Not the Real World

Not the Real World
Part 5

“I have to wear this shirt all day to?” Adah grumbling.

“Iya.” One of Mrs Iris's aides helped her wear clothes that she had never worn in her entire life.

The maid pulled the crooked rope behind her. Not until 5 minutes to sheathe him, he felt rimas too. I want to face that belief all day.

“Okey, ready.” The maid took off her crooked rope.

“Finally!” Adah gave up her relief.

“Setually we have to wear this dress and make-up.” The maid was the shirt on the bed. He saw the clothes and his face changed. At that time, he realized that the process he was facing was still not finished. Finally, she screamed letting go of her complacent feelings until her voice was heard by the past Mrs Iris and Herna in front of her room.

“Why it?” The ripples of Mrs Iris' worried face.

“Sik Adah never wears a dress. I think she's stressed because there's no other choice but to wear that dress.” After an explanation from Herna, Mrs Iris almost laughed at Adah's reaction while continuing her journey to the dance hall.

“If he knew that shirt belonged to his mother's spirit.”.

They continued their journey while talking about their council that day.

~

The door to the room is knocked. He turned towards the door after Herna's voice was heard, "Sister Is she finished?"

He moved to the door and opened it. She sees the stylish Herna dressed in her black suit making her more visible as a personal helper than the chief assistant. While Herna, take the opportunity to spy wear Adah. Split Mermaid Evening Gown in white, open on the right shoulder raise again the girl series. The appearance of his shoulder managed to make Herna amazed.

“Mata on top, its crew.” Herna turned her gaze then their eyes were outstretched. Adah flashed her cynical smile and Herna's face was pale when her action was caught without a lid.

“C-Cik Adah, s-I don't mean anything. S-I was just amazed.” Stuttering is out of control. He laughed when he saw the reaction of his assistant.

“Okey is very bad?” Ask her softly. Herna was only able to nod, as if a voice was missing to say.

“Sujurnya, I'm not how comfortable. I've never dressed like this.”

Herna could see into the girl's eyes how unsure she was of herself and it made her sympathize. He even tugged at the clothes he was wearing to become more sweaty, or at least pass his back to avoid wrinkles on the stomach.

What Herna saw made her say, “Cik Adah, from the beginning we met, I never saw the abuse in Ms Adah. Even today, Ms. Adah is the most radiant.”

He raised his forehead, feeling amazed. No one has ever said that to him before. So, he's a little embarrassed. His heart was also cold to hear it. Betullah said people, ‘good words will always cheer someone's heart’. Not wrong not to do good? In fact, it's free.

“Available to go?” Herna stretched out her hand. Adah nodded as she reached her right hand, crossed and held tightly like she did not want her maid to disappear.

“People are already inside dewam. I have to tell Ms. Adah, at least Ms. Adah is ready to face the crowd.” He said slowly as he approached the council.

“Who are those people?”

“Friends Mother sister Adah also.” Herna smiled, making sure nothing to worry about. Adah swallowed her saliva and took a deep breath to dissipate her trembling. To his mother, he ventured himself forward.

You can do it, Adah. It's all right to worry about. Think of it like prom night.

Now, they're in front of the board. From the outside, they can hear the council lawyer announce his arrival. The door of the main council of majis he opened. The light from the council illuminated the outside so that it blinded his eyes. He closed his eyes for a moment so that his eyes would become accustomed to the bright light. After his eyes recovered, he could see people clapping their hands, looking and smiling at him. The sound of applause also began to ring.

“Cik Adah?” He looked towards Herna.

“Ayuh?” She nodded and followed where her maid had pulled her. He doesn't know where he's going. He may be friendly but he is just a silent introvert. Seeing everyone looking at him made him feel uneasy. Her aura can be felt by Herna, making her rub Adah's hand.

“They are just excited to see Ms. Adah.” Herna flashed a smile, making sure Adah to feel calm. He was still silent, just nodding his head.

Look ahead. She waited for them with a sweet smile. The smile makes Adah calm, calm enough to ignore the rumors of people around him.

“Is that the guy?"

"They finally met him."

"Why did he come back here?"

Many more words from the creatures around him that make him do not understand why they say so. Only, there was one voice from among them that Adah heard, making her covered by a thousand feelings.

"Smuch the face of his mother."

She turned to the voice and saw a couple looking at her, smiling lovingly. They put their left hand to their right chest then lowered their head slightly in respect to him. Just look on without giving any reaction. However, they kept smiling ignoring Adah's cold reaction. Adah looked back at Mrs Iris who was now right in front of her. Mrs Iris looked at the face of her best friend's son who was filled with confusion.

“You okay, Adah?” Adah.

With a smile, he replied, “I'm okay.”

Mrs Iris smiled at Adah's reply. Without a word, he pulled Adah into his arms. She was surprised, and so was Herna. It was something that Mrs Iris never did. When the embrace was not reciprocated, Mrs Iris tightened her embrace again.

“Happy birthday, Adah Roman.” Finally, the tears flowed by themselves. His two hands slowly touched the back of Miss Iris and hugged her tightly. He buried his face into Iris's chest. Herna turned her gaze to the busy crowd socializing.

“Thank you...” His voice came out slowly, only heard by Mrs Iris.

If only she had embraced this mother. Why did you leave first?

Miss Iris rubbed the back of Adah's body, as if she knew what she was feeling. They remained in position until Adah herself let go of her embrace. Her tears flowing down her cheeks were wiped with her palms. He kept his head bowed, avoiding looking at Mrs Iris. Again, he thanked me. Miss Iris touched the girl's cheeks and raised her head to look. He rubbed the woman's cheek using his thumb lovingly.

“Adah, even though we just met, but you are a child to my best friend. His son is also considered my own son. We are family. Your mother has never once been a stranger in this palace. So your arrival is also welcome.”

Finally she smiled. Somehow, his heart calmed down after hearing the verse from the woman.

“From now on, we discard our respectful calls. Puan and Cik make us too formal.” Adah nodded in agreement with Iris's backup.

“I kind of want you to call me mom but, we sort of haven't been close yet. So, just call me Iris.” He stretched out his hand. At first Adah hesitated to deny it. But, there was a little courage in him to allow the hand to be cut.

“I Adah.” Iris laughed a little.

“Ayuh, many remember meeting you.” Iris pulls Adah in following her to approach the creatures in the hall. Herna followed them.

From group to group, Iris introduced Adah as a best friend. Each of them communicated politely and respectfully. He also responded with the same attitude. Smile and talk like a human being. Throughout his meeting with those who are, Adah thought of something. He often heard about the dangers of the supernatural realm and every creature in it was a savage creature that reported human blood and flesh. Now, he is alone setting foot into the supernatural realm, even associating with his own creatures of various kinds - Wolves, vampires, animals, little people and more - their guardians do not spill like ordinary humans. As if there was no threat to worry about.

Herna who heard his thoughts, whispered into his ear while Mrs Iris continued the conversation with the guests, “Same hair is black, other hearts.”

He looked to his right shoulder. Herna just brought herself closer to Adah's ears without looking at her.

“Human heart cannot be dived, Ms. Adah. Look, look can. Believe not. Here, as well as in the human realm.”

Herna's allusions were full of warnings. He replied to her words in silence. What he said was true and he made him think. However, that fact did not change his already well-prepared stance. 'Every good will be rewarded', that is the principle taught from childhood.

An interview session that day made him tired from the usual. As an introvert, interaction with other creatures constantly makes him run out of energy faster. He did not know how many people he had met at the time. He began to feel a lazy feeling to talk and then let Mrs Iris continue her conversation with other guests.

I didn't think I should hang out with everyone.

He looked around, trying to get rid of the boredom he felt. Without him intentionally, his eyes stopped on the couple he had met for a while. This time, he tried to research the couple. They are not too old or old. But, looking at the way people around him who once looked down respectfully at them gave a sign that they were among the important people.

In his direction, the couple moved far away in the corner of the hall room, as if they did not want to interfere in today's ceremony. Unprepared, their eyes were outstretched as they flashed a sweet smile at Adah. But Adah still did not return that smile. Instead, he took his eyes off the couple and gently patted Mrs Iris' hand.

“Ye?” Iris looked at Adah.

“Can I merayau? I'd like to grab a drink once if I can.”

Mrs Iris paused for a moment before replying, “Bby. Herna will escort you.”

Herna deserved to turn to look at Iris. While Adah nodded rapidly without any objection. He asked the guest with him and pulled his servant's hand away from them. But, not far from the group earlier, they stopped. He turned to face Herna.

“What is playing in mind, sister Adah?” He could not escape the suspicious feeling.

“Why don't you just read my mind? Can you read the minds of creatures?” The word 'creature' which was once awkward is called is now a habit on the tongue.

“I don't read other people's minds. No fancy.”

“Wow, words from someone who colonized enter the minds of others ten minutes ago.”

“I-it. I accidentally wanted to hear.”

“Tsk.” Adah feels stuck with Herna's answer but she chooses to ignore it.  He again realized his own feelings and then massaged his head that was not dizzy.

Why am I so angry since I got here..

"Sir is okay?" Herna reached Adah's shoulder, making her turn back towards Herna.

"Jom." Jn."

Herna raised her forehead, "Where?"

Just be quiet. Without asking any more questions, he followed Adah from behind. Adah reached a cup of water from the servant close to her and moved towards the end of the hall. In front of him, the couple was already smiling looking at Adah as if she knew what she was thinking. In fact, Herna also did not expect that she would come here to meet the two of them.

"Greetings, my lord." Once again they bowed while crossing the left hand of the right shoulder.

I was surprised to hear the title given, "Eh, I am not my master! I'm just a son to a friend of Mrs Iris."

The couple glanced at Herna who was behind Adah with question marks. Herna's face filled with warning, shook her head swiftly. He noticed all that even though he didn't see what was happening around him.

"I'm Adah." , ignoring her surroundings.

They turned, "We know, sister Adah. Mrs Iris's best friend is also our best friend."

"This is Mr. Zakaria and Mrs Love. They've been guarding this palace since Cik Adah's mother was little."

"Before he was born again, we were here to serve." Puan Kasih replied.

"We have regarded your mother as our own son. Seeing her grow up from small happily is just something every parent wants." Mr. Zakaria.

“Before mom was born?” They nodded.

“Your family has been here a long time from you know the truth.” I was surprised to hear that fact.

I never told you about this.

“Addresses and attend all.”

Adah turned to look at the council, shutting down the conversation for a moment. There was a young man dressed in a black, white-haired blazer who stood aside from the edge while throwing a smile at all the guests present.

“We from the palace thank you for the presence of the guests to enliven our ceremony again today. As we know, today is a happy birthday, Adah Roman. Picked up the raved forward.” The man's voice was loud enough to fill the entire hall room.

Herna, now at Adah's side, extended a hand to lead her forward. Though mistaken, he reached out to his maid.

“What happened?” The crowd applauded as he moved before the hall.

Herna did not answer the question but she replied, “More I would like to apologize, Ms. Adah.”

"Huh?" His tanning mark was not answered. Herna was silent until she reached her destination.

Upon their arrival before the council, Herna let go of her hand and moved away from the sight of the guests. Only the lawyer and Adah are the focus.

"My master is ready?" Whisper of the young man.

Why is everyone calling me my master?

She looked at the guest floor, looking for someone she knew. Mrs Iris had first looked into her eyes. His face was heartless, Adah could not guess what he was thinking.

"Available for what?" Ask Adah.

"To continue the council." The young man was still smiling.

All too wrong to make the guest wait, he nodded and returned the smile of the man. The man also nodded.

"Today is his 21st birthday. He has been brought home as desired by my Lord Empress Almyra Leon to welcome his birthday at the Magika Palace."

Leon Almyra? That's who anyway?

Adah turned her head back towards Mrs Iris, expecting the problem to be answered. But Iris still looked at him without any reaction. He looked towards Herna. However, the maid simply lowered her head.

"First I want to apologize to Ms Adah."

He tried to connect all the puzzles that existed as long as he was in the supernatural realm but he knew there were still parts that he could not find anymore, causing his puzzle to remain unanswered.

“This paper will also be accompanied by the ceremony of.”

Consecration ceremony?! What the hell is going on?!

It's getting confused. What is happening now is worrying him. Meanwhile, Herna who had been standing far away from him again brought a crown that was filled with a lacy pillow, accompanied by Puan Iris next to him. They stopped exactly opposite Adah, but Adah looked at her with a thousand different feelings.

“With this, Lady Iris will abdicate her throne to the rightful, My Lord Empress Adah Leon, who today will rule the kingdom of the Unseen Realm with all her power and protect the kingdom with all her heart.”

“I'm not Adah Leon.” Finally his voice came out.

“Tak, Milord.” He turned towards Iris. Feelings raging. All is appropriate for him to process all such information.

“Don't Master me! I need an explanation. Describe near me!” Adah's eyes are shining red.

“Herna?!” Adah's voice rose, making Herna bow down in fear.

Seeing her aides speechless, Iris voiced Herna's defense, “My master is the only rightful heir, Anakanda to our Empress, Almyra Leon. Sorry for not telling me early. We only carry out tasks that were given by my Lord Empress first.”

Breath Adah becomes the pace of not clamor. It was too big for him to accept. He seemed to lose sight of what was in front of him. They both ran to reach Adah's body which was like trying to fall.

“Sir!” They screamed simultaneously.

“I SAID DON'T CALL ME MY LORD!”

A wave came out leaning from Adah's body causing both aides to slam back even strong enough to break the mirror and glass in the hall. The guest was shocked to hear his voice and kneeled with fear.

He regained consciousness and his sight returned. He was surprised to see the sight before him. The council became silent for a moment. The moaning at the end of the hall caught his attention.

“Herna! Iris!” They ran towards them.

“Tuanku.” Iris' words brought her steps to a halt. Adah shook her head.

“Tak... I taknak.” He stepped back.

They look at each other. Seeing those lying down and the guests kneeling to him, he could not accept all of that. He looked back at his assistant with a definite decision in his heart.

“I'm sorry.” He ran to the main door of the council.

“T-sir!” Iris's voice was stuck in the throat. However, the palace guards chased Adah from behind.

“Don't chase me!” Adah Directive.

Without a word, they stopped kneeling to hear his voice. Adah can not avoid the feeling of sticking with what happened. Without thinking anything else, he continued running out of the hall and headed towards the middle of the forest. Where he's going, he doesn't know. To be sure, he wanted to be away from the palace.

He ran away so his breath was gone. He stopped for a moment to take his breath. He leaned his body against the teak tree next to him and took a deep breath for him to calm down. After his breathing and heart had recovered, he was eager to continue his run.

But fate does not cover him. Two wolves groaned in front of him like they were ready to attack him. Due to being too tired, he just closed his eyes to accept his fate that would end there. A powerful groan before him caused him to open his eyes. What he saw, caused his eyes to collapse. A white tiger covered in blood approached him.

Where did the tiger come from?

His eyes darted behind the tiger and saw the carcass of two wolves that drooped to the ground. One voice echoed strongly within his head like he was using a loudspeaker.

‘You shouldn't be near here.’

He looked at the tiger with a sharp look. Something strange he felt.

Why do I think I've met him?

Breath stopped. He closed his eyes and struggled to breathe. He forced his paparab in a breath but he felt like it was strangled, still thrashing. He tried to once again until he felt a blockage in his neck finally come off. He looked around but found he was no longer in the forest. The breath is as fast as after the marathon.

He made room for his lungs to recover his breathing. He tried to sit from his bed and relax. He looked at his room wall clock which showed exactly at 3am. He took a deep and long breath.

“Why dream again... I'm tired.” he lamented slowly. He's re-spinning his body.

He looked at the ceiling of his room and drowned in his daydream, “Ni is ok ni.”

Without him knowing, Herna who was now at her study table in the shade mode, observed all of them. It's been 3 months, Adah's been experiencing this kind of thing. Seeing Adah having trouble sleeping made her feel sorry. Therefore, she chose to use her little magic on top of her master. He plucked the finger of his right hand. Not for a few seconds, Adah's eyes became heavy and slowly melted her eyes.

“Rehat, milord. Forgive Patik with others.” He kneels respectfully even though Adah cannot see him. Then, he disappeared from the room.
