'i... What are others talking about me?'

'Why do people see me differently?'

'Why?'

'Is it because I can't hear or talk?'

'Is it because I'm DEAF?!!'

Mama came up to me with a gentle smile, stroking my cheeks affectionately as usual. But from the look of his face there is something different, why should I be able to guess the look on your face at any time?! I could not hear or speak from birth. My parents' efforts for me to recover have been very hard, they tried their hardest for my life until now. Jesus, mama is crying I can only stand to see her shed tears with a smiling face. Next to her hand gave me a small box of soft pink. I greeted her slowly I looked at the box carefully, I went back and forth with a questionable face. Then I looked back at my mother, she told me to open her, with sign language saying that the contents of the box were precious objects that could make me happy. I scrunched my eyebrows, the more curious I was not to forget I thanked my mother and then I opened the box slowly. After I saw the contents and how shocked I was that it was a hearing device, a pair of hearing devices were installed in both ears so that I could hear others talk, without confusion about what they are talking about.

"Mha~maa's.. This is?!"

Mama nodded vigorously, with a big smile she put the device in both my ears. Suddenly it felt different just like that, I could hear the sound of the doctor walking towards me with a happy smile. I was still focusing on the voices that came into my hearing all of a sudden, I was shocked by my sister she patted my back and walked in front of me with a big smile.

"Damn!!"

My eyes widened with my mouth wide open, then I turned to the doctor and then to my mother and to my little brother who was laughing. I can hear! Unbelieving in all these wonders at once my tears were shedding profusely without my being able to bear it anymore I immediately rushed to hug my mother so tightly and thanked her unceasingly because this was all her struggle to me.

"Naaah because now you can hear, next year you're going to school!"

I smiled, nodding at the mother who was cooking, turned her back to me who was sitting at the dinner table helping her slice celery peeling carrots and potatoes. Mama will cook my favorite chicken soup, as well as my sister Ran's favorite. She was in 3rd grade, and I went to a special school for special needs people. From there I was taught to communicate well using sign language but, the school was only up to 4th grade because it was the rule. Every 4 years, students who have been able to communicate well will be educated in ordinary schools. It was for those who were able to continue, as was my example and some of my other friends were also deaf. We could go to public school, but for others I don't know it.

1 year later.

'I'm not ready'

I'm still staring at myself in the mirror, and I'm still not ready. It's been a year since my mom first said I was going to public school like any other kid. Once again, I noticed my appearance of short, chin-length hair as dark brown as my father's hair. School uniform and black pantofel shoes. Aarrgh! I'm not ready yet! I'm afraid new friends don't accept me because I'm different.

I nodded slowly. That was my sister's voice. Ran has always been considerate of me, he always made me number one after him. I don't want to complicate her life, we'll mature and I'll have to live independently.

"Good up to 5th grade!"

Mama and Ran greeted me in front, they laughed happily looking at me who was standing in front of them with a nervous smile. Actually I was deg deg an, I was still thinking about what would be like if I went to school there. I hope they won't bother me because I'm afraid of things that smell hurt.

"Hay dear, nice to meet you. I'm the principal, Tia's mom, I hope you're happy to be here"

"Good morning, son, my father's name is Kama Pramudha! The 5th grade guardian. If there's anything, you can go straight to yak!"

The figure of the headmaster mother, was very friendly and gentle in speaking. Tia's mother is also a beautiful woman, Kama's father looks young and she is already a 5th grader. Mr. Kama seems to be a warm and kind man.

I nodded slowly with a nervous smile once again, Father Kama told me not to be too nervous and relaxed, because he said Class 5-A is a place for good students and they would be happy to be friends with me. Is correct? He then invited me to immediately enter the classroom because the bell had sounded loud echoing. I quickly turned to face my mother, she just smiled giving me encouragement with her gaze that made me calm again.

"Mama will pick me up when I get home from school"

I nodded slowly with a spirited expression. Well, I can't be a coward! I can definitely!.

"Today we have a new student. You guys should be good friends with his yak!"

I entered the classroom looking down on my red bag and standing in front of those who were definitely staring at me questioningly.

"Alright, introduce yourself"

I looked up quickly, and I gasped. Different from my guess, they seem curious and very enthusiastic about me. I also smile sweetly, soon their curiosity will change with a look of astonishment or they can be surprised by my condition.
