Chapter 48's

Hyun-ri is still speechless with her sad gaze. He still does not expect that Hwan-ki has such feelings for him. However, how else, Hyun-ri just loves Seok Gwan. He can't return Hwan-ki's feelings for him, as he only considers Hwan-ki to be his best friend.

"Sorry." said Lirih Hyun-ri but still heard by Hwan-ki.

"Hi, stop. Now, do you need anything? You want me to get a doctor to check on you?"

"No oppa. But I want a drink."

Hwan-ki smiles handsomely at Hyun-ri, he instantly helps Hyun-ri to sit leaning on her bed and helps Hyun-ri to drink.

"Are you very thirsty?" hwan-ki asks as Hyun-ri spends the water in a glass up to the toilet.

"Yes oppa." Hyun-ri replied with a grin.

"Sorry, because yesterday we came too late to save you."

"What are you talking about, oppa? You guys came on time. If you hadn't come last night then I.."

"Sstt is over, it's over. You're safe now." cut Hwan-ki to appease Hyun-ri by holding Hyun-ri's hand.

"Then, what about auntie and Gun-yo oppa?" hyun-ri asked with a sad face.

"He's in jail and Gun-yo, he's a fugitive now" Hwan-ki explains,

"Then yesterday before we got to the mansion, Gun-yo confronted us with his men and a fight ensued. But, while I was facing Gun-yo's men, I caught a glimpse of Gun-yo who was careless until he attacked and got a puncture wound from our men." obviously Hwan-ki told me about last night's incident.

"What's? Lu.. puncture wound?" hyeon-ri asked in surprise.

"Yes. Not without reason we use weapons, because from the beginning Gun-yo's men confronted us with weapons. So it ends that way."

"Then where did Gun-yo oppa go? What about how he is now?" tanya is worried Hyun-ri

"Once again, last night I thought he was going back to his mansion, but he wasn't." replied Hwan-ki, "Have it, don't talk about it again and stop worrying about it."

"But, oppa. He's still my family, anyway."

"But they are evil to you and almost do you harm." replied Hwan-ki a little annoyed.

"They did that, because they were blinded by a misunderstanding alone oppa."

"Enough, Hyun-ri. I don't want to discuss this anymore" said final Hwan-ki not to argue anymore.

"Now rest, while waiting for Seok Gwan and Seo Yoon to return. I want to go out for a second, get some fresh air."

Hyun-ri just nodded according to. Hwan-ki also helps Hyun-ri to lie back on her bed. After making sure Hyun-ri is comfortable, Hwan-ki steps out of the room. Yet...

Hyun-ri restrains Hwan-ki's right hand, and stops Hwan-ki's move.

"Why? You need anything?" hwan-ki asks with a puzzled look towards Hyun-ri.

Hyun-ri closes her eyes with her hand still holding Hwan-ki's hand.

"Don't get away from me, oppa. I'm sorry for not being able to return your feelings, but I beg you.. Stay here, don't go anywhere don't walk away from me, oppa." said softly Hyun-ri and involuntarily Hyun-ri's tears just dripped with her eyes still closed.

"I'm not going anywhere. I won't stay away from you." replied Hwan-ki with a faint smile and wiped Hyun-ri's tears away.

"I'm sorry, if my confession yesterday weighed you down. Rest."

Cup...

Unknowingly Hwan-ki warmly kisses Hyun-ri's forehead and pets Hyun-ri's head.

"Why don't you come in?" ask Seo Yoon who just approached Seok Gwan.

Bruck...

"Where are you going? You don't want to have breakfast together? Yaw!!! Seok Gwan." asked and called Seo Yoon when Seok Gwan left after giving him a bag of food, "What's wrong with him?"

"You're back? Why so long?" hwan-ki asks when she just opened Hyun-ri's inpatient room door, "Where's Seok Gwan?"

"Either, when I got out of the toilet and approached him who was just standing by the door here, he left immediately after giving me this breakfast" Seo Yoon explained.

Hwan-ki frowns while listening to Seo Yoon's retribution and realizes something.

"Alright, you just go in and accompany Hyun-ri to breakfast. I want to go out for a while" Hwan-ki said.

"Where?"

"Many questions, already in there."

Hwan-ki goes downstairs and searches for Seok Gwan's whereabouts, then as Hwan-ki passes through the hospital's garden, he accidentally sees Seok Gwan sitting on a park chair all by himself.

"Why are you even here? You don't want to accompany Hyun-ri to a meal?" ask Hwan-ki who is sitting next to Seok Gwan.

"Not because of jealousy?"

Seok Gwan did not answer and kept looking straight ahead without turning towards Hwan-ki.

"Don't be jealous, I'm just calming Hyun-ri down."

"I know, there's no need to talk about it. I'll pretend not to see it." replied Seok Gwan flatly.

Yes, Seok Gwan sees when Hwan-ki kisses Hyun-ri's forehead. That is why Seok Gwan chose to go to dampen his jealousy. Seok Gwan doesn't want his jealousy to take hold of him and ends up hating Hwan-ki.

"I've started to take away my feelings for Hyun-ri. But, I will still love Hyun-ri as my best friend." said Hwan-ki blankly staring at the garden grass.

"Sorry, because of me you can't get Hyun-ri's heart."

"Why are you apologizing? Are you crazy or stupid? Yaks.. That feeling can't be forced, and Hyun-ri has loved you for a long time. So, why are you apologizing. Do I look pathetic in front of you, until you apologize?" hwan-ki replied with a slight annoyance.

"Well, it turns out that a Lee Hwan-ki is able to say such a long word" said Seok Gwan contrived.

"Haish, it's up to you."

Seok Gwan just smiled faintly and the feeling of jealousy that plagued him earlier, suddenly yawning disappeared just like that after chatting with Hwan-ki.

"You're lucky to get Hyun-ri. Take good care of him, if not. I will take it from you." said Hwan-ki with a faint smile and moved from his seat leaving Seok Gwan.

"Yeah, you want to die. I won't let you snatch Hyun-ri." replied Seok Gwan with a slight shout.

Seok Gwan chuckles, seeing Hwan-ki just waving his hand and walking away from the park.

It was late afternoon, Hyun-ri was sitting leaning still on her patient bed. He felt bored because he did nothing, while Seok Gwan who kept him only focused on his phone.

"Oppa, where are Hwan-ki oppa and Seo Yoon oppa? Why don't they come back here?" hyun-ri asks trying to shift Seok Gwan's focus.

"They're going to the inn, there's some work they need to get done" Seok Gwan replied, still focusing on the phone in his hand.

"Sucks." said Hyun-ri annoyedly.

Seok Gwan, who can still hear it, raises his eyebrows next door and looks at Hyun-ri who has a pouting face.

"You why?" ask Seok Gwan while putting his phone on the table.

"No." replied Hyun-ri with an increasingly sullen face.

"Then why are you pouting like that?"

"No, I want to sleep." Hyun-ri replied coldly.

Hyun-ri immediately breaks down and drowns her body in the blanket with her back to Seok Gwan.

Seok Gwan who saw Hyun-ri's behavior was just smiling thinly.

"You angry?" seok Gwan asked, but did not get an answer, "It looks like you are really angry."

Without permission or anything, Seok Gwan immediately climbed into Hyun-ri's bed to join him and immediately hugged Hyun-ri from behind.

"Oppa, why are you sleeping in this bed too? What if a doctor or nurse suddenly comes in and sees us?" hyun-ri said quickly, as her heart was beating rapidly.

"Just be wild. I want to sleep with you and hug you. So, shut up and go to sleep." replied indifferently Seok Gwan.

Hyun-ri who heard Seok Gwan's answer turned to face Seok Gwan.

"Oppa, don't be like this" Hyun-ri said a little annoyed.

"Then what was it like?"

Grep...

"Like this?"

Seok Gwan immediately restrains Hyun-ri under him. Now their position is so very intimate, that it makes Hyun-ri blush and her heart beats faster.

"O.oppa, I.I'm a patient if you forget" said Hyun-ri nervously without looking at Seok Gwan above him.

"And you're my lover, if you forget."

"Yes.."

Uncompleted Hyun-ri says her words, Seok Gwan instantly silences Hyun-ri's lips with a small lum*t*n.

Hyun-ri gets swept away in Seok Gwan's kisses by slowly closing her eyes, draping her hand around Seok Gwan's neck and also returning Seok Gwan's kiss with a small lum*t*n.

"Eugh.." one moan escapes Hyun-ri's lips in the middle of their kiss, and makes Seok Gwan smile thinly.
