Rain Bias: The Memory of You

Rain Bias: The Memory of You
PORAK (Inter-Class Sports Week) (3)

The roar of hunting breaths and endless footsteps rang out along the corridor.

Thalia and I tried to run as fast as possible to get to the third floor of Yiva class. Between conscious and unconscious, all I thought about was one, to Yiva's class and take the medicine.

At the end of the corridor Thalia pulled my hand to turn towards the elevator. "Ra.. hah.. ride the elevator more flat, huh... I'm already engulfed."

We stopped in front of the elevator door, Thalia already pressed the ride button while I still did not really understand and just followed Thalia.

Looks like I'm going crazy.

"Ra. breath, calm down... Yiva is fine,"

"Tha," I began to stabilize my hunting breath. We both rarely exercised, but Thalia was calmer so she didn't look so exhausted.

The elevator door finally opened. We immediately entered and Thalia pressed the third floor button. After that the door closed again.

"With papa, Ra. We need to calm down so we can take the medicine to Yiva as soon as possible" Thalia said, holding my hand tightly.

I'm nodding. But my mind went nowhere. Right now I'm really just following instinct without thinking straight.

Yiva's class is near the elevator, Yiva's bench is in the row up and close to the teacher's desk. “Excuse me!” thalia shouted releasing her voice without controlling the tone so that it sounded discordant.

The door was opened so that it crashed causing noise. Some eyes looked at our cynics, but the perpetrator did not notice at all.

“Aaan anyway?”

“Oh, they're friends Miss Yiva.”

“What is Miss Kumat's disease again? Not that he plays volleyball anymore?”

“Kanya like that, our class is in the final because.”

“Pantes is going crazy.”

I could hear the whispers from the two people sitting in the corner of the classroom. It's not important for now, I'll take care of them later.

On the other hand my breath and Thalia were also stirred. Two homegrown people like us really suck at running fast for long periods of time.

Vibration began to feel on both of my legs, I could not stand it so sat on one of the chairs there. Thalia was better than me because she could still stand and spill the contents of Yiva's bag on the table.

“Can!” After grasping Yiva's medicine box, Thalia lowered her head towards my fellow Yiva who was still shocked, “please get it sorted out, thank you very much!”

I bit my lip when Thalia pulled my hand. We immediately headed back to the gymnasium past the canteen. Luckily, the road they were walking on was quite quiet.

‘Kaku! Try a little more!’ I shouted in my heart. I tried so hard to run away and closed my eyes.

‘Brukk!’

I felt my body hit something. I don't remember suddenly my body was already on the floor with something holding my head.

“Naura!”

Thalia's surprised cry made me gasp. He stopped running and came back to me. But I remember that Yiva is more important today, “Yiva used to be Tha!”

Of course Thalia would be confused, but she also knew that Yiva's condition would be more dangerous without any medicine on her hands.

“Let me go back again. You, red basketball uniform. I remember your face so don't think anything of my friend!” Thalia immediately ran to the gymnasium.

The stress that was building up in my mind went out of control. The pain in the left side of the body due to hitting the floor began to feel. Then, something holding my head... hand?

“Naura? You want papa?”

That familiar voice…

Before I said the name that came to my mind, a dark look took over my senses.

***

“Lain... be careful...”.

“My friend... doc?”

“Engga..

I tried to get out of bed and felt a sting in my left knee and elbow. Right, I hit someone earlier. Looks like my body was bruised from falling and hitting the floor.

But I don't feel any pain in my head. If it's not wrong, the hand of the person I hit is holding my head so as not to hit the floor.

I let out a breath. I have to apologize and thank him.

The curtains surrounding the mattress shifted slowly and featured the UKS doctors I knew. “Doctor,” murmur me slowly. Then I saw someone else behind him. “Luthfi?”

The man smiled happily to see that I was fine.

I was asked a few questions by the doctor to check on me. I occasionally glanced at Luthfi. Surprisingly the man paid close attention to our every question and answer.

“In addition to bruising on elbows and knees, you are fine. Maybe still surprised?”

I nodded in confirming. It felt like my heart was still pounding as I thought about the incident earlier.

Yiva, who needed medicine as fast as he could, ran as fast as I never did, then hit someone. I can't believe I've been through all this and just got a bruise.

“Then the doctor made tea first let you be calmer,” said the doctor then went to the kitchen which was in a small room in the uks only separated by a closet.

Now it's me and Luthfi.

“Thank God you have papa,” said Luthfi stepped closer while pulling a chair and sitting there. “I'm afraid of you why when you faint.”

I could see his face completely relaxed. Apparently he was really worried about me. I hit him.

“Sorry, I'm really careless because I close my eyes when running.” I lowered my head, truly feeling sorry for what I had done.

Panic took over my mind so I couldn't think clearly. I should have calmed down more. Instead of helping to solve the problem, I created a new problem.

“I thank you, I also forgive you because you already know what your fault is. It's okay, the most important thing is you know you're wrong and next time don't do that again.”

“Still a lot, Luthfi.” I finally raised my head.

At first glance we meet. I hurriedly averted my eyes as those black eyes looked shady at me.

My heart was beating again. Am I panicking again?

I took a breath to calm myself down.

Elastic bandages wrapped around my elbows and knees. I can't bend them both. I'm the one who just hit got a bruise let alone Luthfi.

Realizing that, my eyes suddenly stared at Luthfi's state. “You... lgga papa?” I was surprised to see the appearance of the man. Let alone bruise, even the basketball uniform does not look dirty in the slightest.

Luthfi nodded, “Iya, don't worry. I used to practice taekwondo, so falling like earlier was nothing.”

“Once,” I unconsciously pursed lips.

Its irish. I also want to have an anti-wound body like that. Although that doesn't mean I want to keep falling. But, having a fit body like Luthfi is not bad either.

“Naura, you why?” Lutfi was worried because I suddenly fell silent.

“I envy your body.”

Hearing this, Lutfi rounded his eyes, moving away with both hands covering his body as much as possible. “Body... me?”

“Yes, your body. Though I nabraknya hard but you do not why.”

“Ya?” Lutfi looked surprised, then he laughed softly.

“Huh?” I was silent thinking the sentence I said sounded strange, “Eh, it does not mean I want you to do anything, really!”

Luthfi closed her lips tightly holding back a laugh, I cannot predict what the man is thinking just from his expression. Ah, I'll just continue.

“I mean.. Try my body as strong as you, you might bruise here and there because of jatoh.” I muttered while showing the bandage in my hand.

“Makanya if invited to sport tuh want, basic mannequin.”

I was surprised that it wasn't Luthfi who replied to me. But, Naya.

Then my eyes were fixed on the source of the voice. At the entrance of the UKS, there was Thalia and Viona who were trying to pull Yiva to lie on the bed then the scruffy Naya looked at me cynically.
