At the funeral of the Hero in Jakarta, Nabila sat alone in front of his father's pusara, the beautiful woman put a white carnation flower as a sign of respect.
Still vividly remembered, the time when his father began to take his life. In his last seconds, his father could still think about the condition of others. I remember what happened 5 years ago.
—Flashback On—
That night, Nabila and his father named Pak Handoko just returned from their respective workplaces. His father who is a police officer is rarely at home, but because that night is Nabila's birthday.
Mr. Handoko indeed deliberately picked up his favorite daughter from school tutoring so that he could have dinner together.
Nabila had been left by his mother since childhood, his mother died of an illness. Therefore Nabila grew up on the care of his father. He loved his father more than anything, because it was only the Father that he had today.
Now they are on their way home, as usual they ride a mini bus that has been a subscription for the two of them since long ago.
“Well, what do you want to eat tonight? We buy it, don't cook.” Said Nabila while leaning on his father's shoulder.
“What does Lala want to eat?” ask her father gently.
“Lala wants to eat chicken soup, which is in front of the turn lo, Yah”
Mr. Handoko smiled to hear it, Nabila does have a lot of similarities with his mother. They both love chicken soup at home.
“Ok, then later we will buy ya.”
Nabila cheered happily to hear it, Mr. Handoko joined in laughing. He still sits in the second grade of the High School, both living on income from his father who is a policeman.
“How was the school, smoothly right?”
Nabila. “Yes, only Lala doesn't like the new Maths Teacher. Error anyway!”
Instantly his father immediately pinched his cheek hard enough, to the point of making Nabila grimace in pain.
“Daddy, sick!” moooh Nabila.
“You don't like learning math?”
When he was singing his lips funny, his father smiled faintly at the behavior of his daughter who was still like the son of Kindergarten.
“Not that Lala doesn't like it, only her Teacher is wrong. Why should be fierce, Lala will be afraid!” exclaim Nabila defended himself.
Mr. Handoko is well aware of the sensitive attitude of his daughter. He was irritable, and if something was not right in his heart, he would continue to think about it for an immeasurable period of time.
But Nabila is not a vengeful person, he is easy to forgive even though he was a victim of bullying when he was in SD.
The two smiled together, they told each other many things. On the way, they did not expect what would happen. Until finally suddenly a bump felt from the left side of the Bus body.
BRAK!!
Everyone immediately screamed, as did the frightened Nabila. The bus he was riding on spun several times until it finally stopped.
Nabila felt all his body hurt. Slowly opening her eyes, the girl shook her head as she saw her father holding back the broken glass so as not to hurt her.
“A—yah!” call him in a stammer.
Mr. Handoko can still hear it, the middle-aged man was trying to get Nabila out of the bus that had been rattled. For a moment, Mr. Handoko observed the crisp car next to him. That car hit him.
Mr. Handoko seemed to know the car, he tried to see clearly the license plate number of the car. When he saw it clearly, Mr. Handoko immediately told his daughter to save him.
“Lala, save the person in that car!” his father said with great difficulty.
Nabila was still unmoved, she observed her father who was full of wounds while crying.
“Dad! I have to save Dad, I don't care about anyone else!”
When he started to move, he tried to open the body of the bus that had clamped his father's body. The longer, Mr. Handoko the more limp. He lost a lot of blood, which made him start to lose consciousness.
“Lala, A—yah please save the lives of others. A—yah already ti—dak can probably be between—mat”
Nabila shook his head loudly, His father should not speak like this. Nabila will try to save Mr. Handoko no matter what happens.
“Lala, this is Dad's latest request. Welcome people i—tu, you are a ba—dia ga—ik. Se—lamatkan, Son!”
After saying it with great difficulty, his father began to close his eyes. His hand that grasped Nabila's hand was no longer moving. The girl roared painfully, she did not want to be abandoned by her father.
“AYAH! Don't stay, Lala!” Nabila cried so badly.
—FLASHBACK OFF—
But that was the only thing he could remember. Doctors said Nabila was severely depressed and made him forget some of the memories of the incident. Including the figure of the man who has been the cause of his father's death.
“Until now I still can't remember it. If I could remember her face, I would have looked for her to avenge Father's death.” Nabila's voice sounded trembling.
His hand rubbed his father's tombstone trembling, still scarred from the incision he helped the man. He still did not understand who the man was.
Actually he was not really sincere in saving her, this is all he did because his father asked. Her tears came back every time she remembered them. When he was so weak, he couldn't get through it himself.
“Nabila, sorry I'm late”
Nabila immediately wiped her tears, the girl turned towards the source of the voice. There, a man who was running towards him was seen. Slowly, a gentle smile rose on Nabila's beautiful face.
“Kevin, have you arrived?”
Kevin Pradana, approaching Nabila who is still sitting in front of his father's grave. The young man looked at the navel then bowed as respect.
Nabila smiled faintly, if his father were still alive. He is eager to introduce Kevin to her, a handsome Senior who is now his best friend.
“Good afternoon, Mr. Handoko. I'm sorry, but I'm asking permission to take Nabila home. I promise I will keep it safe” said Kevin who made Nabila touched.
Nabila again rubbed his father's navel, the girl said goodbye to go home. He also said he would be back in a week, and bring along more fragrant carnations.
“Lala go home first, Dad..”
The girl walked over to Kevin who was smiling towards her. Kevin was the only person who cared about him when he was in a deep depression, which almost drove him crazy. Because of that Nabila became very dependent on a Kevin.
“Come home!” invite Nabila.
“Go home? Eat first, La. I'm hungry!”
Nabila. “You said to Dad to nganter me home, you know! Don't want to take me to eat.”
“Yah. if I say I want to invite this beautiful child to eat, later I get scolded he”
Kevin's answer managed to make Nabila laugh, this young man is indeed a little humorous. It was also what made Nabila feel comfortable with him, and began to open up to each other.
“Ok is good, but you are the one who treated?”
“Each Mr. Putri” said Kevin while paying his respects.
They both laughed together and walked towards Kevin's car parked in front of the cemetery.
Actually the two are very compatible with each other, but unfortunately Kevin already has a fiance chosen by both parents. Therefore, their relationship can only be limited to friends who complement each other.
