Ch. 130 ~ Conference Without Table

The Sancteral Holy Kingdom had been engulfed by chaos. The city was devastated and many people have been made homeless or even their families.

After saying and getting up while walking straight through Rusava, Ren steadied his footsteps to move to the palace grounds where the conference would be held.

A part of the courtyard of the Palace was already occupied by some empty seats along with some people standing around it. Nirlayn, Rakuza, Avrogan, Indacrus, Raytsa, Arystina and China. They were all prepared and waiting for Ren to arrive.

When Ren arrives there with Rusava, everyone starts to turn around and pay their respects which Ren feels is unnecessary. But Ren decided to respect their wishes by not commenting.

All seats are formed in a circular fashion by excluding Avrogan and Indacrus and there are seven seats in total. Not to forget, between some seats provided a very loose distance for Avrogan and Indacrus occupied it.

If anyone asks where the table is located then with confidence and surely Ren will reply to the person's question that the conference this time does not use a table.

Indoor conferences and using tables are all too common. Therefore Ren decided to use a new atmosphere even though it might not be completely new.

After a small smile for a moment at this strange idea, Ren immediately sat down on one of the available chairs. However, everyone was still standing and it made Ren massage his forehead.

"Geez, you sit down."

It was only after getting the orders, one by one of them filled the existing place.

"Give me the list."

Yesterday when this conference was planned, Ren asked one of them to make a list of the discussions that will be discussed in the conference.

It just so happened that Ren had subordinates who could be trusted to handle this kind of task. Raytsa, his experience as a researcher would definitely be useful.

Raytsa handed him a piece of poor quality paper from his grasp. The paper was in a rolled state so Ren had to unroll it before he could see the contents of the given paper.

After opening and reading, Ren got five things listed there for all of them to discuss.

Third, they will discuss the planned establishment of the state and when the residents of the Shade of Spirits will be moved here.

Fourth, they will discuss the results of research on various things that have been found.

Fifth, they will discuss plans to help Kanza in the Kingdom of Efidoxia.

Ren then crossed his arms and legs while closing his eyes and then spoke, "Let's start first by listening to my story."

Ren told me everything from the time he was going to the Sancteral Holy Kingdom to when he was fighting Draisma in a different dimension. The explanation is made short but detailed as possible so that the important points can be understood.

No one interrupts, they just listen while keeping a good eye on the question after question that comes up when hearing the story.

When Ren finished speaking, someone raised their arms to ask. He was none other than Rusava who was to the left of Ren's seat.

"Your Majesty, I've wanted to ask you this since we first met. Why do you always pretend to be weak so that the enemy can act arbitrarily to you, Your Majesty?"

"Again" said Raytsa. "I'm curious why you should do that when it's time-consuming. Is there a reason behind it?"

Ren had wanted to choke because he heard the question the two of them were slightly off the discussion. However, he decided to answer their curiosity well.

"There really is no particular reason. I liked enough the times when others humbled me, not because I liked suffering but that it made me recall a time when I was weak and could do nothing."
