole smiling gently. He could still face the director politely.

The director replied with a full sentence of praise, “Nona, you are a smart and accomplished woman. Your talent is recognized everywhere. You will see a great opportunity to work with us. So, you better accept our offer.”

The director explains the offer from their company at length. He also gave thick documents to Nichole. Then, he went back to telling the details of his offer.

Nichole read all the documents carefully while still listening to the director's explanation.

At first he could still smile at the first page. However, the more he read and heard, the more furrowed his forehead became.

This offer is really detrimental!

Nichole massaged his temple and replied, “If I accept your offer, then we will get nothing for two years. It will hurt our company. I can't accept the cooperation that would bring down the company. However, if you still want to change the offer, then it could be me willing.”

"I stick to my offer. It was the best offer I ever made. If I change the offer, this cooperation can't happen. I don't want to force your company either" the director replied.

"We are also not a company that will accept losses voluntarily. Just think about how much loss we receive if you work with your company" Nichole said.

"I told you it was the best offer. If your company feels a loss, then the target of our cooperation is not you" said the arrogant director.

He paused for a moment and continued, “Let me guess. Surely my second uncle has made a big offer to you so you're willing to make this deal."

He could read their tactics. This is something he usually encounters during his business. Moreover, his second uncle was a petty person.

Guessing his steps was easy.

From the beginning his uncle introduced him to the director, Nichole already had a bad premonition. And it turns out that his bad feeling was right.

The director smiled and instantly admitted, “True. You really are a smart woman. Me and your second uncle are working together and he made a big offer to me. If you were given free fish, certainly wouldn't refuse, would you?”

Previously, the director had spoken to Nichole's second uncle. They are old partners. Nichole's second uncle asks for his help so that his company can work with Nichole.

Initially the director refused the invitation. He felt Nichole's company was too small and would not benefit his company.

However, the offer given by second uncle Nichole was so tempting. This is what led the director to approve Nichole's second uncle's plan.

If it wasn't for Nichole's second uncle, the director wouldn't be working with their company. In fact, the director never knew about Nichole's company.

"So, you've received a big offer, but still want to drain our small company? You're too greedy. Or maybe you can't afford to work with a big company because it's eating away at a small company?" Nichole doesn't want to be outdone by the director's incisive remarks.

"You can say whatever you want. Last time I said, I wouldn't change the offer. If you don't want to accept the offer, it means you don't want to cooperate" the director smiled, as if unaffected by Nichole's remarks.

"Once again I also tell you that I will not accept cooperation that harms our company" Nichole said.

Smile praising the director turned into a mockery, “I think you're very smart. However, after I think again, you are not a smart woman but a devious woman. You only think about profits for your own company. You can't see this great opportunity either. Your mindset is really stupid. I used to want to work with you because you're beautiful. However, that beauty of yours means nothing more to me if you refuse my offer."

After saying that, he prepared to leave.

"If you can't accept our offer, then don't expect this cooperation to be established. We do not want to work with selfish company leaders who only think about their own benefits, do not care about the offer of business partners," said the cynical director.

The director easily praised him at the beginning and threw a shameless insult at the end. He is a very experienced two-faced man.

He thought Nichole would stop him and begged them to work together. He was always confident in this way.

However, just as the director was about to exit the room, he saw Ansell standing in the doorway.

Nichole was surprised and delighted to see his presence. He said in a rather loud voice, “Ansell, how did you get in the company?”

Ansell replied calmly, “I've always been lucky for many years.”

The director looked at Ansell fixedly, showing an aura of hostility. Ansell returned her cold gaze.
