“What should I do? What if Brian knew that Elie was really with me I could die in his hands,” muttered I was anxious.

How shocked I was to see the call coming in on Brian's behalf. Means right my guess, he must have been suspicious. Then I took a deep breath so I didn't hear I was scared.
