The Crown Of The Nine Continents

The Crown Of The Nine Continents
Chapter 173: Students Unite

A group of 30 knights, 20 magicians, and 15 academy students were assigned to handle the northward direction of the camp where the highest grade monsters appeared.

The monsters are the King Scorpion Corrosive, Lightning Blade Snake, and Twin Head Wyvern. They were the highest grade monsters in this forest, and were the strongest among the other monsters.

As a parable, a Corrosive Scorpion King could pose a great threat to the city of Aulzania, while what they were facing this time was five Corrosive Scorpion Kings, eight Lightning Blade Snake, all of them, and ten Twin Head Wyverns.

A group of monsters that they could not possibly defeat despite exerting all the abilities of one kingdom. However, even though there was no chance of winning, why did they still try to fight back? This is because of their strong trust.

They have come to believe in full confidence in Anryzel's words saying that they are capable, and if the worst possible outcome arises, they also believe that Anryzel will come to the rescue. Therefore, all the members of group A selected based on the best abilities of the knights, magicians, and academy disciples had made a neat and sturdy defensive line.

The knights spread out in the shadows of the forest, monitoring the situation and movements of the incoming monsters. Meanwhile, the magicians were busy chanting a wide variety of magic, ranging from protection magic to the forefront, barrier magic from attacks, and some trap magic that might come in handy in battle.

Then the academy disciples help the knights and magicians in various ways, those with observation abilities would naturally be together with the knights, while the rest were not, it protects witches who focus on their magic.

Time continued to run until finally, a single Corrosive King Scorpion had arrived at their place. The Corrosive King Scorpion who possessed a gigantic body walked continuously between the trees, and destroyed anything that was stepped on by it.

The Corrosive Scorpion King was not very sensitive, for that he was unaware of the existence of the knights, and the magic traps that the witches had set up. As soon as the King Scorpion Corrosive arrived at a point, a massive magic trap created by several active magicians thus made the ground around the King Scorpion Corrosive move and bind it.

The King Scorpion Corrosive squirmed, trying to untie the ground bonds that tightly reined a number of his legs. His body then released a strong acid that was able to melt even iron, but it did not seem to have any effect on the earth magic prepared by the magician.

As soon as the Corrosive Scorpion King started to run out of sense to break away and intended to use all of his strength to break free, the knights appeared with weapons in their hands.

"Everyone, attack at his weak points!" command of the squad leader.

Fifteen men were deployed to subvert the King Scorpion Corrosive. They then split up to target the weak points of the King Scorpion Corrosive with the number of five people for each weak point. The King Scorpion Corrosive has three weak points located at the base of the lower tail, abdomen, and eyes.

This is as Anryzel explained when the knights were in his teaching days. Anryzel explained in detail that the King Scorpion Corrosive has a very high resistance to physical and magic attacks, but has a very vulnerable weakness between the three points.

Anryzel also gave them advice, if fighting the Corrosive Scorpion King would be nice to use a ground trap, then some people are tasked to attack his weak point. As for the attack recommended to finish off the King Scorpion Corrosive is a strong and elegant attack.

To that end, five people each will alternately attack with an elementary attack at predetermined weak points. This is done in order to save time and effort to face other monsters.

"Now!!!" shouted the leader of the troops.

They began to attack the King Scorpion Corrosive's weak point. The first wave of attacks was carried out by the sword users. They slashed the sword reinforced by elemental magic at the weak point of the King Scorpion Corrosive.

The consecutive attacks that were carried out together and attacking his weak point made the Corrosive Scorpion King tremble in pain. He then revolted by slamming the unattached tail.

The knights immediately withdrew first, and the witches instantly amplified the resulting trap effect. After a while, the King Scorpion Corrosive again weakened, and a second wave of attacks were launched in succession and together as well.

Seeing the signs of the Corrosive Scorpion King who was about to die, the leader of the army ordered the witches to perform the final attack, namely the magic attack.

The magic attack was unleashed so that one Corrosive King Scorpion was killed instantly. Although the Corrosive Scorpion King was successfully defeated without any meaningful resistance, it actually required a lot of effort to subvert just one.

Where the witches had a limit, and it had already drained a lot just to restrain the movements of the Corrosive Scorpion King. As for the knights, they did have a lot of manpower left, but without the help of magicians then a situation like this would never happen.

Therefore, they only hoped to put up the best resistance possible even if exterminating all those high-level monsters was impossible.

One Corrosive King Scorpion tail was a warm-up and opening as the real battle would arrive before them. The four Corrosive King Scorpions moved together, followed by eight Lightning Blade Snake, and ten Twin Head Wyverns.

The three strongest types of monsters that usually fought over each other's territory, now even worked together to attack their camp. Perhaps no one realized that all this was caused by their teacher and mentor, Anryzel himself.

When group A began to hesitate with the battle that was about to be fought, and distrust began to appear within each of them, that was when reinforcements came from the other group that had completed its task.

In the relief group there was also a Nivania. The arrival of these reinforcements certainly adds back to group A confidence so that they feel confident that victory is in their hands.

Instead of giving up, they were determined to win this battle. Not only as a point of proving the ability and development, but also for the welfare of the kingdom. Because with the reduced number of powerful monsters in this forest, it increases the possibility of Aulzania kingdom's progress in managing its territory.

Meanwhile on the other side, Anryzel stared at all of his students who were preparing to face the monsters. Anryzel was in a self-concealment mode so that his existence was not realized, be it by the monsters or the disciples.

"What do you think, how likely are they to win?"

The former True Devil who was still residing in Anryzel asked suddenly. Whether because of being interested, or feeling worried, Ahn asked in an emotional tone of voice.

"Honestly, maybe only fifty percent."

Anryzel answered him casually. The possibility of winning by fifty percent is no different from betting. Nothing is certain, losing or winning it all depends on luck.

"What if they are defeated? Will you help?"

Anryzel furrowed his brows when he heard Ahn's question. What Anryzel was feeling right now was complete trust in his student. Whatever happens, however, Anryzel hopes the students can win without his help.

However, if the worst situation really happens, then there is no choice but to help them. At least, there should be no casualties because it would break his promise.

"Of course," Anryzel replied briefly.
