The 10 Legendary Swords

The 10 Legendary Swords
Adventurers From Vinterm

When Arav entered the village he found the rubble of buildings scattered on the streets, the surroundings were also filled with a lot of damage to the surrounding buildings.

"Seeing the condition of this village I think something terrible has happened but I still can't confirm it ..." Inner Arav then traced the place further.

Maskets could sense several pairs of eyes watching their arrival but he remained silent without acting knowing the people were villagers.

"You guys, aren't we supposed to enter this place? Perhaps what the guards said had a point as well ... Arav, let's just go back to the city, "Aiyla is not comfortable with the atmosphere of the place anymore, it seemed difficult for him to adapt immediately but he finally decided to make the trip shorter.

Arav let out a long sigh, knowing that Aiyla would stop talking so much if she intervened immediately, "If you are still noisy and disturb my concentration then I will leave you alone in this village!"

"You ... Is it so heartless to leave a beautiful girl like me alone without an escort?" Aiyla once again showed her appearance is known not to lose to Maskets or other members of the rose.

This time Arav only smiled cynically towards Aiyla, he did not care much for this girl but since the Vinterm trade was now within his control made him have to undo the intention.

"The head of this village probably knows something, I don't think it's wrong to ask him!"

"Sir, let me follow you!" Masket volunteered, after seeing the conditions around her it was not good to let Arav go alone.

"I ... I'll be in this place waiting for you," Aiyla felt that her existence was not needed, in fact this girl was deliberately not involved in the problem but that's not what Arav thought.

"You should come and always be in my sights, we don't know what's really going on in this village so don't make trouble!"

Arav will be bothered if one day Aiyla disappears or worse is kidnapped by a group of robbers, so Aiyla must be willing to obey her orders.

Some time after touring the village, the Thorny Tameng group had already spread out in a short time making it easy to find the residence in question was a house owned by a middle-aged man.

"Young man? Who are you?"

"I am an adventurer from Vinterm. Can you explain what happened in your village?"

The Village Chief held his breath for less than a few seconds before observing the surroundings, the old man then allowed Arav to enter his residence to be more free in the conversation.

"This village has been attacked many times by a herd of monsters, we've fought our best to repel them, originally there were only wolves and some harmless monsters but ..."

Arav seemed to have heard of these monsters from somewhere but he could not remember clearly.

The village head explained that the village where they lived had sent several application letters to the regional authorities with the intention of asking to immediately overcome this problem. This request was then immediately accepted, not long ago there were two groups of adventurers from the guild coming to help gradually.

"One of the Adventurers' groups has been out of sight since yesterday, and other help is coming but I can't expect more from them" Sweat pours from the middle-aged man before him, "Young people ... Seeing that you have the ability to at least exceed those adventurers, representing the entire village I beg you to help us!"

Arav frowned, not his business in meddling with Vion's government obviously because this would cause problems later. He then glanced at Masket to hear the girl's opinion.

"I will only follow the entire order of the master, this matter I am also unable to decide by myself," Masket smiled widely.

"I ... We better not interfere. What's in it for us? If only grandpa would pay for it maybe we'd consider it ..."

The look on the village chief's face turned to panic, it felt like Arav wanted to pinch Aiyla's cheek because he thought it was inappropriate to take advantage of this matter.

But he also felt Aiyla had a point about the gift. In addition to being guaranteed to keep their existence a secret, with all of this at least some parties do consider Arav to be an adventurer.

"Well, a hundred gold coins shall I give ... As long as you tough adventurers are willing to complete this mission!"

Aiyla grinned widely then raised her two fingers, "Two hundred or we will leave this village soon!"

"Young people ... This ..." The village chief looked at Arav doubtfully.

Arav shrugged his shoulders, "I don't mind, for sure this money is not for us to use personally, but rather for you to give it to the villagers who are affected by this problem especially for those who need it."

The village chief initially thought Arav was nothing more than a robber starting to change his mind now, in addition to finding Arav's good side he feels this young man is a savior who was deliberately sent from the sky to come help his village.

"Hm ... Wait up! I still mind about this, where's my part? We wouldn't have gotten two hundred gold coins if it wasn't for me" Aiyla spoke softly so that only Arav and Masket could hear him.

Arav scratched his head, "You'll get your share once we get to the capital, after all if you want to leave this village soon you should at least help us defeat that herd of monters."

As Aiyla nodded as fast as she could, Aiyla was excited and wished that she would take part in the mission.

A few minutes later, Arav left the village chief's residence and headed to a place where the monster was supposed to be hiding.

The village chief also hoped that Arav's assistance would be fruitful so as to provide them with enough supplies

"Masket, what about the preparation?"

"Sir, the whole squad is ready to fight." Maskets look to have been wearing armor as well as all the other Thorny Tameng members.

"What about the adventurers from the capital? Have you found any valuable information about them from the villagers?"

"The ability of this group of adventurers is to excel in close combat, their class I know of the villagers is in the class of expert piercer and deliverer."

Expert Piercer is a nickname or level of ability when someone in the stabbing class is equivalent to 5 fighters with the same ability. Similarly, classes at similar levels such as cutters and healer classes will get similar nicknames if they meet the requirements, including at the middle and high levels though.

"So you mean we can't count on them? And choosing to take care of everything just relied on the ability of Thorny Tameng?"

"At least that's what I think ..."
