For the past five years, Latina has not heard from her best friend. Getting angry? Because he knows that Sasa is a prospective Berlin brother-in-law who is Dean's former fiancee.
"May I sit down?"
Latina nodded. "Please."
The atmosphere became awkward. Latina understood if Sasa was angry because of the failure of the engagement between Dean and Berlin.
"Where have you been all this time?" Sasa turned his head to the side to be able to look at Latina.
"I've been in Palma all this time and I've only been home a few days."
"Why didn't you tell me? Actually, what's going on?" Sasa turned his eyes to the highway. He leaned back while breathing slowly.
"I didn't know at first that Dean was Berlin's lover and was getting married. I'm sorry. Really am! I have absolutely no intention of making the engagement void."
"I'm just curious. Why did you suddenly leave?"
Latina looked at him fixedly. "This matter must have an impact on your relationship."
"I'm married and remain Berlin's sister-in-law."
Latina smile. "I'm glad to hear that."
"I wonder, why Dean? Yeah, it's none of my business. But, what's wrong with you? I didn't want to believe it. You, Jason, and Dean."
"It's life, Sasa." Latina laughed a little. "I'm not that lucky."
Sasa fell silent. He understood that Latina did not want to talk. Not everything should be known, and it should not be forced.
"But I'm glad you're back." Although Sasa was a little disappointed because Latina did not tell the problem she was experiencing as a whole. Sasa only knows that his best friend is Dean's mistress from the Berlin story.
Latina smile. He got up from his seat. "There's still so much I have to take care of."
Sasa understood. "Alright, I have to go home too." Sasa got up from his seat. "But, Latina. I hope our relationship is the same as it used to be."
After that, Sasa walked first, while Latina just looked at him. The further Sasa went, then he stepped away.
Since when was that woman there? No wonder because the distance of Rael's school and Fiona's teaching place is only separated by a large road. But, why? Dean must have told Rael that he was his son to the lover. Ah, Latina is upset.
"Mom!" Rael ran over and immediately hugged Latina.
"Fiona." The woman smiled. "Love Dean."
Latina nodded. "Yes, I know. What's up?"
Fiona smile. "Without purposely I saw Rael playing in front of the school garden and I approached her. Anyway the bell home has sounded."
"I don't think I'm late. Look, there's still a lot of kids who haven't been picked up."
"Sorry, you might think a no-no. I didn't mean that. Your son is so cute and he's adorable. It's also break time, my lover will come to pick me up."
Can the word 'lover' not be mentioned? Latina was sick of hearing that. Without explaining at length he also knew the meaning of Fiona.
"He is also the son of ...."
"I know what you mean." Latina cut Fiona's sentence. "Don't call it in front of Rael."
"I'm sorry. That's not what I meant. I ... I just want to be close to Rael."
Latina had guessed. "We have to go home. Excuse um. Come on, Rael."
Rael waved to Fiona. "When we meet again, Auntie."
Latina grabbed Rael in a sling, walking away while stopping the passing taxi. He quickly entered with Rael into the transport car.
"Rael, you didn't forget Mommy's message, did you?"
"Not close to strangers?"
"Then, why did Rael look so familiar with that Aunt?"
"Said Mom, I can't be so careless either. Rael didn't take the candy that Auntie gave me."
Should Latina do this? He didn't mean to make Rael a bad person. But there is fear. He did not want his own taken.
