"You think of something? you even ignored my existence here." Fredian sat crouching next to the bath up where Irna was soaking.
"Didn't you see everything every day? what if you were here?" His eagle rubbed his own neck with soapy water.
"Why? are you disappointed I wasn't as romantic as twenty years ago??" He asked while pulling the corner of his lips.
"You're not the Irna I used to know." He mumbled, then stood up and stepped out of the bathroom.
Irna was unaware of the huge change in herself. He also felt very cold when he was with Fredian at the moment. Even when he pretended to be warm, it was also no longer able to cover up the shortcomings he had now.
After finishing the bath Irna picked up a piece of her nightgown, the girl sauntered leisurely towards the dining table. He saw Fredian sitting down enjoying a cup of coffee.
"Did you lure me in your nightgown?" Standing up to Irna, the girl turned the plate over for dinner.
"ah! you like a dress like this?" Irna smiled as she bribed the food into her lips then chewed it slowly. Fredian lowered his head over Irna's right shoulder then kissed her cheek.
"I saw you thinking something, didn't you want to tell me that?" His whisper in Irna's ear.
"I'll tell you everything when I'm sure about it. I still need to make sure that's all true." She rubbed Fredian's hair over her shoulder.
"Finish your meal, I'll go to the study to finish my file. If you need anything, go there. Okay?" Irna just nodded her head to answer Fredian's question.
After finishing her dinner, Irna stepped towards Fredian's study. The girl stepped down the neatly lined bookshelf there.
His eyes were fixed on an ancient book. The writing on the outside of the cover uses gold ink. Irna picked up the book and led it to Fredian's desk.
"What book is this?" Irna asked him, because he did not understand the language on the outer cover of the book.
"That's a book of choice, a book of sound. He will speak to state the contents. And he won't talk to just anyone." Fredian smiled looking at the astonished face in front of him. Irna looked confused not to understand.
"Have you ever heard his voice?" Ask Irna.
"Never, but Rian once threw the book in the trash because he was so shocked!" He said while holding back laughter.
"Who gave you this book? Is it a magician? or the witch woman?" Pursue Irna nonstop.
"Sit here." Fredian waved his hand for Irna to sit on his lap.
Out of curiosity Irna complied and sat on her back on her lap.
"This book was carried away when I was a baby, this book that was under my covers when Wilson and I were adopted by the Derrose family early on."
"This book will probably state the origin of my life, all this time I always open it every full moon but still do not know what it contains. It seems this book wasn't directed at me." Fredian whispered again while kissing his cheek.
"But you said Rian could hear the voice from inside this book?" Ask Irna again.
"Hem, that's so weird. I also don't understand why this book wants to talk to him." Fredian shrugged both of his shoulders.
"What if I try?" Ask Irna.
"Yes, try. Let's see what this old book will talk about."
Irna opened the first cover. There appeared a voice and writing in the form of strange images.
*"Welcome my second owner..."
Irna continued to open the next page.
"You are the second person to hear my voice, smell from the scent of your blood you are the picky picker of the ice crystal flowers that descend to earth once a thousand years.."
"Who was your owner before me?" Irna tried asking him.
"One question, will be answered after one drop of blood!" End of the book.
Without hesitation Irna scratched a bit of her finger and dripped it on the page where she asked the book a question.
"He was the prince William of the wolf race.."
Irna turned her head quickly towards Fredian, the man was also surprised to hear the voice stating that the previous owner of the book was prince William.
Irna continued to open the pages of the book.
"You're the second owner after him."
"Your blood is fused with me, you must keep me with you."
"What was your relationship with twins a few years ago?" Ask Irna again.
"Two vampire babies, the son of King Vertose. The demon lord died, I was guarding two twin babies."
"What does this have to do with Prince William?"
"Prince William son of the Vampire King of the wolf race, a vampire who has mutated into a human. He had a relationship with the previous vampire king. He killed king Vertos."
Fredian was stuck hearing the contents of the book, the book was the key to all past events.
Irna re-opened the next page.
"Prince William was a five-year-old creator of potions and poisons. When the war between the two Vampire races led to the assassination of the king of Vertos, he went to the human world."
The book features a portrait of slowly, the face of Prince William.
"Dian!" Irna screamed loudly while turning her eyes to look at Fredian's face.
Fredian was not surprised by it, as if he already knew all the intricacies of his sidekick.
Irna immediately closed the cover of the book.
"Don't tell me you knew from the beginning?" Ask Irna.
"Of course, I've been feeling weird right from the start." Fredian muttered casually.
"Didn't you live with her for over fifteen years? Nearly twenty years? Or thirty years? you still can't figure it out?" Fredian pretended to be jealous looking at the wall.
"Fred! I think he's human, because I don't feel weird about him. From the beginning his attitude was the same as that, not changing at all." Irna scratched her head which was not itchy.
"You have no grudge against him at all? after finding out he killed your parents?" Ask Irna.
"I owe it to him, I don't think that sealed my power back then was the pastor of the church where my baby used to be cared for. But the one who sealed it was that five-year-old. He's trying to stop a generation of vampires."
"Now I know why he chose to live as a human being. He wants to stop the bloodsucking generation!"
"It's interesting, isn't it?" Fredian smiled broadly. Irna also recalls Peter visiting her study this morning. He remembered Peter's words, if all this time Prince William had made a potion to stop their thirst.
And since the prince's departure, the wolf-breed vampires have been hunting for human blood.
"It seems like the time is running out, that's why he gave you back to me."
"So you're saying Rian doesn't want me to see him change back to what he was?"
Fredian simply nodded his head answering Irna's question.
"Can we help him?" Ask Irna again.
"You forgot? he's the potion creator? you think he needs our help? if he was the one who solved all the problems we faced before, is it possible that we can help him?" Fredian himself was also confused, it happened so suddenly to Rian.
"Then how should we?" Ask Irna again.
"We'll just wait. Let's see if there's anything that can help him."
Fredian drove Irna to the hospital the next morning. He was shocked to see Peter standing outside the door of his study.
"What brought you back here?" Ask Irna.
"Our king invites you to come to the appointment of the second prince, to replace the king."
Irna accepted the invitation, knowing that she should not be carelessly present at the event. If previously there was a war between two rulers due to the power struggle of the hunt. Now it is not impossible that this will happen again and make his life threatened.
"Is this a trap?" Irna murmured in her heart, but the girl kept smiling looking at Peter to hide her panic.
"I can't promise to attend, but I will try to come."
"Alright, I'm relieved to hear that the lady will be trying to come to the Interure royal event. Then I say retreat first."
Peter lowered his head while taking off his fedora hat, saluting him before leaving.
When opening the door of her study Irna was even more surprised to see Rian sitting waiting for her on the sofa.
"You? why are you here so early in the morning?" Irna was a little nervous and then immediately put her bag on the table along with an invitation letter from Peter.
"To get the morning report." Rian put the file on the table. Irna immediately blocked her wrist, to ensure her body temperature.
"Why? do you miss me?" He asked while grinning towards her.
"Crazy basic! I just want to make sure that your body temperature is back to normal." Irna's grumbling is upset.
"Yes of course, who can accept a vampire like me, unless she's the same vampire as me." Irna muttered in her heart considering that Rian just accepted it even though he was the leader of the demon army.
"Why don't you ask your secretary to deliver this to me? lately you've been going in and out of my office a lot." Reveal it again to the man who is still standing next to his desk.
"Why? is my face so boring?" His feet before he left.
"Ah, I got an invitation from the Interure kingdom. Aren't you interested in seeing this?" Irna pointed the invitation card at Rian.
The man was silent for a moment, then looked at Irna with a smile.
"I'm not interested." He said so and disappeared behind the door.
"Should I take Fredian away? nay! it's too dangerous for him! if they find out Fredian is the son of the last remaining king Vertos, they'll probably finish him off." Irna thought hard to find a solution about the invitation.
Rian accidentally locks Fredian's body strength so that he survives the wolf race's sense of smell during the war of the two races. The man tried his best for everything.
But the greed of both races has rounded like water with oil. Each insists on its own decision. Finally the event kills each other and snatches each other into a dark color that day.
Today Rian is separated from the wolf race, choosing to become human. Fredian also lost his father.
