Latina thought Dean would be stubborn as she called, asking the man to take Rael home.
The father of her son was obedient, and Latina felt it was because of the deal. Or maybe Dean had indeed changed for the better because as Latina remembered, this young man very much did not want his own taken away.
"Thank you for dropping off." Latina smiled as she grabbed Rael to her side.
Dean forced a smile to rise on his lips, but in his heart, he grumbled at the attitude of his former woman. Since Latina had already said so, she was forbidden to enter the house.
"I'll go home then." Even so, Dean still wished that he could talk again with Latina.
"See you later, Uncle Dean." Rael waved his hand.
"This week Uncle's gonna pick you up."
"Rael must rest, thanks for taking care of him." Latina ended this meeting, and Dean, who was no longer considered to be in existence, decided to leave.
Latina's patience paid off. Although unable to work as a bank clerk anymore, he was accepted as a financial magazine journalist.
According to Latina, this is the same. His job later was to write an article about finance. What's wrong with trying? Latina this taste is a challenge.
"Why does Mom keep smiling?" Rael reprimands.
"Mom got some good news. From tomorrow, Mom will be working in the new office." Latina cheered so happily.
"Wow! Mommy's great." Rael kisses the mother's cheek as a congratulation.
"Dear Rachel, do you like Uncle Dean?"
"Yes, Rael likes it. Last afternoon Uncle Dean took Rael to the park. We're eating ice cream too." Rael quickly closed his mouth because he had lied. The promise is to eat only sweet foods on Weekend days.
"Mom will tell him for today."
"Promise! Rael won't repeat it."
Latina doesn't know how to say it. He wanted to explain something to the child. A confession that he has not been able to express. "Darling, Mom and Uncle Dean, used to be a couple."
Rael's eyes blinked. He looks confused. Latina had expected that her son would not understand this situation.
Surrender already. Rael wouldn't understand if it wasn't said directly. Latina let out a long breath, then exhaled slowly.
As he looked at Rael, he said, "Uncle Dean is Daddy Rael."
"Daddy?" Rael opened her mouth. "Mom and Uncle Dean are dating? Like Uncle Harry and Aunt Manda? He's gonna be Daddy Rael?"
Latina shakes. "First, Mom and Uncle Dean were dating. Then, we have you. Mom gets mad at him, then goes by taking you."
"So, Rael has Daddy and that's Uncle Dean?"
"Yes, Honey. Uncle Dean is your father."
Rael jumped up in excitement. "Rael has Daddy!"
How innocent Rael is. Whether he understood this or not, but the boy was happy to have a father.
"Why doesn't Dad live here?"
Latina had expected that this was not as easy as it seemed. "Darling, Mom and Dad had a fight. We decided to split up."
"Why isn't it better?"
"We became friends. Someday, you'll know everything." Latina looked at the working clock located on the sleeping lamp table. "It's time to go to bed."
"Don't you call Daddy first?"
"Make what?" ask Latina.
"We say good night. Come, Mom. Rael's friends say they got good-bye from mom and dad."
"It's late, honey. Mom thinks your Daddy's resting."
Rael looked disappointed. Seeing that, Latina was devastated. He grabbed the phone at the table, dialed Dean's number. Not long after, the call was answered. However, what was heard was not Dean's voice, but a woman.
