Chapter 38. The Pendant of Arthemis

Valko was devastated not to find Luna's necklace hanging from her neck. He swallowed a rough spit. The handsome man tried to recall the last time he used the necklace.

The memory rested on Valko's head. The last time he wore the necklace was last night, before the man turned into Dire Wolf. Last night he was back in a human form while in the forbidden forest.

"Don't ...." Valko's words hung in the air.

"Why, Val?"

"It looks like the necklace got loose in the forbidden forest!" exclaim Valko.

"How can it look like my dream? The difference was in my dream earlier, I threw the necklace into the Prohibition Forest."

"Later I'll look for him there."

"No!" prevent Luna.

The girl looked at Valko with a difficult look. Luna's lips trembled slightly, and her eyes returned teary.

"Why you?"

"I have to come! I have a bad feeling if you go into that forest alone!"

"Hey, you don't worry, Luna. I've gotten used to myself when I'm in and out of the southern woods." Valko summarized the lover's face, but Luna brushed off the man's arm.

"I'm more worried that you're coming along. Don't you remember when you got bitten by a snake there?" Seeing the attitude of the lover who was unstable, made Valko smile wryly.

"You don't care! Anyway I have to go there. Point!" exclaim Luna.

Valko can't squint anymore. He finally let out a long breath and exhaled slowly. Inevitably, Valko must agree to the lover's wishes. They continued their journey in silence, clinging to their hearts and minds.

After arriving at Luna's house. Valko says goodbye to Diego. Luna went straight into the room to rest. It was only the next day that the girl told her everything she had experienced to her uncle.

Diego sipped coffee, then exhaled a rough breath. His eyes glared considering the many unpleasant events that had befallen Luna.

"Luna, aren't you aware of this?" Valko put his coffee cup back on the table.

"What, Uncle?"

"Since you met Valko, you've been through a lot of dangerous strange things. I'm afraid you'll end up in vain if you continue with that half-wolf guy."

"What is this uncle talking about? I'm doing fine. Look now, my body is growing healthy and happy. Uncle doesn't have to worry about anything unfounded."

"Luna, I'm not like this for what. I love you as a real child. So, I hope ...." Diego's words stopped because he heard a knock.

Luna got up from the chair, then stepped towards the door. As promised last night, Valko has come complete with hunting equipment. Luna smiled gently, and asked Valko to come in.

Without hesitation, Valko stepped into the lover's house. When his eyes met Diego's sharp gaze, he nodded respectfully. Diego simply threw away a glance, then grabbed the coffee glass and sipped its contents slowly.

"Wait here for a second, I'll take our drawing supplies and stock food for us." Luna inched and half ran up one by one the steps."

Valko and Diego stared at Luna until she entered her room. After the slender body of the hadith was swallowed behind the door, Diego began to open the conversation with Valko. The middle-aged man threw a sharp glare to intimidate Valko.

"I know your intentions continue to approach Luna! Your foul intentions will endanger my nephew! Stop it all before the Goddess gets angry!" threaten Diego.

"It's so rotten your hearts! Harness the kindness and sincerity of my nephew with the frills of love!" furious Diego.

"Uncle, do you know what love is about?"

"Love is something that sometimes makes us suddenly go broke!"

"Uncle, believe. Luna is fine with me. I love Luna. At first I approached Luna knowing she was the Goddess. However, as time went on, everything became different."

Valko stared at the ceiling. His memory seemed to be thrown when he first met his lover.

"You must find the holy maiden of the goddess Arthemis!" said Berta at that time.

"What's the matter, Grandma?"

"She is the girl who can break the curse. He had the Arthemis Pendant, and the pure blood flowing through his body made the girl look special."

"Then how can I find him?"

"When the moon is full, the girl will shine brightly. His face would distract anyone who was staring. He has hazel eyeballs, but they emit bright light when the full moon comes."

Valko pensively for a moment. Suddenly his eyes were perfectly rounded. He remembered that today was the night of the full moon. Valko said goodbye to Berta, and ran into the forest before the full moon came.

Just as the moon was over Valko's head, he felt heat all over. The man threw his original shirt and enjoyed every whack of pain.

Valko's body started shaking. The whole vein's out. The canine teeth slowly appeared and long white hairs came out from his pores. After enduring the pain during the transformation process for thirty minutes, Valko finally managed to completely transform into the figure of Dire Wolf. He also howled as a sign that he was the one in power in the forest.

Shortly after, Valko smelled a strange scent that entered the Forest of La Eterno. He sharpened his sense of smell and continued to follow the source of the scent. After walking up to the middle of the forest, Valko found the figure of Luna who was now leaning on a fallen tree.

Who is this girl? ask Valko in my heart.

Among his drowning consciousness, he followed the girl. When the second where the wild side re-emerged, the giant wolf walked closer to Luna. He growled loudly.

"May I change my life for this?" Luna pulled the coarse pendant that coiled around her neck and thrust it at Valko.

The pupils of the giant wolf's eyes widened. It was only a while ago that Berta told him about the Arthemis Pendant, now in front of his eyes he saw it thrust at him.

Valko glanced at the pendant, then looked at Luna who was shivering in fear. Another surprise brought Valko's consciousness back. He saw Luna's face was very shining and looked beautiful under the full moonlight.

'He's the guy! She is the holy maiden of the goddess Arthemis!'

Valko picked up the locket, then walked away. However, he kept a close eye on Luna from a distance. His gaze continued to monitor each of the girl's footsteps. Until Valko finally finds out where Luna actually lives.
