My name is Alya, Beatrix Alya Valencia. Beatrix means happy, Alya means fair while Valencia means strong. My parents gave me this name because they wanted me to be a cheerful girl, to be fair and mentally strong and of course because I was their first child.

Then my mother, Helena Brechtje, just call me Helena. My mother is the third daughter and youngest daughter of a fairly large company owner also in the Netherlands.
