7: Owlbear

Roaaarr~

A four-meter-tall Owlbear stood before Tian Jie. His large body cast a dark shadow which added to the aura of intimidation he released. He swung his claws trying to scare Tian Jie.

Owlbear has a physical like a grizli bear, brown fur with black claws. The difference is that he has the same head as the head of an owl with a large beak containing sharp teeth. The upper body feather is a bird feather. There are feathers that form the wings from the back to the front legs, but unfortunately the wings can not be used to fly. The tail is not too long but there is a feather fan like a bird tail.

Tian Jie looked from top to bottom observing every detail of the owlbear.he was like a kid who was curious about something new.

“dia is bigger than I imagined, The owlbear figure I made back then still seems to be less pas”

“The feather of the bird on its body is also more than I imagined, a good reference”

Seeing that the unprovoked Tian Jie was making Owlbear growl, he moved quickly trying to claw Tian Jie.

Tian Jie did not try to dodge and prepare the defense.he was curious how powerful the real owolbear was.

*author note: from now on I will write the level of the cantrip with (0) and spell with (spell level) so that the reader is not confused.

A visible shield formed in front of Tian Jie trying to withstand the attack of the owlbear. But Owlbear's attack power is very strong. Tian Jie's shield was pushed backwards carrying him thrown several meters away until it hit a tree.

Seeing the light from Tian Jie's attack, the owlbear tried to protect himself by making his hand a shield.

The thunder-like thump sounded as Tian Jie's attack hit the left front leg of the owlbear. Then an electric shock flowed throughout his body giving a tingling effect.

ROOOAARR~

The cries of the owlbear rang out loudly as he took a few steps back before stumbling and falling over.

The two arcane strike attacks that Tian Jie had launched had a severe impact injury. The left back and front legs of the owlbear were charred with blood coming out.

A crack appeared on Tian Jie's blade, slowly enlarging and at his end the blade broke into pieces. He was a little surprised but started to analyze the incident.

“It looks like using level one spell for arcane strike is overburdening this kitchen knife”

“I need an actual weapon and strong enough to use arcane strike many times - kali”

Tian Jie then took out a new blade and used his infusion arcane ability.

“My kitchen knife is only four left at this time”

“I have to be careful when using it before getting a better weapon replacement”

As Tian Jie analyzed his condition, the owlbear rose again and the look on his face was furious. The condition of the owlbear wound is very severe, one front leg looks numb and hanging can not be moved. His balance was also tilted to the left and could not stand up straight.

Owlbear is a very possessive creature of his realm. He wouldn't let another alpha creature into his area. He will definitely seek and fight to stake his territory with the creature. Right now Tian Jie was considered a rival of the alpha beast that was plaguing his area and he would not give up.

Tian Jie put the knife in his mouth and then bit his blade and started clenching both hands.

“We finish it MANUALLY”

Tian Jie advanced in a boxer-like hand position and jumped up quickly. He slapped his right hand towards the head of the owlbear.

The owlbear replied and smashed his right hand into Tian Jie's head.

“Magic Shield (0)”

The blow hit the shield, but Tian Jie still felt the momentum from the blow. He took two steps back and shook his head.

“good movement”

He went back forward trying to punch the head of the owlbear again.

The owlbear's body arrived - it suddenly spun and its tail was released towards Tian Jie's body.

Tian Jie who had not had time to use the magic shield was hit by a crushing attack and was thrown back five meters. The knife was bitten off and a bit of blood came out of his mouth.

“Your attack is still very strong even though it hurt like that”

“But this game looks like I should end”

Tian Jie stood up and took his knife. He held it with his left hand.

“Wrap step (0)”

Tian Jie moved quickly and arrived - arriving to be in front of the owlbear surprised him. Then he hit the head of the eye area of the owlbear hard.

Affected by a shock attack made owlbear off guard.His left eye bruised and difficult to open.

Tian Jie then retreated quickly.he circled towards the back of the owlbear.

He advanced rapidly and this time his punch was aimed at the rear head of the owlbear.

Owlbear lost his balance and fell forward. He tried to hold his body still standing with his front legs remaining. Then turned to look for Tian Jie's position.

Tian Jie retreated back and circled the olwbear with the aim of confusing him.

Owlbear turned his left-rightness trying to follow Tian Jie's movements.

At one point where the owlbear would turn his head towards Tian Jie.

“Wrap step (0)”

Tian Jie darted quickly before the face of the owlbear and struck his right eye.

The owlbear could only accept such a swift attack. Both of his eyes were closed and his body was still being held back to stand with all three of his legs remaining.

Tian Jie kicked the remaining owlbear leg making him tumble forward.

The owlbear was no longer able to stand. His body expanded and deflated trying to take his already heavy breath. He's really fallen now.

“It was a good fighting experience owlbear”

Tian Jie said that while crouched down and drew closer to the head of the owlbear.

“I thank you for this opportunity”

“Now I will end your fight”

Tian Jie stuck his knife into the owlbear's head to provide a quick finish.After the owlbear's body stopped moving Tian Jie opened the owlbear's chest to retrieve his spiritual stone.

Every living thing in the world has the opportunity to cultivate even animals and plants. If he grew up in an environment rich in animal and plant spiritual energy he could cultivate to a high level gaining awareness of himself then he could change into a human form.

Spiritual stone is a crystal stone formed from the concentration of spiritual energy. This stone can be found mined on the path of the dense spiritual energy of nature, commonly called Spiritual Veins or spiritual veins. This stone also appeared at the time when the beings who had cultivation died. The dantian of a dead cultivator would solidify and create a spiritual stone. The higher the level of a dead cultivator the higher the quality of the stones created.
