Chapter 24
First Trial
I shut the door tightly and locked it after Jihan returned to her room. My energy is filled enough to face today.
Today is my first divorce hearing in the title. From morning my heart was pounding erratically waiting for this moment since yesterday. Facing the divorce process only accompanied by Mr. Sandi as my lawyer, does not make me daunted to face Mas Heru and his family.
There is a mother-in-law and sister Mas Heru and her boyfriend who accompanied Mas Heru. But there was no Vienna among them. I'm sure Mas Heru tried to cover up his mistake by deliberately not presenting Vienna there.
This first trial is the mediation stage. In divorce cases, such as divorce and divorce, the judge is obliged to atone for both parties to the litigant at each time of the trial (Article 56, paragraphs 2, 65, 82, etc, 83 Law No 7 Year 1989. And then if both parties present the trial continued with the mediation of PERMA No 1 Year 2008. Both parties are free to choose the mediator Judge available at the Religious Court of Peliihari without charge. If peace occurs, then the case is revoked by the Plaintiff/Applicant and the case has been completed. That is the content of the explanation of the hearing conveyed by the judge.
We were confronted in a separate room from the courtroom.
"So how's Dad, Mom? Are you sure you're going to separate?"
"I personally don't want to be apart at any time." Said Mas Heru seriously.
I was upset in my heart. Even in this room, Mas Heru still muck with his wishes.
"Then what about Mom?"Ask the judge.
"I don't love him anymore. And feel unable to live the household with her anymore."
Such are the words taught by Mr. Sandi to say in front of the judge. Because the terms and conditions of marriage is one of them is of your own desire and not in the coercion of any party. In this point it is clear if one does not love anymore then the household nosedive in the marriage to be lived is forced and the absence of sincerity.
"Is there anything that makes Mom's decision that way?" Ask the judge again.
"Some, my husband got married without my consent. For further clarity, I have submitted to my lawyer, sir."
"Well then. In this case I just want to convey something that might open the heart and mind of the Father, Mother about marriage.
Islam does not prohibit or even allow a wife to sue a husband like a husband in the behavior of the wife, as well as in the laws or regulations of the government, do not prohibit at all as long as with a strong purpose and purpose and reason. But it should be understood that all actions and actions are not as easy as thought, especially marriage which is considered something sacred by Islam. The breaking of the marriage bond means breaking also the bonds that have been woven during marriage, and this is one of the reasons why God hates the lawful act (divorce).
The same is true of polygamy, may marry more than 1 wife with applicable terms and conditions and never be polygamous that does not follow the terms and conditions that apply and is not tried in a religious court.
A person who wants to be polygamous must also sign a statement to be fair to the first wife and so the second wife on stamp duty. So in this affidavit one must share not only his possessions but also his affection and love, later from there the judge can see if this father can be fair to the first wife and second wife. "
That's how the judge explained at length to us.
"I'm doing polygamy is sunna sir." Mas Heru tried to defend himself.
"Indeed polygamy is sunna, but there are many other sunahs that we can do that are much easier than polygamy. After all polygamy is not necessarily halal, because it can be haram if done not follow the sharia. Well here, are you polygamous with permission from the first wife?"
The Judge's words must have touched Mas Heru's heart until he was only able to answer with a headband.
"Then to Mother herself, is there any sincerity to accept this polygamy?"
"No." Reply firmly.
"alright. Today, I consider mediation a failure. And we'll meet again next Tuesday for the next mediation. I still hope, Father Mother found a better way than divorce. Then, mediation today I end."
I've gone through one stage. I have to be patient again waiting for the next stage.
"For the next mediation, Ibu Indah does not need to be present and can leave this matter to us." Bisik Pak Sandi, who already understands handling cases like this.
As soon as the magistrate left the room, I set my feet to leave the room.
"Beautiful! Wait Beautiful!"
My breath was tight to hear Mas Heru's voice calling out to me. These eyeballs turn around because of it.
"Wait Beautiful!" Said Mas Heru directly catching my arm.
"Let Go! What the hell are you doing?" I said sniffling by forcibly pulling my hand out of Mas Heru's grasp.
"I'm seriously beautiful, let's talk about it! We don't have to end this marriage. We can still fix it. What do you want? House in your name, right? All right, I can follow. But let Vienna stay with us."
"Basic crazy!" Then I continued my steps.
It's good that Mas Heru said so without thinking about my feelings. It was clear in front of the judge I said I didn't love him anymore. How can I go back to a household that has been destroyed by its own mistakes.
"Beautiful, stop Beautiful! Give me a year. After Vienna gives birth, I'll divorce her."
I gasped at Mas Heru's words.
"Look, how can I trust you again. Just yesterday you were so praising and defending Vienna, even Vienna is the mother of your child, but you easily planned to divorce her. Totally selfish! Is your conscience really dead?!" I took out all my heart.
So bad Mas Heru, take and throw as he pleases. Enough of me the woman he hurt, enough of me to feel persecuted, but he didn't have to do that to the mother of his future son. Even if I don't like that woman, but still I can't see a woman being hurt like that.
"But isn't this what you want Beautiful?!"
"No! My wishes and hopes were dead when you cheated on me and remarried. Even if you try to repair, but the broken glass will not be able to return intact without a crack."
"What's the Beautiful Mom?"
Suddenly there was Mr. Sandi who was close between us even Mother and sister Mas Heru.
"Here's Heru! If he wants a divorce, just let him." Said Mother-in-law glancing at me cynically.
"No Ma'am. Until whenever I will not turn beautiful. I love her Mom."
Indeed, the words of Mas Heru so pierced my heart. When the fate of our marriage was on the edge, he said that he loved me in front of his mother. Why Mas Heru must say the word love at the end of our story journey, while the path I have chosen cannot change again.
I ran away from them, even without saying goodbye to Mr. Sandi. Mas Heru who was still trying to chase me was detained by his mother.
Tears that did not want to flow now fell without being asked. The feeling of tightness so squeezed in this chest. I could not help but cry without caring for others to look at me. I keep moving my feet without knowing where I am going.
What this feeling is, I really don't understand. Is this the love left in the heart for Mas Heru? A flash of our sweet memories flashed through my head like a spinning film roll. How the love and affection that Mas Heru gave me so cradled my heart. But the instant the memories went to change wounds while remembering Mas Heru's betrayal.
True, this is only the sadness of having to separate without ever passing when receiving Mas Heru's proposal first.
Lord, help me to strengthen this heart. Help me take Mas Heru away.
Seriate...
