Chapter 51 - Lodging

With all the preparations complete enough, Qing Er, Yuan Shi and Yun Shan as well as a few bodyguards continued their journey to the Western Exile where the Prime Minister Family headed. Qing Er rode her horse casually as well as the others while looking at the situation around.

After passing through the valley and dense forest, they now began to enter the streets of residential residents crowded with small merchants on the side of the road. Qing Er turned her head to the right and left from behind the transparent cloth dangling from her hat.

Yuan Shi wore a cloth cover with his all-black clothes, not forgetting that he also hooked the personal jade of his beloved mother's relics on the waist area of his clothes.

"Go back to Beiming Kingdom, gather an army to come with me to the empire!" Yuan Shi turned his head towards Yun Shan who was wearing white clothes while wearing the man's hair color.

The atmosphere of the small market seemed to be crammed instantly, as if it was showing something interesting. "I'll go there" Qing Er said as she dismounted from her horse.

"Be careful!" replied Yuan Shi who then turned his gaze back to Prince Beiming. "Patch some bodyguards to accompany you, if anything happens to the Beiming Kingdom send me a letter immediately. Thank you for your help all along, especially regarding Qing's safety 'Er!" yuan Shi continued to Yun Shan who was now nodding and tightening his horse's grip.

"Hamba accepted His Majesty's decree, the servant and the people of Beiming will with all their might help His Majesty the Emperor reclaim the throne which is now in the hands of the wrong people. Be careful and also beg Your Majesty to take good care of Su Mian." Prince Beiming gave his last salute before he left.

Yuan Shi nodded and received a salute from Prince Beiming before the man left. After Yun Shan's departure, Yuan Shi's eyes were fixed on Qing Er who was now in the middle of the crowd. As he tightened the hat he was wearing, Qing Er finally returned towards Yuan Shi and stood looking up at the man.

"Suri's mother has made her unexpected move, the emperor has been announced not to be in the hands of the rebel empress with her family. Wu Zetian's coronation as your replacement will be done in four days. What are we gonna do?" Qing Er looked worried after the news she had seen on the announcement wall earlier.

Yuan Shi let out a long sigh, he extended his hand at Qing Er. "Qing 'Er need not worry, we should immediately gather an army. This trip, I will use it to meet General Ye. He is my loyal follower, I'm sure he won't believe these rumors quickly." explained Yuan Shi who then directed Qing Er to ride her horse again.

Qing Er pulled the reins of the horse then poked her feet on the pedestal and rode her horse appropriately. Turning his head the other way, Qing Er furrowed her brows in surprise as she could not find the Prince of Beiming who had been with them before.

"Where is Yun Shan?" qing Er asked curiously.

Yuan Shi pulled the reins of the horse to turn back the direction of his horse, while constantly turning his head towards Qing Er making sure the woman was always behind him. "I asked him to go back to Beiming." Yuan Shi stomped his feet slightly for his horse to speed.

Followed by Qing Er behind him, they continued their journey to meet General Ye whom Yuan Shi had spoken of. Nemo then appeared and sat with Su Mian on the horse.

"Miss, whatever you need I can give you! So, don't ask." Nemo said casually.

"It turns out your love is so deep Miss, you are even willing to die for the emperor. If you die, then our mission fails again and of course I cannot return. I'll do the same for you, I won't let you die." Nemo stood up and clenched his hands as though a battle warrior.

Su Mian chuckled slightly before strengthening the control rope and speeding his horse past Yuan Shi. "Sister Yuan, we don't have much time!" he shouted as he turned towards Yuan Shi at the back.

"Sister Yuan?" muttered Yuan Shi then helped accelerate the pace of his horse following Qing Er.

"Qing'Er must be careful, for there is our little angel in your belly." Yuan Shi smiled subtly after successfully pulling the control of Su Mian's horse to slow down the pace of his horse.

Qing Er stared at her stomach wordlessly then spontaneously stroked the stomach that had been filled with the fruit of their love. "I find it strange," he said as he looked at Yuan Shi beside him.

"What's up?" asked Yuan Shi with a flat face.

"Isn't this baby supposed to be kicking in my stomach? Why doesn't it feel like it's moving at all?" Qing Er furrowed her brows still confusedly staring at Yuan Shi.

"He's too young to kick your belly wall, I'm sure if he's enlarged he can even be more than kicking. She won't be much different from her mother, will she?" Yuan Shi chuckled slightly before finally focusing his gaze on the now deserted road ahead.

"You mean, I'm a woman who can't stay still?" Qing Er furrowed her brows intimidating Yuan Shi.

"Yes, that's how it is." Yuan Shi chuckled under the cloth cover of his face, as did Qing Er who now wore a sullen face that Yuan Shi could see from behind the possessive hat she gave.

"It's getting dark today, we're gonna be renting lodgings around here." Yuan Shi walked through several buildings that looked like motels. He also made his choice at a simple inn that he thought was safe for both of them.

Qing Er and Yuan Shi then walked into the inn, where they were immediately greeted by the innkeeper then began to choose a room for the two. The three-story, quiet motel made Su Mian suspicious. He quickly asked Nemo to investigate further about the inn they live in now.

"Nemo, be on standby, if anything strange happens please report it to me!" muttered Su Mian.

"Alright Miss, please rest. Your body is not as strong as yours in the modern world, healing pills are also limited, so take time to rest as much as possible. I'll keep watch and report to you if anything suspicious happens." explains Nemo, who is now away at Su Mian's request.
