Two Years Later...

Two years ago was the moment of losing many members of the third generation Pratomo clan family. After Javier lost against lymphoma, followed by Neil Blair. A few months later, Duncan Blair followed his cousin for a heart attack.

Gozali Ramadhan died a month after Duncan became ill and Maira requested that her husband's body be buried close to his biological parents in accordance with his will. Arya Ramadhan and Adrian brought the bodies of papa and Opanya from Bali to Jakarta.

Three years earlier Mamoru Al Jordan and Joshua Akandra died of the same disease, second-stage diabetes. Miki Al Jordan followed a year later. Senna and Kai Al Jordan died a year ago in a boat accident. Tamara and Fatimah are now together with Reyhan and Ayrton who hold the power of Al Jordan.

A year ago also Eiji Reeves, the third generation of the biang gesrek, died in his sleep. Ayame Agasa Reeves who found her husband in a state of leaving with a smiling face.

The third generation is Ghani Giandra, Eagle McCloud and Raymond Ruiz. After Miki Al Jordan, Agatha Arata passed away a year ago following her husband Javier

The wedding plan between Alea and Chris had to be postponed because of the many third generation who died and they also know how the big family of the Pratomo clan is still grieving.

Chris himself understands the close family members especially the Al Jordan family has lost all the third generation. Sometimes Chris catches Alea daydreaming often after Oma Miki and Oma Ingrid leave. The loss of both of her beloved women, left Alea still deeply saddened.

"Humaira, don't daydream" Chris smiled as he came to his girl's study and sat in the front seat of Alea's desk.

"My Rohi. I'm sorry I daydreamed. I remember Oma Miki and Oma Ingrid. Surely they are happy there to be gathered together with opa Joshua and opa mamoru and opa Masyuki."

Chris smiled. "Of course, honey. Oh, you don't seem to tell me much about Opa Masayuki. How come I didn't meet his granddaughter?"

"Because Opa Yuki never married."

Chris gawking. "Not married? Why?"

"Said mommy, once Opa had fallen in love with a girl who worked as a clay craftsman. They met in Barcelona Spain when Opa Yuki was on a business trip there."

"Then?"

"They were dating in short and Opa was sexually aroused until the girl became pregnant. Hiroshi's great-grandfather was furious that Opa Yuki could go far like that. They quarreled and eventually Opa Yuki chose to go to Barcelona to live there. Opa Hiroshi finally relented and they got married for what happened but two months after marriage, Opa Yuki and Oma Dina had a car accident. Opa Yuki survived but Oma Dina did not survive, dying in a pregnant state of Opa's child. Since then Opa has decided not to remarry due to the loss of his wife and child."

Chris took a long breath. "Astaghfirullah Al Adzim..."

"And since then Opa Yuki has chosen to stay in Finland, away from all of us. Opa gave up all the attributes of Al Jordan and Pratomo and lived alone there. Hiroshi's great-great-great-grandfather and Shanum's great-grandfather Oma had already tried to bring Yuki's opa home but remained unwilling. And we were only able to bring Opa home when he died fifteen years ago."

Chris nodded in understanding. "It's been Opa Yuki's choice like that Alea."

"Mommy said, it was the deepest sorrow of Opa great-grandfather Hiroshi and Oma Shanum who felt that they failed to educate Opa Yuki."

Chris held Alea's hand. "Honey, it's not the fault of Opa Hiroshi or Oma Shanum. They have done their best for their children, have given both formal and informal education but if Opa Yuki is not as expected, it is indeed his life choice. The voice of the mobile phone made the four stop the breakfast event this morning on Saturday. Keia scrunched her forehead while reading the name of the caller.

"Amberley?" Keia looked confused. "Accalaminophen Amber. What's up?" ask Keia.

"Wa'alaikum salam. I'm just telling you, David Anandhita's candidate has a gunshot wound and is now being operated on by Arga." (Read My Boyfriend is Not A Trans Gender).

"Astaghfiullah! How about Dhita?" Keia looked frantically at the three people who were kepo.

"Dhita panicked but knew Arga was taking care of David, she calmed down a bit. I said yes."

"Of course, Amber. Careful. The kid's definitely gonna go after the case."

"Yes!"

Keia decided on Amberley's call and let out a long sigh. "Anandhita's David has a serious gunshot wound and is now being operated on by Arga."

Chris and Alea are now in the backyard of Hamilton's mansion looking out at the morning skyline of New York City.

"How is your cousin's future husband?" chris asked as Alea was busy opening messages on her phone.

"It's out of the operating room and said Mas Arga just waiting for the critical period to pass."

"I felt like when I used to get shot, life and death were a little different when we were in a coma, Alea."

Alea looked at Chris. "But thank God you can come back."

"Because I saw you and Umi crying and hugging each other. In my mind, at least Umi is very receptive to you and I want to see how your relationship will be going so I come back again." Chris took Alea's hand and kissed her back. "You know, when I asked Doctor Bianchi to find a girl who was the same faith, I didn't expect to meet his beautiful and kind sister. Even Umi herself said she didn't want another daughter-in-law besides you" chris chuckled.

"Do you have a boyfriend before?" alela asked in surprise.

"Before meeting you? There are some of my police colleagues who sometimes play at home and there is one police officer who seems interested in me but Umi does not like his aggressive attitude."

"Then where is the policewoman?"

"She has moved to New Jersey, and lives with her boyfriend there. Umi's feeling is very strong. He's changed lovers a couple of times and his girlfriend's the one in New Jersey the longest."

"How do you know?" asked Alea curiously.

"Honey, about the gossip in the police that beat the speed of gossip news in E Entertainment" chris chuckles. "Just calm down, I've made a firm heart for you, Alea. After everything that happened, I love you even more."

Alea smiled sweetly and Chris moved his face to kiss the girl.

"No kissing in here!" ezra Judes exclamation makes both of them moan.
