Double Insect

Fareed who had since looked calm, he immediately felt emotion after hearing Ansell's insults. His words were so piercing that Fareed felt slapped.

“What do you mean? Watch your mouth if you still love life! Don't just talk! Who do you think you are? You're just a fool in the middle of nowhere who doesn't know anything. Your mouth is poisonous. Totally inappropriate for a man!” shouted Fareed furiously.

He himself was not aware of the words that were issued, but instead said Ansell's mouth was poisonous. Men seem to deserve to be considered dogs by Ansell.

Fareed took a short breath and continued, "Don't think I'll let you. I also have the right to expel you. Don't because you know Reynard then I'll be afraid of you!"

Though he had only met Ansell for the first time, but his regret was the same as for Reynard who had been a rival for many years.

He did not understand why he had already felt hate when Ansell came the first time. In addition to his aura that made Fareed feel rivaled, his good looks also made Fareed want to destroy his face.

Fareed really didn't want to be rivaled.

However, Ansell was not affected just because of such words. He walked through Fareed and towards the old general. Ansell directly checked the state of the old general.

When Fareed wanted to get in Ansell's way, Reynard immediately confronted him and slightly threatened him, "If you dare to stop him, I won't hesitate to touch your family."

Currently the old general was lying weakly on the bed. His body looked stiff and his face pale. Medical devices kept beeping indicating the condition of the old general.

Ansell watched the old general from top to bottom. No bruising or other physical injuries. It means the general's internal illness is so severe.

Reynard refocused on Ansell examining his father. Reynard said, “Doctor said, my father's condition has been very severe. If he's not treated until tonight, then I'm afraid he can't be saved again. Therefore I ask for your help.”

Reynard was deeply saddened by this statement. Even though he was old enough, losing a parent was the thing that destroyed him the most. He can withstand the devastation of losing business.

But, he could not resist the loss of parents.

His father's illness is unknown. He could not calm down even though his father had to die. At least he should know what disease it is and take revenge on the person who caused his father's condition to be like this.

Ansell wanted to touch the old general to check his pulse, but the doctor who was there hurriedly stopped him.

"Master, don't haphazardly hold the general. We don't know the disease yet. If the disease is contagious, you can get into trouble" the doctor said.

He was a doctor who from the very beginning treated the old general. He knows more than any other doctor who has ever come. He was the only doctor who could prevent the old general's illness, although he was not sure what the disease was.

He said the general may have had an infectious disease because he felt Ansell was the same as previous doctors who could not treat the old general.

Doctors don't want Ansell to make things worse.

Ansell sighed softly and said to Reynard, “Don't worry. The general can be healed. Trust the safety of the General to me. He'll be fine.”

"Doctor, I trust Mr. Ansell. If you still want to stop him, better get out of this room" Reynard said firmly. He didn't want to offend Ansell.

The doctor can see if Ansell is not a liar. This time he wanted to see if Ansell was the same as the other doctors or not. So, he exited the room after being ordered by Reynard.

"If you need help, just call me, sir," the doctor said before leaving the room.

Ansell began to examine the old general's pulse. He felt his condition very closely. He touched all over his body and looked into his eyes to ascertain what disease the old general was suffering from.

"You're all out too! No one enters as long as Mr. Ansell is healing the general. If anyone breaks, I won't hesitate to kill you" Reynard said.

The people who were there immediately came out after hearing Reynard's strict orders. No one dared to refute him, including Fareed.

After the doctor and the man there left, Ansell told the old general's condition to Reynard, “I checked it out earlier. From his bloodstream and pulse, I could feel his body have a double insect that could fall on others. If one person dies, the other will be poisoned. This insect instantly makes one person die, but the other dies slowly.”

Reynard was surprised. He had heard of double insects. From what he knew, it was a deadly disease that was extremely sadistic.

"Isn't the disease deadly? I don't know much about it, but it's definitely something rare because there's no doctor who can diagnose it from so many doctors" Reynard said in a panic.

He really didn't think his father would get a disease like this. However, how can this disease spread in his father's body?

"True, this disease is indeed very deadly. We have to be careful in treating it" Ansell replied.

"Then, does this disease have a cure, sir? Don't rare diseases usually have no cure?" reynard asked in a panic.

"Don't worry. I will definitely cure the general. I know the cure," Ansell replied calming him down.

Ansell paused for a moment before continuing, “Try you remember, lately who the old general killed. If you already know the person, take care of this matter.”

"Does this have anything to do with the man my father killed?" ask Reynard.

"Maybe someone feels vengeful. He did this sadistic way to kill the general. This is the most effective way to kill many people. It is only necessary to lay double insects on the most vulnerable person killed. After that, the other targets can be directly poisoned when one person dies" Ansell told Reynard.

Reynard's heart was breaking. His father was a senior general who definitely had many enemies. He kills people for state duty, not because he wants to. He also did not kill innocent people.

Surely one of those generals killed was the culprit.
