"Why didn't you tell me you had stopmach cancer?"

"Don't you expect me to die early?" Jessy laughed cynically, "Marco, during the last days of my life, I don't want to love you anymore."

Chapter 1: Diagnosis.

"Mrs Candenberly, your family's not coming with you?"

Jessy's confused. Does he need company to get a medical report?

Besides, he has no family.

His mother died giving birth to him. Her father considers her a dairy cow while her brother blames her for their mother's death and hates her indefinitely. And Jessy stole her lover from someone else. Jessy will forget her family if the doctor doesn't mention her.

Jessy was stunned before she shook her head. "I'm alone."

The doctor frowned, pushed the glasses into his nose, and let out a heavy sigh. With regret in her eyes, the doctor took the test report on the table and handed it to Jessy.

"Mrs Candenberly, the test results are back. You have stage IV stomach cancer."

The doctor pitied Jessy who was very young and very ill and spoke carefully

Jessy was horrified because she could barely breathe. He picked up the report and frowned at the various indices. Jessy is not a doctor, but she can see how serious her stomach disease is.

Jessy felt something was wrong during the endoscopy, but she did not dare to think about it.

The doctor pointed at the picture and explained it to Jessy carefully. While listening, Jessy was deep in thought and then concluded that she did not have much time left and needed to be treated in chemo as soon as possible.

How long do patients with stage IV stomach cancer live? Jessy knew it better than anyone else because her grandfather died after suffering in bed for two years.

Doctor suggested. "Mrs. Candenberly, I think you should be hospitalized as soon as possible."

"Will I be cured if I have treatment?" Jessy's voice was hoarse and she looked empty and dead as if she was talking to herself.

The doctor said nothing but shook his head in embarrassment.

Jessy stood up, thanked him, turned around, and left the consultation room.

When Jessy came out of the hospital, outside the drizzle and a cold wind blew on her face, which was a little painful. Jessy opened her bag, looked outside the umbrella, and opened it, but she still felt cold.

It was not too cold in March. However, the cold settled deep in Jessy's bones and her limbs stiffened.

Jessy's fingers are red from the cold. He held an umbrella in one hand, his other hand clenched into his pocket, but did not become warm.

Jessy walked aimlessly, twirling the ring on her ring finger, staring at the dark sky. The weather in New York City is changing rapidly and it is spring in the blink of an eye. Everyone should be excited at this time of year. But did you know he might be dying?

Jessy stood by the side of the road and called a taxi. As the taxi pulled over, Jessy put her umbrella down slowly, opened the door, and walked in.

The driver turned around and asked Jessy, "Where are you going?"

"Winley District of New York City," Jessy replied, bowing her head.

On the way, Jessy inevitably opened her bag and looked at the pictures in the test report. Her stomach was so twisted and ugly that Jessy could not believe it was part of her body.

Jess is sick from hunger. During her four years of marriage to Marco, Jessy tried her best to cook the dishes Marco liked to please her. Jessy thinks that Marco will at least be moved to be gentle with her when she gets home from work and sees a nice dinner, even if she doesn't like it.

But Marco didn't want to have dinner with Jessy at all. However, Jessy is not depressed, still cooks every day, and waits for her to come home after sending her a message. Jessy has stomach cancer.

Jessy finally shed tears. Jessy took a breath, thinking that she was tough enough because she had been through so much.

But it's Jessy's toughness that pretends to collapse today. As Jessy's stomach twitched, she crouched down, trembled, gritted her teeth, and groaned long.

When the driver heard sobs, he looked into the rearview mirror and saw the woman hunched over, sobbing with her skinny back shaking.this was the first time he had seen someone crying so desperately.

"Mom, what's wrong? Did you just break up? Or are you unhappy at work?"

No one answered the driver. He continued, "Some mountains are just for climbing. Its alright. Crying does not help. Come back and have a good rest. Tomorrow morning the sun rises again."

Jessy lifted her head and a bitter smile appeared on her face. "Thank you." Jessy does not expect strangers to comfort her after she is diagnosed with a deadly disease.

The driver smiled softly and continued driving until he stopped at an emergency parking lot in New York City. It was a half-hour taxi ride and a total fare of 15 dollars. Jessy got out of the car, tore up the diagnosis she was holding, and dumped it in the trash. A cold wind blew and Jessy drained her tears. He again looked calm and mature, except his eyes were red and swollen, and his face was pale.
