Alea, Keia and Aminah are now in Joey's study room accompanied by Nura who was helping Joey with the operation.

"Lea, have some hot tea first. You need energy to accompany Chris" persuaded Nura who was crying in his arms. All of his cousins had heard what happened but they chose to come tomorrow morning because if they come tonight to the hospital, it will be full.

"Doctor Nura knows Alea?" asked Aminah while sipping her hot tea.

"Nura's his future wife's sister Alea, Aminah" Keia smiled. "So Alea there's a lot."

"Oh. Who's the candidate doctor?" Aminah looked at the beautiful hijab girl.

"Alaric Al Azzam Blair" replied Nura.

"One of Dubai's Emirs?" Aminah gawking. "Mrs Hamilton's..."

"Please, call me Keia. Didn't I also call you Aminah" Keia smiled.

"Ke... Keia's. Your family..."

"Aminah. No need to think about. Now we focus on Chris getting through his critical period." Keia rubbed the shoulder of a woman of her age.

"Hello?" greet a short-haired beautiful woman carrying a paper bag. "Tante Keia, I brought you some food."

"Thank you Gina. This is Aminah Chris' mother. Aminah, this is Georgina, Joey's wife" Keia and Georgina said, kissing the back of Aminah's hand.

"Finally being able to meet Chris' mother" the Irish woman's smile.

"Well, don't be surprised. Our family in New York a lot" Keia chuckled.

Georgina then sat on the sofa hugging Alea. "Chris is strong. Already, don't cry. Later if Chris realizes see your face like a storm with Hoshi, it's not good."

Alea glanced at the sebal. "Safira is noisier with Hoshi, not me. I've always been loved by Hoshi."

Nura giggled at Alea's Nagging. "Finally she can be angry too, ' said Gina."

"The sign is that Alea is starting to really" chuckled Georgina.

"What did you bring Gina?" keia asked while opening the paper bag.

"I bought it practically. Kimbab and Onigiri."

"Well, we'll eat first. Let there be energy." Keia opened the boxes containing food.

Bryan, Briana and Benjiro Smith family apartments

Ezra stared at Bryan and Benji's IT room monitor screen which was full of a lot of electronic items that he himself did not understand.

"Surely the NYPD can't catch him?" benji asked while typing on his keyboard. The bontot from the fifth generation of the man was hacking at the CCTV club and the street where Chris was chasing the perpetrator.

"Oom sure can be Ben but it's good we get him first, and Oom will beat up for making Alea cry!" ezra said.

Bryan and Benji looked at each other. "It's very typical of our family Ben. Panasan" Bryan's kekeh.

"You don't know what it's like to see your daughter who already seems disheartened because of the vagueness of her relationship with the man she likes plus the news that the man is almost dead. I feel like I got beat up by The Rock in the WWE ring for not being able to protect your daughter." Ezra looked at Bryan. "Do you understand what I mean by Bry?"

"I would have done the same thing if Benji had experienced the same thing."

Joey discussed with Fuji Al Jordan, Nathan Pratomo and Haura Pratomo who flew directly from Boston. Haura Pratomo is the wife of Nathan, Safira Pratomo's mother who is a neurologist.

Previously, Haura was treating Bima when Arimbi's husband was injured by a car bomb in his workshop. (Read Bara and Arum Chapter Bonchap Lost Short Memories ). Fuji and Haura are now faculty members at Harvard, their alma mater.

"According to Oom J, tonight to tomorrow is Chris' critical time" Fuji said.

"Joey feels so too Oom. But I'm not so sure Chris is strong. It was quite the situation when it was brought to me and Nura."

Fuji raised his eyebrows. "Nura's? Alaric's candidate?"

"Yes, he's my protege Oom."

Haura read all the X-rays, MRIs and CT scans and discussed with her husband Nathan, a heart doctor.

"His heart ripped Aunt due to injury ricochet bullet entered."

"Did he wear kevlar?" ask Nathan.

"Wear thin."

"Not so good but mending rather than nothing" Nathan murmured.

"How's Alea?" ask Fuji.

"Worsest. And now Oom Ezra is going to Benji's house" Joey replied.

"Don't tell me..." Fuji and Nathan stare at Joey's horror.

The Italian man just grinned. "Oh yeah."

The next morning the Pratomo clan's extended family in New York took turns to look at Chris who was still in ICU care.

Joey and Haura seemed to be watching the man very intensely. Alea himself does not want to go home if he does not know if Chris can get through his critical period, as well as Aminah.

Faranisa who came to visit with Patrick, her future husband, brought a change of clothes for Alea and Aminah. Joey let both of them use the bathroom in his practice room.

"Ezra where, Joey?" ask Levi.

"To Oom Bryan's house from last night hasn't come back to Oom."

Levi looked towards Kaia and Rhett who came to visit. "Do you think what I'm thinking?"

Kaia just smiled smirk. "Let Ezra go forward. I know he's actually starting to like Chris but his sense of prestige as a father makes him Denial. But with this incident, we know, right?"

"This is why it's at the get-together here? Did lebaran move here?" ask Eiji who came with Ayame and Aruna.

"Opa, don't make a fuss" Joey chuckled while hugging Eiji.

"Who would dare harm that good boy?" eiji asked as he hugged his nephew and grandson. "Don't know what to hit Eiji?"

"Oom, remember the gout" whispered Kaia.

"Don't you say it out loud, fall this Marwah!" pendelik Eiji to his niece while Kaia giggles.

Aminah who saw how familiar Alea's extended family felt moved to see them very worried about Chris' condition.

Keia hugged Aminah's shoulder. "Don't worry, Aminah. We are all arguably the Sultan but we do not look at caste and work during halal. And Chris has been accepted into our family so who dares to harm, we'll look for."

Aminah looked at Keia. "Keia, is it true that Chris has been accepted into your family?"

Keia smiled. "Who doesn't like Chris. We all love Chris because he's a good boy and makes my daughter happy. Even all his cousins Alea received your son Aminah. So do not feel insecure because we do not look at possessions. I know you must be uncomfortable knowing that Chris is related to our daughter."

Aminah nodded.

"Don't worry Aminah. We're not a family like other rich families."

Alea who already looked refreshed looked to hug her incoming cousins. Everyone comforted Alea and Aminah by offering prayers and encouragement.

Soon, Joey and Haura come out of the ICU.

"How's Joey?" ask Eiji.

Joey and Haura looked at each other. Their faces looked illegible and Alea felt her heart break to see the faces of her brother and aunt.
