Monday has arrived and the school ceremony begins. Rey, who should have been in the school grounds to attend the ceremony, was still asleep in her room. Rey's cell phone alarm suddenly went off, indicating the time was 06:00 in the morning. Without wasting any time, Rey got up and got ready to go to school.
However, when Rey saw the clock on the wall, she was shocked. It's 06:30! He must be late for the ceremony. Rey tried as quickly as possible to prepare herself and ran towards the door, but her mother was already waiting for her in front of the room.
"Rey, why haven't you left yet? The ceremony has begun!" mother said.
Rey panicked. He knew that his school gave punishments to students who were late at ceremonies, such as cleaning the school yard or cleaning the class. Rey doesn't want to face that punishment again, having experienced it before.
In a panic, Rey tries to find a way to avoid punishment. He picked up his bag and left his house as quickly as possible. He rode his motorcycle at a rapid pace towards the school, but stopped when he saw the school gate filled with school officials and teachers.
Rey did not dare to enter the gate, fearing it would be caught too late. Instead, he hid behind bushes next to the gate and left his motorbike to the shopkeeper in front of the school, hoping not to be found by the school clerk or teacher. He pulled out his phone and opened a group chat with his friends.
"You guys got to school?" ask Rey.
"Not yet, we're still on the road" replied his friend.
Rey was relieved, because her friends were also late. However, he still remained vigilant and continued to monitor the situation at the school gate. He saw the school clerk passing by, looking for the late student. Some students who were caught late were taken by officers to the school grounds to carry out the punishment.
Rey felt grateful for successfully avoiding the punishment. After a few long minutes, his friends finally arrived at school. They see Rey hiding behind the bushes.
"Come on, get in!" rey told his friends.
Rey and her friends enter the school gate, and escape the terrible punishment. Despite being a little late, Rey and her friends managed to follow the ceremony well, and were relieved to avoid punishment.
While the ceremony was going on, Rey and her friends walked slowly towards the back row. They whisper while complaining about the punishment that might be given to Rey because of bad luck.
"That's it, Rey. Do not like to wake up late," said a female classmate in a whispering tone.
Rey just nodded and smiled wryly. He felt very guilty for his delay today.
Meanwhile, the ceremony continued solemnly. Students and teachers take the process seriously. In the end, the ceremony was over and all the students returned to their respective classes.
Rey and her gank choose to skip the first lesson and go to the cafeteria to relax. They ordered some food and drinks, and sat at a comfortable table.
Suddenly, Lizza and her friends come to the cafeteria and see Rey and her gank sitting down. Lizza looked at them with a look of amazement and said, "You guys skipped the first lesson? Why the hell?"
Rey simply smiled and replied, "We need a short break. We were late this morning and almost got punished."
Lizza approached them with a serious face.
"Well, you guys should be in class! Why even skip here?" asked Lizza while looking at them intently.
Rey and her gank look awkward and don't know what to answer. Finally, Rey let out her voice, "Sorry, Lizza. We're bored in class and want to have a little chat here."
Lizza was still staring at them with a sharp look, "But you guys should be in class. Don't skip lessons, it'll be bad grades."
Rey and her gank looked down and nodded.
Lizza was annoyed that Rey had not paid any heed to his tirade. She then leaves Rey and her friends in the cafeteria and goes to class with her friend Lizza. Meanwhile, Rey continues to smoke her cigarette and tells her friends about their plans to have a small party on the weekend.
A few minutes later, a class leader (KM) suddenly walks into the cafeteria and scolds Rey and her friends for skipping the first lesson. They are asked to return to class immediately and take lessons as usual. Rey is upset and frustrated that her plan to skip was interrupted, so she evaded the class president's order until the class president left and decided to write in absentia that Rey and her gank were truant the first lesson.
After finishing relaxing, Rey and her gank decide to go to class. They walked together, joking and laughing. Even though they have skipped the first lesson, they are still eager to learn and follow the next lesson.
Lizza who saw Rey return to the cafeteria with her friends was disappointed. She feels that Rey is not serious about her education and prefers to have fun.
Rey sat on the canteen bench, playing her cigarette while staring blankly ahead. Around him, his friends were busy chatting and laughing. No one dared to rebuke Rey because she was known as a bad boy at that school.
Meanwhile, Lizza sat alone at another table, staring at Rey with an anxious face. She doesn't know what to do to stop Rey from getting into her bad habit.
Suddenly, Rey's hand stopped in midair as she looked at the principal and several teachers approaching towards them. Rey and her gank immediately turned off her cigarette and hid the cigarette pack inside the bag.
"What's up here?" ask the principal sharply.
Rey and her gank look at each other for a while before one of her friends, named Rama, stands up and gives a false excuse about them just drinking tea in the cafeteria.
The headmaster and the teachers who accompanied him did not seem to fully believe it, but they eventually left the canteen without taking any further action.
After they left, Lizza felt a little nervous as she approached the cafeteria table where Rey and her gank were gathering while smoking cigarettes. The few students and schoolgirls who saw him also looked somewhat anxious and did not dare to approach.
However, Lizza remained determined to approach them. He wanted to tell Rey about something important. Lizza finally reached their table and sat down beside Rey.
"What's up, Lizza?" rey asked as she exhaled her cigarette smoke.
"Look, Rey. I don't like you smoking. I'm worried about your health" Lizza said in a soft voice.
Rey and her gank were silent for a moment. They were not used to hearing such words, especially from a girl. However, Rey felt a little compelled to listen to what Lizza had to say.
"You mean?" ask Rey.
"I want you to stop smoking, Rey. Your health is more important than these bad habits" explains Lizza.
Rey pondered for a moment and looked at her cigarette. He felt a little lured by Lizza's words. After thinking for a while, Rey finally exhaled her cigarette smoke and extinguished it in the ash that was already available on the canteen table.
"You know for yourself that it's not good for your health and it's against school rules" Lizza said in a serious tone.
Rey just kept quiet and stared at the cigarette pack still hidden in her school uniform pocket. He knew Lizza was right, but how could he quit his bad habit? She felt like cigarettes were the only friend she had always been there for, even when her friends were busy with each other's affairs.
However, as Lizza continued to gently reprimand her, Rey began to consider changing. He knows that Lizza always wants the best for him and he doesn't want to disappoint him.
"I know, Lizz. I'll try to stop" Rey said in a low voice.
Lizza smiled with relief at Rey's words. He knows that the struggle will not be easy, but he is ready to help Rey overcome her bad habit.
The bell home from school had arrived Rey exited the school gate with wide steps and fixed her gaze towards the highway. He looked to the right and left looking for the shop where he left his bike. After looking around, he looked at a shop and convinced himself that it was the shop in question.
Rey went straight to the store. When he arrived at the store, he saw that his friends were waiting for him. And Rey remembers what Lizza said when she told him she had to quit smoking and asked him not to smoke in the school area anymore. Rey feels a bit upset about being given orders, but realizes that Lizza is worried about her health and wants the best for her.
After talking to her friends for a while, Rey decides to go home. Before Rey gets home she sees the motorbike she left behind and pays for the parking fee, then touches every part of the bike to make sure everything is in good working order.
After being satisfied with the inspection of the motor, Rey opened the jar that was in her bag and took one cigarette. He lit his cigarette and inhaled his smoke delicately. Rey looked around and saw some people passing by on the highway.
While enjoying his cigarette, Rey thinks about plans for the night. He plans to take his gank away to a party held by a group of people he knows. Rey hopes the night will be exciting and full of fun things.
After he finished smoking, Rey put on his helmet and started the engine. He left at a fairly fast pace towards his home. Feelings of excitement and high spirits lead Rey through crowded and crowded streets to her home.
