Farrell p.o.v
The canteen of the Dirgantara Hospital.
"So, you want to get married? The same as Luna?" ask Alya
"Hmm, betrothed to Papa" replied Farrel.
"Ahahahahahahaha" Alya laughed while applauding.
"Kok you laugh at the guy" Farrel said.
"Yes very funny. Si Luna must be a gamau, but forced Fahmi" said Alya.
"Can you stop this wedding?" ask Farrel.
"Yes I'm not a person who takes care of small things kek gini" replied Alya.
"Little thing? It's a wedding, Al. Marriage is a once in a lifetime, it's not a small thing" Farrel said.
"But.this is your problem not mine. Babai" Alya said and left.
"All.." call Farrel.
"That's all the same to me. So what should I try now??" farrel said as he ruffled his hair.
Alya p.o.v
Alya is treating an outpatient.
"So, do you often feel tightness and pain in the chest?" alya asked her patient.
"Yes. It felt like someone was piercing my chest, Doctor" replied the patient.
"I'm going to examine you" Alya said as she placed a stethoscope on her patient's chest.
"Breathe with relaxation and calm. Just relax" tell Alya.
Alya heard like someone had a problem with the lung sounds of his patients, he thought that it was an early symptom of lung cancer
"Do you smoke often?" ask Alya.
"I just started smoking about 3 months ago and that's not often either" the patient replied.
"To see more about exactly what your disease is, I will do a CT scan and some other tests" said Alya.
"Do I have a dangerous disease because of smoking, Doctor? Why do I need a CT scan?" ask the patient.
"We still don't know for sure, so having a CT scan and other tests is the best option" Alya replied.
"Please save me, Doctor. I promise I won't smoke anymore" the patient said, holding Alya's hand.
Alya smiled.
"We still do not know exactly what the disease is and if there are complications, I will try to do the best for you. And instead of you making an appointment with me not to smoke anymore, it's better to apologize to your lungs" Alya said.
"Good, Doctor. Thank you, Doctor" said the patient.
Suddenly Alya called the sister in IGD.
"Hello, Sus" said Alya.
"There is an outbreak that suddenly attacked our hospital and the person who is suspected to be the first person affected by the outbreak in Indonesia is in the IGD now, so we shut down the IGD to see if the person was really affected by the outbreak" Nurse said.
"What is the plague, Sus?" ask Alya.
"MERS, Doctor. The person has just come from abroad and the country he came to is Saudi Arabia" replied the nurse.
"MERS?" ask Alya.
MERS also called Middle East Respiratory Syndrome or Middle East Respiratory Syndrome is an infectious respiratory disease that is sometimes fatal for some people. The disease is often spread through close contact with an infected person. And in this novel, author for there is a MERS pandemic in Saudi Arabia and there are new people from there who experience the same symptoms with MERS and the person is at IGD Aerospace Hospital. But it's certainly fiction. However, the MERS pandemic did occur in Saudi Arabia.
"I'll be there soon, Sister" said Alya.
"But Doctor, it's dangerous here" the nurse said.
Alya paid no heed to the sister's last words and immediately hung up on her.
"Return all the other outpatients and tell them that I'm busy, then schedule a CT scan for this patient" Alya told the nurse who accompanied her there.
He ran to the IGD and after being on the IGD, he saw the IGD door shut tight.
"Doctor Alya" call Doctor Vishnu.
"Do you know how many people are there and who are?" ask Alya.
"There are 10 staff of our hospital there.7 nurses, 2 general practitioners and the other specialist and doctor is Doctor Rangga. For the number of patients there, I don't know. And now there are 3 people suspected of having MERS, they are 1 family and one of them has just returned from Saudi Arabia" explained Doctor Vishnu.
"Dalem's host?" ask Alya.
"Yes, Doctor. Doctor Rangga is inside" replied Doctor Vishnu.
"When he was only 2 days guarding the malem, he must be tired. What if he's ketular??" alya.
"But we have to prepare for the worst possible" Alya said.
"All hospital staff in the hospital already have APD?" ask Alya.
"Already but PPE level 1, Doctor" replied Doctor Vishnu.
"Level 1 and not level 3??? Though this is a very dangerous infectious disease" said Alya.
PPE is a Personal Protective Device that is usually divided into 3 levels according to the infectious disease encountered.
"Our hospital does not store PPE level 3 because it does not know that there will be infectious diseases" said Doctor Vishnu.
"Hhhhh, this hospital is just a big name doank" said Alya.
"But you've contacted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, right?" ask Alya.
"Already, Doctor" replied Doctor Vishnu.
"Okay then" said Alya rather calmly.
He then peeked at the IGD window.
String p.o.v
Rangga sees Alya peeking at the IGD state through the window and he calls her.
"Go away from here, Al" asked Rangga.
"You mean what? I will continue to be here for your friends" said Alya.
"Uhuk".uhuk" Rangga coughed and his body was a bit limp.
"Why? You gapapa?" ask Alya.
Rangga suddenly fainted.
"Nggaa, Ranggaa" Alya said as she tapped - tap the IGD window.
Rangga who were inside the IGD was immediately transferred to the gurney by other staff who were inside there.
Alya p.o.v
"Let me in" Alya told the security guard who guards the IGD.
"Can't, Doctor. We have to follow protocol" the security guard said.
"I will be responsible for every activity I do. I'm also convinced that IGD needs me now, so let me in" Alya said.
"Can't, Doctor" said the security guard.
"Let Doctor Alya come in. IGD needs a specialist now" said Director Gilang who arrived there.
"But, Director.." said the security guard.
"I gave my permission. After all who can stop a doctor who wants to treat his patient" said Director Gilang.
"Thank you, Director" said Alya.
"Not what - what. Take care of all the patients who are in there and return safely. You have to fight Fahmi, I support you" said Director Gilang.
Alya smiled.
The security guard opened the IGD's door and let Alya in. After Alya entered, the IGD door was immediately closed again.
In the IGD, Alya immediately wore a makeshift APD, level 1 APD and saw the condition of Rangga. He touched Rangga's forehead to check Rangga's fever.
"Huhhhh" Alya said like a very relieved person.
"Why, Doctor? Why do you look so relieved?" ask one of the general practitioners who was there.
"He's okay - napa, just dehydrated. That's why I'm relieved. Please give the infusion to him so as not to get dehydrated" Alya replied.
"Okay, Doctor" replied the general practitioner and began to infect Rangga.
After that Alya took care of the other patients who were there.
