The 10 Legendary Swords

The 10 Legendary Swords
The City of Turi

In his room Arav sat down as he sipped a cup of tea before him before hearing a soft voice from the front.

"Are you Mr Arav?"

"Well, it's me" Arav smiled as he welcomed the arrival of a young man in his 27s who was a former city official he had rescued.

"This master is ..." Masket intends to introduce.

"Ah, my name is Reidy, thanks to the help of Mr. Arav we managed to free from the place. Please allow me to return the favor ..."

Reidy is the toughest opponent of Mayor Anselm, although he has disappeared for some time, but his existence is still considered a threat to his rivals, especially the mayor of Anselm.

"Maskets ..." Arav glanced at Masket.

"I have done what you commanded ..." Masket bowed respectfully before Arav.

"Then we won't have to wait any longer. You'd better get ready to attend the banquet tomorrow ..."

"Ah, it seems that you have prepared a surprise for them," Reidy smiled as she could, however she never expected the boy before her to dare to act so far, "Speaking about the damage you have done. No, in my opinion it doesn't seem like you're from this region."

Arav's eyes moved swiftly glancing at the Thorny Tameng members as it found them intending to withdraw the weapons, making Masket order her subordinates to remain calm.

"Oh, watch out ..." Reidy laughed but the atmosphere in the room was still tense.

"If it's true, would you consider me a threat for infiltrating this area?" Arav smiled without caring what Reidy thought.

Actually Reidy could have considered Arav as an enemy, not now but in the future, "No. At first I thought you'd take advantage of my position to take over this city after it got rid of me if it was no longer useful, but after seeing ..." Reidy smiled warmly turning Arav's eyes to the side, "If you think about it again it's not good to make people who are able to have subordinates like them as my enemies."

Arav coughed, finding the cheeks of every girl around him turning red, "Ah, you're too complimentary ..."

***

In the morning a magnificent room with benches occupied by dozens of people had filled the residence of the mayor of Anselm.

"Mayor? Can you explain the chaos that has been going on lately? Reports of the city's main gate having been infiltrated by the enemy, dozens of suspicious people roaming outside the city, and, in fact I heard rumors from the citizens that you have been carrying out slavery in this region which is actually strictly forbidden by the royal family!"

The military leader of the Vion noble family, I suddenly asked a variety of questions to make dozens of others feel disturbed.

"Ah, that ..." a man with a sweaty beard heard the words earlier.

The mayor of Anselm had actually realized there was a problem in his territory lately ever since he sent his troops to capture Arav.

He smiled bitterly when he had to wait long enough for the news of the success of the mission which in fact failed miserably, the result was that he even brought great disaster to his life as it is today.

Major Vion clenched his hand, as long as he took office no one had ever managed to destroy a single defense in his territory, accepting it if done by an enemy or a formidable fighter, but another story if a boy who became the actor.

"Regarding the man ..." The mayor of Anselm smiled faintly, he thought a golden opportunity had come to him today, "I think that brat was also the one who spread this false rumor."

"What do you mean?" Major Vion frowned, certainly not directly believing.

The curve in the corner of Anselm mayor's lips grew even bigger, "Lately he has been making a lot of mess in my territory, even killing the soldiers I sent to overcome the problem of attacking wild animals into the homes of the people!"

"Ahh, so he's the one who killed dozens of those soldiers."

"I didn't think he could do it."

"Enough ..." As the conversation spirals out of control as the originals conclude, Major Vion hits the table, "Mayor Anselm, the, are you joking with me or is there some kind of disturbance in your brain that just accuses the boy without proof! After all he was young how could he possibly be able to slaughter dozens of the best soldiers of this city!"

"Have you forgotten who destroyed the gate and killed some of the city guards?"

"That's ..." Major Vion had trouble getting the sentence out as a defense for Arav, it was true that he received the information directly from his spies but the matter of this massacre Major Vion felt that something was wrong, "Still he's a kid ..."

"Major, if you still don't trust me then just ask this Adventurer ..." The mayor of Anselm nodded softly to let a man in, "I have proof that he is the culprit behind this riot. Berg, tell everyone about what you've been through before."

Berg trembled when he had to deal with an influential person let alone a woman no more than 27 years old in front of him was one of the top leaders of the Vion region troops, Major General Taryein. Major Taryein himself frowned and smiled flatly looking at him.

"I-i ..."

"Tell me everything you know, or I'll uncover the crimes you've committed before for cooperating with me," The mayor of Anselm whispered softly beside Berg's ear so that the man's countenance grew pale.

Major Taryein let out a long sigh in response, "Mayor, I don't have time for this joke of yours because ..."

"The mayor is right! He is the culprit behind all this! I almost got killed!" Various statements made by Berg certainly surprised Major Taryein.

"Wait a minute, what do you want to say is he wants to kill you?"

"Major, hearing this explanation we already have witnesses to the case. Why didn't you immediately issue an arrest warrant for the boy?" This is what the mayor of Anselm is waiting for, turning things around for profit.

Major Taryein has been cornered and the difficulty in confronting the old man before him while arguing must inevitably accept the advice immediately despite not convincing Berg's testimony.

But what happened next was beyond their expectations when the door suddenly opened, a beautiful man appeared with a smile typical but deadly to the people around him.

"I object, I think in this matter there is a little mistake. Regarding the perpetrators of the massacre committed in self-defense, or the destruction of the city gates with the intention of exposing the man's crimes, everything is misunderstood."
