5. Ekhsan the adopted boy

“Assalamu ‘alaikum ma'am, is there any food? I'm hungry” Her greeting politely and weakly while stroking her rumbling stomach.

The two women who saw it felt pity. Then the two approached the handsome boy and asked.

“Waalaikumsalam” answer both compact with a smile.

“Let's go in and eat” said Inah then invite the boy to eat in his stall.

The boy was told to eat for free and immediately ate it. When he finished eating, the boy left.

But before that, Inah and Fanny chatted to the handsome boy.

“Whose name are you kiddo?” ask Fanny.

“My name is Muhammad Ekhsan, I am 4 years” he replied.

“Oh Ekhsan” says both.

“Where are your parents son?” ask Inah.

“I don't know buk” Ekhsan replied while shaking his head.

“Kalo once I go first ya buk find my parents” permission then stand.

“This is it, son, what is the name of father, mother you son?” ask Inah while holding the boy.

“My mother's name is mama Desi buk” Ekhsan replied honestly. Hearing that, both of them were shocked and confused.

“Uni Fanny, isn't union Desi olun married?” ask Inah slowly.

“Iyo tuh but inyo is still angry if you snatch the Khansa mass from inyo” replied Fanny.

“Maybe I'm an illegitimate child buk” Ekhsan replied suddenly.

Hearing that, both of them glared in shock.

“Astaghfirullah al'azim son, do not say like that anyway you are a good and holy boy” reply Inah shocked.

And Ekhsan nodded.

“Come let mother take you to your mother's place” said Inah.

“Sorry buk, I was kicked out with my mother for making it a burden on her life” explained Ekhsan and made the two women shocked.

“Kalo so, where do you live nak?” ask Fanny worried.

“Oh I do not know where to stay buk, I just go around looking for a place to stay” explained Ekhsan. And both of them looked at pity.

“Kalo so, you stay at my house yes son let us take care of you” said Inah and Ekhsan nodded in agreement.

“But what's the problem buk?” ekhsan asked worriedly.

"It's okay to feel sorry for you being kicked out like that, let's go home" replied Inah with a sincere smile. Then the two left the shop and asked Fanny for permission and Fanny allowed it.

Soon, the two had arrived at a beautiful but simple house and there was a man who was busy repairing a motorbike in the workshop it was Akhsan, the husband of Inah.

"Assalamualaikum uda" Hail Inah while holding Ekhsan's hand and kissing her husband's hand.

"Waalaikummussalam, uh Inah" Reply Akhsan.

"Oh, whose child is this, dear?" Ask Akhsan.

"This is Ekhsan, the son who was expelled from this Desi. That's the one who used to like to gossip badly about the uni Fanny" she replied while whispering into her husband's ear. Her husband just nodded.

"Let's go in" Akhsan said, holding Ekhsan and Inah's hands.

Inside, they chatted for a while about the house that the boy was going to occupy. They told Ekhsan to sit on the sofa.

"Muhammad Fahri Ekhsan" Ekhsan replied.

"How old are you, son?" Ask Akhsan.

"I am 4 years old sir" Ekhsan replied.

"Okay we'll raise you to be our son yes, call me father and this is the woman next to me is mother ya" Akhsan said while stroking the cheek of the boy and the boy smiled sweetly making the couple smile with anxiety.

"Oh yes let's take you to your room and take a shower" said Inah and Ekhsan nodded in agreement. The two walked over leaving Akhsan who was still sitting on the sofa. Seeing his wife and adopted son familiar, his heart became warm.

"God thank you for giving you a child. Hopefully we can take care of, raise and educate him like a child in general" said Akhsan.

"Oh but what month was he born?" Akhsan asked confusedly.

"He was born before Aura was born but doesn't know what date he was born" he added.

"I'll ask Ekhsan"

"But the name is almost similar to mine" (Smiling faintly).

Then the man went out and continued the work. Akhsan's job is a car and motorcycle repairman. With that, he could make ends meet for himself and his wife now plus adopted son.

While Inah's work as a writer of novels and novels made sent to the post office. They were married for 4 years but did not have children because both were barren so inevitably they adopted children from the orphanage but it did not become because there was Ekhsan, he said, a boy who is chased away by his neighbor who likes to corner Fanny for being left out of marriage by Khansa.

Long story short, Rkhsan had taken a bath and put on clothes in the couple's house.

"Thank you mother" said Ekhsan.

"Yes my dear son" replied Inah gently and kissed the boy's forehead.

"Well, when are you having your birthday? You remember that?" Ask Inah.

"July 7th" answered Ekhsan and Inah nodding.

"Would you go to bed or eat again?" Ask Inah.

"Just sleep, my mother sleeps" Ekhsan replied politely.

Then Ekhsan got on the bed and slept soundly. After her adopted son fell asleep, the woman stroked the boy's hair and kissed him on the forehead. Then go and close the door slowly so as not to disturb the boy's sleep.

The woman went out of the house and talked to her husband on the outdoor sofa to talk about registering custody of Ekhsan.

"Oh yeah baby, you know Ekhsan's birthday?" Ask Akhsan.

"Oh that's July 7, 2002" Inah replied.

"OK now I will register the adoption of Ekhsan huh" Akhsan said and Inah nodded in agreement.

"Be careful" said Inah as she kissed her husband's hand and her husband kissed his wife's forehead affectionately.

After that, the man left and left a wife alone. After her husband left her, Inah closed the garage door and went inside her house to make lunch.

He makes chicken soup and makes rice in the kitchen. After she finished, the woman returned to Ekhsan's room to accompany her to sleep.

He looked at the handsome boy and stroked his hair slowly muttering.

"Thank you for being present in our lives even though you are not pregnant but mom and dad love you very much. May you be a child who can realize your ideals in the future yes" Then fall asleep after reading a sleep prayer and hug the handsome boy with love.

Finally Akhsan returned home with Ekhsan's letter of adoption. The man carried a birth certificate and a new family card as it was added to Ekhsan as their adopted son.

Inside, after saying his greetings, but not answered until the man searched the entire house and arrived at Ekhsan's room, his wife and adopted son slept together while hugging. Seeing that, Akhsan walked towards the two and kissed his beloved.

After that go into his room to put 2 important letters in the closet of the couple's room.
