Delaying Proposal

Play your phone while thinking. Melati never came to a boy's friend's house except to be picked up, like Arka. The reason for 'embarrassment' makes Melati reluctant to come to her boyfriend's house alone, different if it was on request and picked up Arka.

"What's Mel doing?" tanya Adi saw her nephew daydreaming a little.

"That's Mas, uh! Uncle!" Jasmine until wrongly called.

Adi chuckles at hearing it.

"Mas Iyan is sick." replied Melati then timidly.

"Oh, what pain does Mel have?" ask Adi seriously.

"In the wind he said, but ask Melati to his house, same Uncle also" said Melati slowly.

"Well, we're going to Iyan's house later, lunch hour." Adi agrees.

"Are you ashamed of Uncle?" Melati looked doubtful.

"'The same as me!"

Melati nodded, although a little hesitant but she still had to go to her lover's house, both of them began to busy working, but, especially Melati who today wrote a motorbike expenditure Note of 15 units simultaneously will be issued later in the afternoon, until 11:30.

"We're leaving Mel?" Adi closed the laptop and grabbed his waist bag.

"Yes." Yeah." Melati cleared her desk.

While at Iyan's house, the man was sitting on a mattress on the floor watching TV, occasionally looking at his cell phone screen there were no messages or calls, of course the news from Melati that he was waiting for.

"Assalamualaikum." Adi's voice called out making Iyan smile happily. 'Definitely Adi is not alone.' he murmured in his heart.

"Wa'alaikum salutations." His mother nodded from behind.

"Mom, Iyan is there?" tanya Adi grabbed the hand of mother.

"There." mom glanced at the advancing Melati also wanted to grab mom's hand.

"Mom, I'm sorry we came to disturb" she said gently with a soft kiss on the back of her hand.

"Oh, absolutely not. I'm glad you came." Mom smiled kindly, the eyes that had slackened were sparkling looking at the pretty face of the future daughter-in-law. "Let's go in."

The two entered following his mother Iyan, appearing in the middle room Iyan tilted his head waiting for Adi and Melati to enter.

"Sit Nak!" Iyan's mother allowed in the middle room Jati chair, but Adi also chose to sit down close to Iyan.

"Here alone, ma'am, will it be for the sick." Adi teases her best friend, inviting laughter from everyone including Iyan.

"Actually Iyan wasn't sick, only last night she had a nightmare of continuing to vomit. Mom's worried! so today just rest." said Mother while carrying a few jars of snacks.

"Vomit how Mom?" jasmine asked could not bear to not ask.

"She had a nightmare, kept waking up she was nauseous and vomiting blood" said Mother glanced a little at Iyan who looked all wrong.

Melati was very surprised, so did Adi make the two look at each other.

Adi turned to Iyan with a worried face.

"I'm fine." replied Iyan getting a look from both of them.

"Have you taken your medication?" Melati spoke to mom again.

"Already, the doctor said there was no pain" replied the mother again.

Melati and Adi looked at each other again, they were both thinking about something.

"Mom drink first." Mom moves on.

"Don't bother Ma'am, Melati can't take long." Melati grabs mom's arm.

"Ah just tea." Mother still goes to the kitchen to make room for the young to talk.

"Mell." Iyan called out to Melati who was still staring at her mother's back.

"Yes!" Melati looked at Iyan.

"You really vomited blood?" Melati approached with a worried face.

Iyan nodded, slightly smiling looking at Melati's pretty face. "But it's healed because you've come." she replied slightly glancing at Adi.

"Mas, I'm serious!" Melati did not return her lover's smile.

"That's weird Yan. Should you seek consultation in pesantren only." Adi advises.

"I'm cured." replied Iyan sure.

"I'm worried about Mas." said Melati again.

"Oh, no need to worry. We're gonna get married." Iyan even teased Melati by raising her eyebrows.

Melati can only take a breath, she can't do anything if Iyan has teased.

"Mel you follow Mom to the kitchen, say don't bother, we have to get back to work." Adi sent his nephew into the kitchen.

Melati nodded in understanding.

"You don't suspect anything?" adi asked after Melati to the kitchen.

"Yes." replied Iyan with his face that was always relaxed.

"It's better that your marriage is in Yan's retreat" Adi suggested.

"Dear to be disappointed if I step back, I don't want him to think weird about me." Iyan looked at the kitchen door.

"But it's risking your health, a little of your life's fault." Adi made Iyan think.

"Then how? Honestly, I don't want to lose Melati." Iyan.

"You think about it carefully, while your parents leave next Sunday. I'll speak directly to Mbak yu Nur." Adi gives a solution.

Although Adi wants Iyan to marry Melati, sacrificing Iyan is also wrong. Of course he wanted his nephew to live a happy life, not a troubled marriage.

While in another house, Arka was reading a message from someone. It was reported that Melati and Adi came to Iyan's house this afternoon. The corner of Iyan's lips was attracted by the eyes staring at the pusar of her phone.

"I think the water will react soon. Iyan left Melati, and Melati will come back to me."

...****...

A few days later.

"Don't you say that we're getting married as soon as possible, so why are your parents back next week?" tanya Melati did not receive the news conveyed Iyan.

"There's only a need for a little Mel, just One Week, that's not long." Iyan grabbed Melati's hand and convinced her.

"Come on, I think you have another reason." Melati.

"Mell." Iyan pulled Melati's hand closer.

"Tell me if you're sorry you chose me." Melati stared in annoyance, her tears just escaping before Iyan.

"Mel, Honey." Iyan felt more guilty, to be honest he did not want everything in retreat but the family both agreed to delay a little time. "Don't cry." Iyan wiped Melati's tears.

"I'm not a good girl for you Mas." said Melati with a sad sob.

"No, you misunderstood, dear." Iyan held both of Melati's hands.

"Dear to understand." Melati releases Iyan's hand and leaves out.

Dealers who happen to be quiet make both more and more daydreaming. Moreover, Melati just stayed on her desk without looking Iyan. Until the afternoon the two were still like hostile children.

"Install the car?" Iyan approached Melati who had already grabbed her bag.

"No, Melati can go home alone." Melati did not look at him at all.

Iyan took a tired breath, he was confused to explain what to Melati, this misunderstanding made Iyan's head spin dizzy once.
