Chapter 21 - Tracker

Kenneth uses his handsfree to contact his partner at the base to ask for help. But he had not had time to do so, he suddenly got a special message that entered on his Neoglass. As soon as he opened it, the message he received from an anonymous IP that sent a current location from James, from the message he received, the person included a sentence with a sound, which was, “I put a tracking device on the boy's body. You can keep following the signal from the installed GPS.”

Kenneth was confused and curious about what was really going on. He also had a doubt before finally another message came in, from the same IP address. This time he sent her a number and asked her to call it to make sure the location she sent was accurate. Kenneth called the number with a virtual number. As soon as he contacted him, he immediately heard Jefferson's voice from that direction.

Realizing this, Kenneth immediately took advantage of the situation. He used a voice changer on his handsfree microphone and turned his voice into the voice of one of Jefferson's men who had previously been recorded in his Neoglass. So when Jefferson heard his voice the same as the voice of his men, he did not feel suspicious at all and immediately answered every question he asked. Kenneth also did not forget to lure her to say where Rieko took James, and Jefferson plainly said the woman's purpose. That made Kenneth confident of the location point he received because the location point was really similar to the location point described by Jefferson.

After finding out where Rieko was going to take her niece, she immediately picked up the alibi given by the agent on duty at the place she was coming to and immediately left in another vehicle. One of the agents escorted him in disguise as a taxi and then drove to the airport.

Sheilla and Grayson stepped out of their car after they parked the object in a secret room under their home. The place was directly connected to the road they used to go to the headquarters. Once out of the car, the two approached one of the rooms to change their clothes and climbed into their private room using an elevator connected to the chimney there.

“What's up?” grayson asked when he found his wife repeatedly checking her phone and trying to dial the same number repeatedly.

“Ken contacted me since. He tried to call me a few times and I didn't realize it because we were too busy discussing with Nico and Adeline about our mission.”

“Why did he contact you?”

“I don't understand either. Hopefully nothing happens.”

“Why do you say that?” Grayson frowned. He could not understand why his wife said that.

“Really? So you're also feeling unsettled?”

“You also feel it?”

“Yes, actually I feel it too. Maybe it's because Ella's sick, so we feel uneasy letting James be with her.”

“Maybe..” murmured Sheilla. Their attention instantly shifted as the elevator opened and they arrived in their private space. The two stepped out as soon as they got there, and the elevator again moved down before it finally turned into a fireplace. Sheilla and Grayson without waiting for a long time walked out of the room. At first they intend to check on James who may be in his playroom or in his room with Kenneth. But when crossing the stairs, they immediately stopped and rushed down in a panic when they found the entire room was wet because the extinguisher was lit.

“What happened here?” Sheilla widened her eyes when she saw the entire room in a state of chaos.

“ELLA!” Grayson and Sheilla rushed to the woman lying on the floor while enduring the pain. The two squatted nearby with anxious faces.

“Ella, what just happened here? You why?” Sheilla attacked him with questions.

“J-James... James was kidnapped.. and Mr. Ken is teaching his captor...”.

“APA?!” Sheilla and Grayson opened their eyes. They were shocked by what they had just heard. Rushing the two helped the woman to get up from her position and asked her to explain what had happened. Sheilla and Grayson could not hide their anxious feelings at all. The two of them turned agitated upon hearing Ella's explanation.

Grayson doesn't want to stay silent. The man tried to contact the man who was his sister-in-law and asked her whereabouts. But Kenneth they could not contact at all. I don't know where that guy is right now. While Sheilla, she tries to seek help by contacting her other fellow agents.
