"You gossip at work?" asked Akhmar who was standing in front of Safia's table.
Safia was stupefied, it felt like it had been discovered.
"You!" Akhmar pointed at Safia who immediately raised her head while moving her body towards Akhmar. "I told you to prepare a report, not gossip. Is the topic too fun to make you fall asleep?" Akhmar asked again.
Maria gulps. Akhmar's serious fashion is quite scary, even some of the employees there are shrinking. Can't fight.
Safia bit her lower lip, worried too. "I-I'm sorry, sir." Finally only that word came out of Safia's mouth, lest Akhmar seep in various directions.
Akhmar looked at Safia and said, "I don't like unprofessional people. It's working hours, it means everyone has to focus on working! Do you understand everything?"
"Good idea, sir." Everyone there answered simultaneously. Behind the good looks of Akhmar, there is a firm and unkempt nature of the man.
Akhmar sighed harshly, not to go too far. "I'm asking for a report. Two o'clock this afternoon, it should be over soon!"
Safia surprised. This can't be allowed. His courage suddenly came, out of nowhere. He stood, looking back at Akhmar. "Sorry, sir, if I'm presumptuous." The woman stood with both feet straight.
Maria's hand pulled Safia's right fingers, asking her friend to come down. "Fia, no!" His voice was a little slow, hoping that his friend would hear.
Safia was determined, not daunted at all. Witnessed by many of the finance teams, the woman protested. "But, I think Mr. Akhmar was too pressuring subordinates, especially me. It has been said that the deadline was five in the afternoon, then with ease the father advanced the deadline. Is that natural?"
Akhmar. Not unable to fight, but to let the woman who was only one inch tall was to let out a tear in the heart.
Safia's chest rose and fell withstanding the surge of emotion due to Akhmar's words. "I respect Mr. Akhmar as the new manager, but you should also give us a little leeway. It's not just about discipline, it's also about our ability."
Akhmar remained silent, looking around. Nobody moves, everybody shakes. Even the slightest sound, was not heard by his earlobes. He looked back at Safia and said, "How much time did you spend chatting?" Instead of answering, Akhmar asked a question.
Safia frowned. Not counting. "Do I have to tell?"
"Clearly!" Akhmar.
Safia flinched, but the girl stood back up straight.
"When working we are required to professionals also race with time, but the story is different if it is a break. You and others, including me, can have a full conversation. Don't you understand that one minute for the company is a very valuable thing?" ask Akhmar again.
Safia flinched for a moment. Highlight Akhmar's eyes exuded a distinct personality as it circulated among female employees. Judging from any point of view, Akhmar does not have the nature of tenderness. Therefore, it is unfortunate if anyone dreams of being close to Akhmar. Safia herself was obviously unwilling.
"I know!" Safia answered quickly.
The corner of Akhmar's lips was raised upwards forming a smile. "Thankfully, that means you can know how happy the company was when you chatted earlier. So, I am not wrong to advance the deadline. Just count it cut with the excitement that the company bears. Simple right?" Once again Akhmar gave a small smile, but to Safia it was both frightening and irritating. "If it's like that, I'll wait for the report at two in the afternoon. Please work everything back." Akhmar turned around, stretched his tie and walked towards the glass-walled room.
Safia gawking. He lost arguing with Akhmar, now it leaves even deeper irritation. "Astagfirullah, that one manager." Safia massaged her forehead, it hurts so much.
