Rain Bias: The Memory of You

Rain Bias: The Memory of You
PORAK (Inter-Class Sports Week)

A man put his bag on the floor, the backpack leaned against the black desk cupboard.

The hood of his jacket was removed and he hung his jacket on the hood attached to the door leaf. Pulling up his study chair, he turned on the study lamp and started reading books.

The sound woke up his roommate who was sleeping on the top mattress. He, Brian, peeked out from the bed with half-sleepy eyes.

"You're back, Fi? How's it? Just meet him?" he said with a hoarse voice typical of people who just woke up.

"Um, yeah. I saw it" said the man, Luthfi.

He couldn't come on time because the coach took his time to discuss the team's problems. Finally Luthfi ran because he was left behind by the last bus to meet Naura.

He was worried that he could not see it, but his worry disappeared when he saw the girl who was running around with a bright smile. It was true, he could still see Naura.

It's just....

Luthfi's roommate finally realized from his sleepiness, he frowned when he saw Luthfi not turning the page for a few minutes.

"Hey, you got papa?" asked the man, astonished.

Without turning to face Brian, Luthfi answered accordingly. "Um, I'm fine."

"But the book you read is back."

"Ah," Luthfi only regained consciousness and turned his book into the correct position, "intentionally."

"Huh?" luthfi's friend jumped off the bed and pulled the man's collar, "indeed I believe your bullshit, ha?!"

Luthfi resigned when she was forced to stand because her collar was pulled, she turned to the side and did not look at her roommate.

The man clucked annoyed at Luthfi's gloomy appearance, he threw Luthfi's body into the study chair so that the wheeled chair moved towards the door. "Why are you, anyway?"

Luthfi's friend folded his hands in front of his chest, his sharp eyes staring at Luthfi for interrogation. If it's not like this, Luthfi won't tell you anything.

"I'm confused..."

Luthfi's roommate waited patiently for Luthfi's next remark, "I should be happy to see him happy. But I was disappointed because I was not the source of his happiness. He's happy because of someone else."

Luthfi chuckled softly, "It's weird, right? I am nobody to him. I'm upset because I'm disappointed."

"Indeed, who was the other guy? Guys or girls?"

"Male."

"His boyfriend?"

The man who looked down at the floor shook his head in doubt, "I don't know."

"His brother?"

"No," this time Luthfi's voice was more resolute, "i can't be disappointed that Naura is happy because of her family."

"So he prepared? Maybe it's just the theme, right?"

"But it all started with friends."

Brian was getting upset.

"Luthfian S's. Vinson's."

The heavy and firm voice of his friend made Luthfi stunned. He sat up straight and finally looked at his obedient friend.

"Yes, sir."

"Are you a man?"

"Yes, sir."

"If you really like him, don't make assumptions! Approach him! Talk to her! The key to a relationship is communication!"

"But.." seeing Luthfi would be evasive again, Brian immediately cut Luthfi's speech.

"Nothing but a fireplace! Are you serious about being by his side or not?!"

Luthfi nodded steadily, "Yes, sir!"

"Good! First of all," Luthfi's friend took a towel draped to the edge of the mattress and threw it at Luthfi aloud, "Go take a bath! Your sweat is everywhere, disgusting!"

At that time, Luthfi only realized that his clothes were wet with sweat after running around here and there. He hasn't even changed his clothes and still wears his basketball uniform.

"Sorry," Luthfi immediately got up and went to the bathroom.

"Oh yes, next week we have a match practice with the SMA next door."

Luthfi stopped and turned, "Train chess match?"

Brian shook his head, it was true that they were both members of the chess club. It's just that he's also a member of OSIS so this announcement is not for the chess club.

"Train all sports clubs for the Olympic sports later."

"Oh," that means Luthfi also has to tell this to his friends at the basketball club, "Which SMA?"

"SMA on the road Beautiful," said Brian while smiling obliquely. "Thank you to me for the great difficulty of contacting their side for this cooperation."

Hearing that, Luthfi's eyes seemed to sparkle.

Luthfi laughed cheerfully, "Thank you, Brian!"

"You've been very clear about the structure of the application letter, before you end any questions?"

The last hour of study is Kimkha. I was tired but the thought that today was the last day of the week got me a little excited.

The atmosphere of the class was silent, maybe they felt the same way as me. I want to go home and have a weekend off.

"You don't have anything, you give me a job for next week."

My friends started to protest.

"Next week cheer sir!"

"Yes, sir! Keep abis patorak a week off because there's a king's birthday."

"Well, really, sir. Don't worry, hehe."

Then the man in the box glasses smiled at the protest of his student's son. I know that smile, my hair goosebumps looking at her smile.

"Certainly? There's another week, right? That means you have two weeks to do the job," the man shows a slide with the job details to make a cover letter, "later the task is presented one. Five other presentations commenting or asking."

Then the man's smile widened, "The father will choose a random file for the presentation."

Complaining is heard from the class.

"Don't forget to do, maximum h-1 task file has been sent to the father's email." The man closed his laptop and said before going out of class, "excite the porcupine, if you win the ice cream parlor."

Hearing that, the whole class was excited and eager to win the cheer next week. It was as if they had forgotten that they had just been given an assignment by our language teacher and homeroom teacher.

I sighed, "Well, yeah. I'll do nothing anyway" I murmured quietly in the middle of this crowd.

But, strangely my friends ears are more sensitive than usual.

"Who are you going to say?"

I flinched and turned towards the suspicious smiling Virha.

"Hehehehehe," again I was goosebumps looking at Virha and Naya who looked like they were making an evil plan behind me.

My feelings are not good.

"Thalia! Don't expect you to come off this time" Naya shouted at Thalia, who was trying to sneak away. Whether because Naya was nimble or because she owned a taekwondo black belt, the girl had already pulled Thalia's bag and dragged her back into the classroom.

"No! I want to go home, read a novel! Want to read the short story! I want to read manhwa!"

"Even, you mostly read Tha's fiction books. All right there into the world of fiction," grumbled Naya, indignant to hear Thalia's reason.

Me? Can't wart.

My arms have been held together by Virha so they can't go anywhere.

"Let's practice yel-yel!"

These guys really.

Again and again, I could only sigh as my body was taken to the field for yel-yel training.
