Reo Takes Ella to Sasip Teahouse

When Ella was in Junior High, her school life was like a disaster comparable to the collapse of the sky that drowned the city. Even now thinking about it back, it only reminded Ella of the bad memories during Middle School.

Ella eventually dropped out of school and moved to the city. Ella tries to forget her painful past first.  

It is true that those who bullied him at that time were just bad children who still had innocence because they were not fully grown. Children of that age often make mistakes and have not found their way. 

When Ella moved to Tang City from Angspoer City, her life gradually improved even though she was always messed with her accumulated debts. At least no more bully-an of people. Ella got another recent bully in her new workplace environment.

Ella is not a vengeful person. Thinking that she was bullied by immature children, and her life also improved after she moved cities, why would Ella have to hold a grudge in the past?

Ella has no hatred for Reo, only her fear and inferiority when facing Reo who looks unchanged at all compared to the old Reo, making her want to stay away from Reo as far as possible!

Yes, Reo's tone and behavior are very similar to Reo when Junior High bully him, Ella is afraid of being bullied again by Reo.

A couple of co-workers who also came out of the restaurant to go home saw Ella and Mr. Reo.

Amy Doank asked, "Who is that rich young man?"

The other colleague answered. "He's Mr. Reo Kawenz."

Amy Doank, "Oh, do they have anything?"

Aranjo Wolf, the chef who accompanied him said. "Maybe! No wonder he was chosen to be the invited chef, there seems to be a body transaction behind the scenes!" 

There was a silence between Ella and Reo that made both of them feel uneasy. Reo finally tried to melt the atmosphere. "Get in my car."

Ella looked at Reo with a suspicious look. "Why should I get in your car?"

"To talk about work, of course." Reo answered.

Ella wants to tell Reo that Ella has no business to discuss at this late curfew and wants to ask Reo to come back the other day. But thinking that it wouldn't be nice to offend Reo by delaying their meeting, and having already met, Ella shouldn't have turned down Reo's offer.

So Ella nodded and was finally willing to get in the car.

As Reo also got into the car and closed the door, he smelled a strong smell of food. It is the smell of food from the kitchen. The smell of food from Ella's body and clothes was so strong that the room in the car became the smell of food.

While standing in the open room, Ella did not smell the food on her body and clothes at all. Only, when he got into the car and the car door was closed, the room in the car became the smell of food. Ella was embarrassed because she knew where the smell of the food came from.

Reo turned his nose slightly towards the window, He also opened the car window so that the air from outside went inside. Because of what Reo did, Ella became even more embarrassed. Ella's cheeks even flushed with embarrassment!

Ever since Ela moved town and started a new job in Tang city and has had a steady income, Ella has always washed herself quite often. It's just a coincidence he just finished work and doesn't have time to clean his body first. 

He did not expect that he was currently sitting next to someone at this moment with the scent of clothes and body that gave off the scent of such powerful kitchen food. Especially the smell of jengkol and anchovies that feel very strong.

Ella glanced at Reo vaguely and noticed Reo. Nothing seems to have changed, Reo still behaves like a noble who is always clean and arrogant, while Ella who sits next to him is still a smelly Ella. Ella really hated herself at this moment.

Ella has grown up, why does Reo still make her feel so embarrassed? in front of Reo who was shining like the sun, Ella still felt a sense of inferiority.

The sports car that Reo was driving started to accelerate slowly and its speed increased very quickly. The smell of the wind coming in through the car window blew Ella's eyes away so she closed them.

Slowly, Ella suddenly felt nauseous. Ella squeezed the seatbelt tightly in the car trying to refrain from vomiting. Maybe because Ella wasn't used to riding luxury vehicles so she wanted to vomit.

In the middle of the road, Reo suddenly slowed down his car, and he spoke to Ella. "Ella, have you eaten? How about we eat first?"

Ella immediately shook her head, her face completely pale at this moment. "I've eaten, I don't need to eat anymore."

"Since you've eaten, then I'll take you to the place to buy some night snacks. I haven't been to Tang City in a long time. I've been here before, just not often."

Ella was just listening, Reo was back talking. "This time I have business matters to settle in Tang City, so I will stay in Tang City for quite a long time for now. I didn't expect I would meet an acquaintance (Ella) in this Tang City."

"Where are we going to talk about the party?" ask Ella.

Reo laughed, "Look at the teahouse. Sasip Teahouse is a teahouse that serves good quality imported tea. The snack wasn't bad either, but I don't know you as a chef what can say good to the snacks in this teahouse? But let's go inside first and try it!"

Ella did not say anything because Ella knew even though she refused, Reo would still bring her inside without asking her opinion first at all. Just like before, no one could speak to Reo with a word of rejection and everything had to go according to what Reo wanted. That's how Reo is known to Ella.

Reo brings Ella into the Sasip Teahouse. The waiter approached them. The waiter looked like he already knew Reo, and the maid immediately took Reo and Ella into a private room.

Reo ordered tasting tea from goat milk (Nepal) and poci tea (Indonesia) along with some light snacks.

Ella was unfamiliar and did not know what to order other than sweet tea. So when Reo ordered tea and snacks for her, Ella did not mind and did not say anything.

Rice tea from goat milk. Lasi is a type of tea in South Asia. Rice tea contains fermented milk. Because cows are considered sacred animals in countries with a majority of Hindus, goat milk is used instead. The tradition of drinking rice tea has declined in general in the country. Rice tea is made by placing fermented milk into a large jar for several days with its own traditional technique. As a result, tea tastes somewhat acidic but is good for health. Unfortunately, this unique drink is only available in remote and isolated areas such as Nepal, where the geographical condition of Nepal is in the form of mountainous areas that allow its residents to raise goats as a source of raw material for tea. It's lucky that Sasip Teahouse has this tea.

The poci tea comes from Indonesia. The tradition of drinking tea developed in Java. Poci tea became a drink typical of the people of Tegal Slawi, Pemalang, Brebes and surrounding areas. Called poci tea because the tea is brewed in a pot made of clay and then added sugar cubes to drink while hot. Poci tea is very typical and so popular, this tea is also attached to the term FASTIGEL which stands for fragrant, hot, sepet, legi, lan kentel. That is, hot, sweet, scented tea scented jasmine flowers, and concentrated.

This tradition of pot tea developed with the growth of tea factories in Tegal in the 1930s. Poci tea uses a distinctive flavored jasmine green tea that makes its taste and aroma so distinctive. What makes the taste and aroma so distinctive is that porous clay poci react with the tea when it is brewed hot water. The inside of the pot, usually never washed. Just throw away the rest of the tea. According to the Tegal community, the remaining crust of tea will actually add to the taste and aroma of poci tea. Poci tea is very delicious served in the morning or afternoon with a light snack.
