Our Denouement

Our Denouement
Stumbling Through Sadness - Chapter 7

In the dimness of the night framed by the full moon, my steps came to a halt at the door of your departure. Like a moonlight playing a pseudo game, your presence turned into a disappearing shadow.

In every breath I breathe, this anxiety deepens the sense of the unspoken, unobtainable by the rapidly passing of time.

In the silence that engulfed my soul, the seeping wound of farewell, pierced as if a sharp knife tore through the chest helplessly.

We are like two fallen leaves that are detached from the twigs, bobbing in the endless wind. Your departure became a convoluted mystery, filling the empty space left in the recesses of my heart.

There are sweet memories painted with the colors of happiness, but also left behind the dust of regret that dances in the mirror of memory.

In the silence of the dark night, the story begins its path to a new chapter. A farewell that paints a deep wound, poking out from every corner of the heart. There are threads of mystery that bind the destiny of two people in the unexpected pull of fate.

Welcome to the pervasive darkness, where mystery and progress unite to embroider a farewell to death, breaking open peerless wounds in the heart.

Who will remain awake in the eye when the last curtain falls? Only the night breeze knows, as we sail towards the farewell dock, bringing all the broken pieces of feeling.

Be prepared to witness the drama of a crumbling dream and withered hopes.

She sings a lonely song for the rain falling, her song filled with pain and despair. His eyes became overwhelmed with tears and his heart broke like raindrops. Kashika sat by the window of her room. Tears fell down heavily from his eyes, blending with the falling rain grains.

In his chest resounded like he was hit with a loud punch, a powerful tremor enveloping his heart deeply. The unexpected news had shaken his world. Yatsuki, his loyal friend, has died of Leukemia.

Kashika felt the whisper of a dream approaching her slowly as she awoke from her sleep filled with endless darkness. The news of Yatsuki's death blew through his heart like a terrible storm that destroyed all sides of his life. A sense of panic, sadness, and despair enveloped his fragile existence.

In a moment of silent night accompanied by raindrops falling, Kashika murmured with a prayer that slid softly from her lips, she pleaded to fate that the haunting news was just a joke, or the wrong news.

Kashika felt the panic that struck her coming over in a row, the sadness that could not be expressed in words, and the crying that spilled uncontrollably. But even so, he realized that he had to ascertain for himself the truth of the death of his best friend.

Kashika immediately took the initiative to ask for information, trying to gather information. He wanted to know more about the illness suffered by his friend. With his remaining efforts, Kashika decides to question the people Yatsuki knows, looking for clues that might lead her to a mysterious truth.

Without hesitation, Kashika even prepares to travel to the hometown of Yatsuki, a place they always dreamed of visiting together. No matter the daily responsibilities and responsibilities.

Kashika is adrift in a wave of uncertainty. He let go of the burden of his routines and tasks, ignoring work permits knowingly.

To him, Yatsuki's presence is more than anything. He will step into the mysterious city without caring anything, bringing hope and anxiety to each other.

Kashika sat on a cold airport bench. His heart was full of worry and confusion. A gentle rain fell with sadness, reflecting the feelings that flooded his mind.

Amidst this unease, he continued to send messages to Yatsuki. Wishing to receive a reply from his dead friend. However, nil. No response, everything remains empty.

Despite the fear and uncertainty of crawling her soul, Kashika finally boards a plane to the town where Yatsuki came from. His heart pounded as the plane took off, Kashika wondered if he was doing the right thing.

Afterwards, Kashika tries to dial an unknown number, from someone claiming to be a doctor and informing Yatsuki of her death. He wanted to ask the details of death as well as the place where Yatsuki breathed her last.

Unfortunately, there is a discrepancy. The number is suddenly inactive, and mysteriously disappears. Kashika was getting curious and anxious. He began to feel something was hidden from him.

'Could there be a certain reason behind Yatsuki's death, and what if it was true? What exactly is the secret hidden by those who have known his best friend?'

In every wind, he felt the figure of his best friend touch him, giving him the comfort and tranquility he lost.

"Yatsuki.. What's the matter?" Kashika muttered resignedly. His confused-sounding voice was cut off as his breath choked withstanding panic attacks and tears.

Kashika gazed out of the plane window, clutching tightly to the edge of the window as she watched buildings and highways shrink beneath her as the plane slowly ascended to altitude. Tears almost filled his eyes as his memories were fleetingly recalling the last conversation with Yatsuki and his promise to visit her immediately.

The ringing sound of her phone made her return to reality and Kashika felt terrified for a moment before realizing that it was just a message notification. Anxiously, he opened it.

Expect a message from a mysterious person telling her about the death of her best friend. However, instead of that number, Kashika finds an unexpected message from Rion, her co-worker in the music band where they are both members.

"Hey Kashika, I hope you're okay. I just want to see how you are doing and if there's any news on the charge. Tell me what's going on, huh? Take care of yourself."

Swallowing disappointment, Kashika mentally kicked herself for almost forgetting the case. Kashika feels a wave of guilt double her as she recalls the case. The tempo of the case collides so much and somehow seems to be related to the news of Yatsuki's death, that he almost forgets. He took a deep breath to regulate himself, then replied to Rion's message.

"I'm sorry it took so long to get back at you. Actually, I'm on a plane right now. And it is still a long time that I will reach my destination. I'll let you know the latest developments when I get back."

Kashika leaned back in her chair and looked out of the window, feeling the pain as the memories of her best friend flashed by and instantly filled her mind. Kashika is determined to find out the truth of the case, no matter what happens, at least as a form of honoring the memories with her best friend.

Kashika allowed her heavy thoughts and worries to drift away with the clouds outside the window. Then Kashika closed her eyes, and let the turbulence of the undulating plane take her to sleep into the beauty of the sleeping flowers.

In the silence of the twilight city bathed in thick fog, Kashika stepped in doubtfully. He looked up at the dark sky flowing over him, as if sending a final message to his best friend, Yatsuki.

However, only a silent answer, as if Yatsuki has now become part of the mystery that is spreading.

As soon as Kashika got off the plane, she stepped slowly on the streets of the town where Yatsuki lived. In the uncertainty clouding her mind, she felt like a lost girl lost in the complexity of her own mind realm.

However, Kashika does not despair and continues to search for information about Yatsuki's last whereabouts, utilizing the clues she once uttered through a conversation on the chat app. In his search, he also tries to find the location of the junior high school where Yatsuki once attended in this city.

Yatsuki once mentioned it in his story, and Kashika felt that the place might be the last key to uncovering the mystery surrounding Yatsuki's life before the news of Yatsuki's passing that she heard yesterday the day after.

With steady steps, Kashika walked straight ahead. With a heart filled with anxiety, Kashika explored unfamiliar streets. Somehow he felt that Yatsuki's presence was still with him, even though it was only a shadow that followed his every step.

Despite being swept away in the darkness of a mysterious fog, Kashika did not give up. With the perseverance and patience he has, he is determined to discover the hidden truth. He believes that behind the mystery surrounding Yatsuki, there are answers waiting to be revealed.

Kashika stepped slowly in the middle of a street that was unfamiliar to her, glued to the mobile screen in her grasp. He was so busy that he did not realize something was driving in front of him. In an instant, Kashika stumbled and fell into the wet and dirty ground. Infuriated, Kashika cursed in annoyance.

"Damn, ugh!"

But unexpectedly, a hand emerged from the shadows and stretched out, offering Kashika help. Kashika's eyes shriveled in surprise when she saw the owner of the hand, and she was shocked like being electrocuted. The man's face looked similar to Kashika's.

A figure that looked familiar at once foreign to him. His unraveling black hair, sharp eyes full of mystery, as well as an irritating rancid smile. Everything reminded Kashika of a figure she was very familiar with.

Kashika looked at the man, her heart slowly filled with emotion again. Is this just a coincidence or is there something deeper? The man who left left him alone. After years of being lost without news, it now appears to coincide with the many events that hit it simultaneously.
