You Have To Let Me Let You Go?

Mikel decides to meet Ellie. He was so unsettled after hearing reports of his woman being attacked and near-miss. It was all his indiscretions, because their togetherness caused the bastard man to target Elie, the woman who was not concerned in their matters.

Mikel has now landed back in London. Last night, he rushes back on a private jet, while Sid and his men track down Mateo's whereabouts. According to reports, Elie was in Veronica's apartment, so the man is now in the courtyard of the woman's apartment.

Both of his eyes were twitching, reading the situation. Arthur must've sent a bunch of men to look after Elie. Therefore Mikel needs to do disguise by using mouth coverings. With firm steps and a towering body, Mikel walked up to the lobby. He realized that a pair of eyes were watching him, so he pretended to press the elevator button to a different floor to outwit the man. And by the time the figure had already passed from there, Mikel hurriedly exited the elevator and darted into the other elevator. Luckily the elevator was open so he immediately darted in and pressed the Veronica apartment unit button. It didn't take long, Mikel was already on the floor of Veronica's unit. He quickened his steps to reach the door. His finger repeatedly knocked on the door with impatience. He could push the bell, but he ignored it.

Veronica of course did not open the door, because she had been given a warning first by Darren. Mikel became riled up, after waiting for a long time, the door did not open. Then he decided to contact Elie, he opened the application of his creation, the application connected to Elie's phone. Within seconds, she could dial Elie's phone number.

"Hallo, who is this?" Someone answered Mikel's call, the soft and melodious voice as if it was ringing in Mikel's ear.

"I'm in front of your friend's apartment. Open the door before I get caught by Ar's men."

Elie was surprised, he who was in the living room turned his head towards the door. Since then he and Veronica heard the knocking of the door but both agreed not to open the door for anyone. But when she found out who was knocking on the door, Elie hurriedly ran to open the door. Sure enough, Mikel's towering figure filled his vision.

"Come in." Elie then opened the door wide, so Mikel immediately darted inside.

Mikel and Elie's gaze met for a second, before they finally broke eye contact when they realized Veronica was between them.

"You talk, I'll go to my room." Understanding the situation, Veronica chose to step aside from there. Give space to the two lovers to talk to each other.

The tail of Elie's eyes gave a brief glance towards Veronica who had just vanished swallowed the room door. Until then his attention was returned to the figure of the man he loved.

Mikel stepped forward, eroding the distance between them, and then pulled Elie into his arms. "I'm sorry I failed to protect you."

Elie nodded slowly. He really doesn't dispute that. For him to see Mikel fine for a few days disappeared was enough to relieve his lungs that felt tight.

"You okay?" elie asked looking up without letting go of their embrace.

"Hmm, I'm fine, Sweetheart. You don't have to worry about me. What I'm worried about is you. Last night you must have been so scared." Mikel cupped both of Elie's cheeks pale white without make up.

Elie nodded in confirming. He was not good at dealing with attacks if he was in a car, so he drove his car at high speed to escape. Unfortunately, the car did not give up and hit the back of the car. Luckily he was able to avoid the danger of barely hitting the roadblock, coinciding with Arthur and Darren arriving on time.

"I can't face an attack if I'm driving. My focus will be split, so I'd rather avoid."

"I know, don't go on. What matters is that you're okay right now." Mikel also examined Elie's body, there were no injuries on the body part that was reached by both eyes.

Elie nodded again, breaking their arms when her attention was caught on the pendant necklace around Mikel's neck. His eyes squinted sharply, he could tell if the pendant belonged to a woman.

"Why are you wearing this?" elie asked as she stared at the hanging pendant.

"It belongs to Mommy. I found this pendant in Grandpa Mateo's Mansion."

"Grandfather Mateo?" Elie felt foreign to the name.

"Her...." Mikel then began to tell why he disappeared for a few days just to give news to Elie. He just doesn't want Elie's whereabouts to be tracked down by Todd. So as much as possible do not contact Elie, but he did not suspect if Todd actually attacked him through Elie.

Elie shut her mouth in disbelief. His gaze began to fade, as it nurtured the condensing tears. He was deeply moved to hear that Uncle Matthew and Aunt Aprille might still be alive.

"I'm stupid. I'm useless. I failed to protect my sister, I couldn't find both of my parents and even you were almost doomed because of me!" Mikel's body trembled, her eyes reddened holding back the tears that stemmed her emotions as well as fear.

Elie's heart melted, for the first time she saw a fragile Mikel like this. Only to Elie, Mikel can spill all the burdens and pain that he has been feeling.

"I can't stop asking myself...." Mikel paused his words, enduring the tightness in the chest. "Why do I hate myself so much?!" his screams were full of emotion. Both of his eyes condensed disappointment on himself. "And now I know the answer. Ar's right, I only think about myself, thinking about my revenge immediately avenged without thinking about you who can be wretched at any time. Without thinking of Mei who also needed my presence back then!" Mikel really regretted all that, he who used to not try to always be on Meisha's side. Every day just work to achieve success and find the whereabouts of Todd to avenge him.

Mikel's memory suddenly rotated about Arthur's words a few days ago before he left for Amsterdam. Arthur came to himself in the company. Then say, "If you really love my sister, then protect her well. But if you can only risk his life, then go as far as possible. You can solve all your problems, then come back with a shoulder that no longer holds a grudge. Don't involve Elie."

For a moment Arthur's words were able to make him silenced. He could not dodge or defend himself, because all this time he was thinking too much about his feelings to be with his woman. Without thinking if their togetherness can harm Elie. He should have come to Elie by the time he killed Todd. And now he's thinking about how Elie and Meisha's fate would be if he were killed. For among them there must be an end to death, between him or Todd. He could not stop here, his sacrifice and efforts would be in vain if he released Todd. Even he and the people around him will be killed by past grudges.

Mikel then closed his eyes briefly. He remembered one last sentence before Arthur left the room.

I'm glad you're alive.

"Yeah...." Mikel breathed in the air. Maybe all this time Arthur realized who he really was and the man wanted him to settle his grudge first so as not to involve many innocent people, not least Elie.

Mikel wiped the wet corners of her eyes. He looked at Elie who was silent listening to her grievance.

"I'm sorry Sweetheart. I have to go again and I don't know when to return." To be honest it's hard for Mikel to say that. But he had to do it for the safety of his woman. Moreover, he must find the existence of Mateo and will always ignore the woman. "Date with another man, but don't exceed the limit."

Elie was silent for a while and Mikel could see the change in Elie's face accompanied by teary eyes. The woman certainly objected to Mikel's words being so light when she said them.

"Trust me, I will kill any man who tries to get close to or touch you!" mikel said with great emphasis.

For whatever reason Elie wanted to beat up Mikel, the man had just told her to date another man, but the man would also kill whoever the man approached him.

"You have to let me let you go....? (You let me let you go?" elie said softly, throwing his gaze in the other direction, distracting him so that the tears that were ready to spill were not just seeping and trying to review the smile, showing that he would be fine.

Mikel nodded, he took a deep breath. Before then approaching Elie came back and anchored a brief kiss on the forehead of the woman he loved. Mikel's large palm rubbed Elie's face. "Take care of yourself, Sweetheart." And with a heavy heart, Mikel stepped away from there leaving Elie without turning his head. If he turned his head, it would be even harder to leave Elie.

After Mikel's death, Elie was only able to sob. He could understand the state of Mikel who had no other choice. Veronica was only able to hide behind the door of her room. He was sad and shed his tears.
