The Civilian: Resurgence
Chapter 4

The civilians who attacked, have now started to decrease in number. Some died, some decided to run. Many of those killed received resistance from Ando's forces. The record of the most sadistic killer has moved to Ando. After all, the one who holds the highest death rate is Tony.

Ando became very sadistic. He even took one of the teenagers hostage to be used as collateral, if the civilians did not attack again. He also interrogated the teenager for information on the whereabouts of the remaining Wikar forces. But, the teenager who did not know anything about it, could only cry and pee in his pants. Ando even had the teenager battered.

"One more time! Where are those soldiers?! Huh uh?!"

Ando tried hard to get information from the teenager. Although the results were nil, but he still forced the teenager to speak.

"I really don't know anything. I'm just following along." Said the teenager.

"What did you say?! A follow-up?! You think it's that easy to kill my friends?! Huh uh?! You have to take responsibility for everything!" Answer Ando.

"Wait!"

Tony tries to prevent Ando from slashing the teenager's body.

"If you kill him. Then we're done. We can put this bomb in his neck. After that, we'll tell him to get some food. We can equip this bomb with GPS. We can also blow it up remotely." Said Tony.

"alright. Put the bomb on his neck. We'll see, is this damn brat still able to survive or not?!" Ando.

Tony then placed the little bomb on the teenager's neck. After that, Tony gave her a bag.

"Remember! Bring as much food and drink as possible. If you act, I can't help you anymore. Ando, he is the commander who is most feared. And he's crazier than a rat." Tony told the teenager.

With the rest of his strength, the teenager ran into a house. When he reached the second floor of the house, he pointed a gun at an old man. And forcefully barged into the grandfather's kitchen. Take all the food and drink they have.

He was very panicked, because Tony threatened, if the teenager can't finish everything in five minutes, then the bomb will explode. It can kill anyone who is nearby.

This made the teenager even more afraid, and worried. Because the house he stole was the home of his own father's best friend. The father of the teenager was killed by Ando during the attack hours ago.

He doesn't want anyone else to die. Although this teenager participated in the rebellion, but this teenager had good intentions. He wants peace and tranquility in this country. The thing that no one else knew was, he read a lot of books about the history of this nation.

He longs for this country to be a safe country without war, without corruption, without traitors. He has lost a lot of family members. Starting from his mother at the time this war broke out. His own father died trying to save him.

After getting food and drinks from several houses. The teenager returns to the building, to meet Ando.

"Look! I've got it. Is this enough for us?" Said the teenager.

"We? Do you think I'll give you this food?!" Answer Ando.

Tony increasingly disliked Ando's behavior that instantly turned very cruel. Ando never wanted to hurt civilians. Because he was also a victim of this war, just like that teenager. But now, Ando had turned into a despicable human being. But how else, Tony is not a person who likes to betray his promises. He will follow Ando's orders. Like a retainer who obeys the orders of his King.

"Commander! If you kill him, we won't get any more food. He is still useful to us. He also has to eat with us. As long as the bomb sticks to his neck, he can't wince." Tony said in a whisper.

"alright. You can take part. I'll share it fairly." Ando.

"Thank you." Said the teenager.

They all ate together. Ryan and a few others remained on guard. Because they all have to take care of each other. This place is still not safe enough for them to live in. The teenager felt uneasy because Ando continued to pay attention to him. But Tony, sitting next to the teenager, tried to calm him down.

"Don't worry. He was angry because he had lost a lot of friends. He had been following this war for years. No wonder he's acting crazy today." Tony told the teenager.

"Then what about you?" Ask the teenager.

"I've been following him for years. Sometimes, he's annoying. But he's a very nice guy. It was rare for any troops to stay together like this. Most of them will die with their leader. And left abandoned in this place, until they reunite with the ground." Answer Tony.

"But I saw, Commander Wikar and his men buried the bodies of the dead soldiers properly. He even prayed for them."

"Oh yeah? What else do you see?" Tony asked out of curiosity.

"They also distributed food and drinks, each time receiving logistical assistance. The weapons I have are not bought, but given." Said the teenager.

"What's Wikar like?" Ask Tony by pretending he doesn't know.

"He's a good man. Like yourself. And he's a good guy to hang out with anyone. For this reason, there are many who are loyal to him. He is concerned with the small people. People are much more important than themselves. I admire him too. But I never wanted this war to happen." Said the teenager.

The young man continued his story,

"I always read history books. I want peace in this country. But I realized that I didn't have any power to make things go back to the way they were. I'm just a drop of water, on a barren land. I wish I could help. In fact, I need that help."

Tony who heard all the teenage words could only be pensive, and recalled his past.

Before this war, Tony was a bad boy. He likes to riot. He's even a dissident child. He still remembered what it was like to see those he loved lay their lives before himself.

He regretted his dark teenage years. This place used to be so beautiful. He was once a person who was. Have a lot of money. Many friends. And feared everywhere.

But now things have changed. Money is just a story. Power and glory are only memories that will not be repeated. His head bowed, his eyes closed. It had never been in his mind that this powerful nation would be destroyed.

All his happiness is in this place. He also did not like this war. But it's all happened. The most important thing for him right now is to keep trying to survive.
