After the school day ended, Lizza was getting ready to go home. He walked over to Rey's desk with a gentle smile on his face. "Rey, I want permission to go home. See you tomorrow."
However, Rey held her hand gently. "Lizza, wait a minute. I want to take you home. Don't go home alone."
Lizza was surprised by Rey's offer. Although they are dating and often together, Rey never offers to drive her home every day. He smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Rey. I'm glad you could take me home."
They both walk out of the school building to Rey's BMW. They get in the car and Rey starts the engine. Their journey home was filled with small talk and laughter.
As they approach Lizza's house, Rey feels the presence of a feeling of worry within her. He felt like protecting Lizza and ensuring its safety. Rey held Lizza's hand with tenderness. "Lizza, I want you to know that I'm always there for you. I care about you and I want to protect you."
Lizza smiled gently. He was warm with Rey's words. "Thank you, Rey. I care about you too. With you, I feel safe and secure."
They arrived in front of Lizza's house. Rey shuts down the car engine and opens the door for Lizza. They walked side by side towards the front door. Before Lizza entered, Rey hugged him tightly. "Take good care of yourself, Lizza. I will always be there for you."
Lizza returned Rey's embrace lovingly. "I know, Rey. I feel lucky to have you." They let go of each other's hugs and Lizza went inside his house.
Rey waited for a moment, making sure Lizza was safely inside. He saw the light inside the house and convinced himself that everything was fine. Then, he walked back to his car with a smile on his face.
As she returned to her home, she pondered the moment they shared today. Rey realizes how important her role as a trustworthy couple and protector is to Lizza.
Rey sat in her room, continuing her stalled activities after delivering Lizza home. However, suddenly his phone vibrated, signaling there was an incoming call. Rey picks up her phone and sees the name "Anna" plastered on the screen. He picked up his phone.
"Hello, Anna. What's up?" ask Rey in a soft voice.
Anna sounded worried across there. "Rey, can you help me? Mom asked me to go to the mall, but I didn't want to go alone. I'm scared."
Rey understands Anna's anxiety and appreciates her request. "Of course, Anna. I'll come get you. Where are we meeting?"
Anna gave instructions on where they would meet in front of the leading shopping mall in the city. Rey thanks Anna and hangs up the phone call.
Quickly, Rey got back in her car. He turned the ignition lock, hurtling down the road at a reasonable speed. Although his heart felt a little uncomfortable for leaving Lizza so quickly, he still put his friend's kindness and safety first.
Arriving in front of the shopping center, Rey saw Anna was waiting with an anxious face. He opened the car door for Anna and smiled gently. "Don't worry, Anna. I'm here for you."
Anna smiled at Rey. They walked together towards the mall entrance. During the trip, Anna recounts her worries and the various things that happened in her life. Rey listened attentively, gave her support and comforted her.
When they enter the mall, the cheerful and boisterous atmosphere makes them forget the worries for a moment. Anna takes Rey around, tries on some clothes, and enjoys food in the food court area. They laugh and share stories, creating unforgettable memories.
After finishing at the mall, Rey drove Anna home in her car. Anna is so grateful for Rey's help that they head for the parking lot, Rey stands in the parking lot shocked to see Seyla suddenly appear before her. Rey's heart is pounding fast, as she knows Seyla is Lizza's best friend. She is nervous and anxious that Seyla will ask her whereabouts there, especially since Rey is at the mall with Anna without telling Lizza.
Seyla looked at Rey with a surprised expression. "Rey, what are you doing here?."
Rey tried to control her anxiety. "Oh, hey Seyla. I have business here with Anna."
Seyla looked at Rey with a suspicious look. "What's really going on, Rey? Why do you look so nervous? Is there something you're hiding from me?"
Rey stutters around, looking for the right words to explain the situation without worrying about Seyla or hurting Lizza's feelings. He felt a dilemma, as he did not want to hide anything from his best friend, but also did not want to cause unnecessary anxiety.
Finally, Rey took a deep breath. "Seyla, I'm actually here with Anna. She needed someone to accompany her and I agreed to drive her to the mall. I know this might sound weird, but I don't want to worry Lizza. I know she has special feelings for me, and I don't want to hurt her feelings."
Seyla looked at Rey with understanding. "I understand, Rey. But you also have to understand that Lizza will feel hurt if she finds out this from someone else. He trusts you and expects honesty from you. You better tell him now than he knows it from someone else."
Rey pondered for a moment, realizing the truth of Seyla's words. He knew he had to face Lizza with honesty, even though it might hurt. She thanks Seyla for her advice and decides to call Lizza and after taking Anna home Rey goes to the lizza house and it leaves Lizza a little surprised that Rey is rare playing at home at the wrong time is usually Rey and Lizza if playing at home is only on school holidays.
When Rey arrives at Lizza's house, she immediately presses the bell button and is opened by the lizza mother and Rey is welcome to enter and just look for Lizza. He found her sitting in the living room, reading a book. Rey felt her heart thump as she approached Lizza.
"Lizza, there's something I have to tell you" Rey said in a soft voice.
Lizza looked over and saw Rey's anxious face. "What's up, Rey? Is everything okay?"
Rey sat down near Lizza, clasping her hands gently. "I'm sorry, Lizza. Today I drove Anna to the mall without telling you. I didn't mean to hide anything from you or hurt your feelings. I'm just afraid that you'll feel jealous or hurt if you find out."
Lizza looked at Rey with a mixed expression of disappointment and relief. "Rey, I appreciate your honesty. But, I also want you to know that I feel hurt because you are hiding this from me. We need to trust each other and communicate honestly."
Rey nodded, realizing her mistake. "You're right, Lizza. I'm sorry I didn't tell you from the beginning. I promise to be more open and honest with you in the future. You're someone who means a lot to me, and I don't want to lose you."
Lizza smiled, clutching Rey's hand tightly. "I don't want to lose you either, Rey. Let us learn from this experience and strengthen our relationship. Trust me, honesty is the key in keeping our love and trust."
They look at each other, reassuring each other of their commitments. Rey was relieved and grateful for Lizza's understanding. The two of them felt even stronger after facing this hurdle together.
That night, they sat side by side on the sofa, sharing stories, laughter, and jokes. They felt closer than ever, because their honesty and trust had bound them even tighter.
