Chapter 22. The Past of the Li Family
Chapter 22
30 Years ago ....
Jimmy Li is on holiday with his family. He's holding the youngest, Damian. Meanwhile, his right hand held Arthur. Behind the wife, Rebecca held the hand of the eldest, Leon. They're all on vacation to the Water Park playground. Jimmy's busy life as a businessman did not make him rarely with the family. Every Sunday he had time for his family.
"Dad, I want to swim!" shouted Arthur.
"Me too" Damian continued.
"Yes, now we're going to go swimming" said Jimmy and kissed his son's head one by one.
"Horay!" Arthur who was being held by Jimmy jumped up and down so excited.
Leon looks pouted for not going swimming. He wants to go on holiday to the zoo.
Rebecca as a mother, would like to see all her children have fun on her day off. He whispered something to Leon and made the 9-year-old boy happy.
Jimmy and his family swim in the pool to look after his kids. Meanwhile, Rebecca photographed and filmed their activities. Laughter, jokes, and cheerful cries are shown by the child and her husband. Seeing that, of course, he was happy.
"Dad, I want to ride the slide" Arthur pointed.
"Wait a minute, I'll leave you with mom. Because Damian was a kid, he couldn't ride that slide" Jimmy said.
The adult man moved while carrying Damian towards the wife who was receiving a phone call. He did not call Rebecca for fear of interrupting the conversation with the person across there.
"May's get well soon, dear. I love you," Rebecca said with the person she was calling.
Jimmy was shocked when he heard the wife talk just now. His brain immediately thought no. Yeah, he figured Rebecca was cheating on him.
"Who are you talking to?" asked Jimmy with a face expression holding in anger.
Rebecca's body suddenly stiffened. She was shocked by her husband's presence there. He deliberately stayed away when he received a call from someone.
"Oh, I just talked to Julia. He said he was sick and his mother did not accompany him. You know for yourself that Maria is always busy and less concerned about her child" Rebecca said with a lowered head.
The woman made her sister and niece as the shield of her lie. She is also not so close to Julia after being caught stealing some design ideas of hers.
"What a pity Julia. Why don't you ask one of the servants at home to take care of her and look after her?" ask Jimmy.
"Do you want something to happen to Julia and Maria sues our family?" Rebecca asked back.
Just now Jimmy was about to open his mouth heard the sound of the screams of some people followed by the sound of people falling. Jimmy immediately turned his attention towards the source of the voice. Arthur was standing on a high enough slide. The people below were shouting and noisily.
"Hold Demian, I'll see the kids!" jimmy's orders to his wife.
As powerful as the man ran towards the swimming pool of teenagers or adults whose depth is more than two meters. Jimmy didn't expect that his two children would go to the pool, not the one next to him.
Arthur is seen being carried by a guard officer who is standing guard at the swimming pool. How panicked he was when he saw a lot of blood coming out of Arthur's head.
"He's my son, please call an ambulance immediately!" jimmy shouted while clutching Arthur's unconscious body.

The injury to Arthur was very serious. His head was hit and also suffered a fairly long tear. It turned out that this made the 6-year-old run out of blood and had to get a blood transfusion immediately. The doctor will also stitch the wound.
"Your son's blood type is O negative. Who has the same blood type?" ask the doctor about Arthur and Rebecca.
Hearing the doctor's words just now made Arthur surprised. She knew all her children had blood type A just like her.
"Wait, Doc. My son's blood type A, why be O negative?" ask Jimmy in surprise.
"No, Mister. Your son's blood type is O negative and it just so happens that the blood stock is not in this hospital" the doctor replied.
Jimmy felt shaken after hearing the doctor's words. His son may have a different blood type.
"Sir, this must be dealt with immediately otherwise your son will not be helped" the doctor said and made Jimmy's consciousness again.
He recalled that there were two workers who had this rare blood type in his house. They were the butlers and one of the bodyguards who always looked after his family.
"Call Patrick and Ruben over here! They have blood type O negative" Rebecca said with tears in her eyes.
The two men were called and only Patrick was eligible to do a blood donation. Ruben could not donate his blood because he was ill.
After Arthur's condition improves, Jimmy performs DNA tests on all of his children in secret. She suspected that Rebecca had been cheating behind her back.

A few days later, the results of the DNA test came out. How shocked Jimmy was to know that only Leon had tested positive as his flesh and blood, while Arthur and Damian were negative. How wonderful he is when he knows this.
"Say who planted the seed in your stomach?" jimmy asked Rebecca when he got home.
Rebecca knew that the two children were not from Jimmy's seed when they were born. He asked someone to change the test results when their baby was born with a different blood type to make the woman believe that her child was the result of an affair.
"Tell me honestly or I'll kill those two kids!" snapped Jimmy.
"Ruben," Rebecca replied softly.
Reuben was fired and Rebecca became under house arrest for the rest of her life. Jimmy, who is already dear to Arthur and Damian, takes care of them.

Arthur's body feels weak after hearing Jimmy's story. However, for him it was better for him to be banished by Jimmy right then and there than to be Leon's shadow. He hated his father and he hated his brother.
"Thank you for taking care of me. Thank you also for all the wounds you have inflicted on my life" said Arthur, who now stands near Jimmy.
"Goodbye dad" continued Arthur and then covered Jimmy's face with a pillow until the graphics on the monitor screen turned into a line.
"It's a mission I have to do" said Arthur with tears.
