The Talk That Night

Dinner was over but this familiarity event did not end just like that. Wine is poured to make the heart happy and carefree. The conversation also felt lighter.

In the living room were Seokjin, Soojung, Yoongi and Namjoon who were chatting.

“Yoongi sangai is good at making cheesecake,” Seokjin said to her lover, “Lain time I will take you to his shop.”

“The one who cooked dinner last night was Yoongi.” added Namjoon.

Soojung nodded and turned to Seokjin. “I so remember that Oppa also told you that your brother is good at cooking and cleaning the house.”

Seokjin. “Oh yes, Soojung-ah, soon my basement will be finished. Like I told you I want to make a shooting practice and gym.”

“I hear you're good at shooting huh?” ask Namjoon to Soojung politely. How could Namjoon have forgotten that the woman was good at shooting until she was invited to a big hunt to shoot vampires during a council hearing a few weeks ago?

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Hoseok was talking to Taehyung, asking in detail what Taehyung was really doing at the Black Dragon club.

“Actually what are you looking for in Black Dragon?” ask Hoseok quietly so that his voice is not heard by other vampires.

Taehyung took a sip of the wine and played the glass half bored. “Just have fun.”

Hoseok knew that Taehyung's words were just lies. “What does this have to do with the vampire sales syndicate?”

Taehyung looked at Hoseok, weighing whether he should tell the vampire or not.

“Aku know it is a club of the upper class,” continued Hoseok, “I am not surprised if it has anything to do with mafia syndicates.”

Taehyung raised his eyebrows. “Wae?”

“Big syndicates usually have several types of business fields. Must have a shell company also for money laundering. What I heard was like that. And I think clubbing is a great place to gather buyer clients and strike deals. Surely they also provide some kind of VIP club member.”

Taehyung gives smirk. “ Club owner Black Dragon gave me his business card and he invited me to come to this weekend VIP member event.”

“Wah tojinjja?” ask Hoseok wide open, “You've reached the owner of the club?”

Hoseok grunting. “But you have to be careful. Such a rich and powerful person is definitely not an indiscriminate person.”

“What to fear?” Taehyung laughed softly, “If I as a vampire could break bones and tear his flesh easily?”

Hoseok only grimaced, Taehyung's speech was too creepy. Hoseok took his wine back. However, this conversation is just ordinary talk, not just some kind of prejudice that has not been proven to be true. Either Black Dragon is indeed related to the vampire trade syndicate or it is not.

Meanwhile, Jimin and Jungkook were talking on the balcony, drinking wine while enjoying the night air. The two stood next to each other, talking while looking at the beautiful view of the night.

“I have to tell you this, Kook,” said Jimin, “I've been feeling guilty for too long for never telling it.”

“Hmm??” Jungkook downed the wine calmly.

“Reason why I am quite familiar in this house.” Jimin glanced at Jungkook, hoping the conversation could go well.

Jungkook looked at Jimin, he had long wondered why Jimin seemed familiar with Taehyung hyungs.

“You know my mom is a doctor, right, Kook? Ah I mean, former doctor.” Jimin smiled faintly. “I'm too arrogant to assume that I can dance agilely and have unlimited energy is my own strength. Actuallyno. If Taehyung didn't find me back then I might never know this fact.”

“What do you mean?” ask Jungkook confused.

“My mother tried to transfer vampire blood into my body, Kook. Taehyung caught him and tried to save me for thinking I was being used as a guinea pig.”

“M-mwo?”

Jimin nodded weakly. “There was a vampire my mother locked up in the basement of our house. The vampire was exploited and his blood was taken to be transfused into my body.”

Jungkook was so shocked, he had never heard of this kind of thing that a vampire was locked up and had his blood drawn so. “But for what is it done?”

“I have a blood disease. My mother hid it from me. He tried to keep me alive normally by using vampire blood transfused into my body once every 2 weeks. Seokjin Hyung and Yoon Hyung helped me at that time and told me that vampire blood could help people with blood diseases.”

Jungkook understood Jimin's position at the time. It must have been a confused friend and finally decided to hide it into a secret. “Then what do you think of vampire?”

Jungkook sighed. Jimin's answer somehow calmed him down. Jimin who as a neutral person gives his opinion so that makes Jungkook more confident with the decision he must take. His hatred and vengeance for the vampires who killed his parents should not be venting on all the vampires in the world, right?

Jimin gave a smile and held onto Jungkook's shoulder. “I saw your attitude change, Kook. Good jobs. I know it's tough but I'm so proud you got through it. Until you're in this place, at the vampire house.”

Jungkook snorted and Jimin chuckled. Jimin glanced behind Jungkook, there was Taehyung standing watching them with a wine glass in his hand. Jimin nodded slowly at Taehyung then looked back at Jungkook. “I went inside first yes... I want to ask Yoongi Hyung.” said Jimin looking for an excuse.

Jungkook just nodded and Jimin turned around to leave the place. Jungkook looked at the night sky and took a deep breath, not realizing that Taehyung was coming near him.

“The weather was pretty good tonight.” Taehyung said standing next to Jungkook shocked the man.

Jungkook looked stunned. He did not expect that Taehyung approached him, would this be a good sign?

Taehyung only looked straight ahead while returning to drink his wine. It's very awward but Taehyung will be haunted by guilt if he hasn't thanked Jungkook past 24 hours.

“Gomawo..” said slowly, “I haven't had time to say it.”

Jungkook snorted softly and smiled. He saw the night view and drank his wine as well. “What does it hurt?”

Taehyung turned his head, not understanding the meaning of the human question.

“What hurts when you haven't drunk blood?” asked Jungkook to return the vampire's gaze.

“Golden and running out of energy.” replied Taehyung honestly, “Then what about you? What is the pain when bitten?”

Jungkook laughed softly. “Jinjja... If it hurts at least it won't make me die.”.

Taehyung tilted his head and frowned. So Jungkook was in pain when he was bitten? What does Jungkook mean?

Taehyung tries to get rid of the memory of what Yoongi said about soulmates. It's ridiculous, until whenever Taehyung won't want to believe it.

“Do you have any plans to go again to Black Dragon?” tanya Jungkook suddenly changed the subject.

“Wae? Why are you asking?”

“Well... because last I saw you received a business card from a man at the club.”

Taehyung turned his eyeballs and folded his hands in front of his chest. “Then?”

“You must be careful, Kim. Sometimes the world is not as good as it looks.”

“Jungkook, you didn't forget that I was a vampire?” Taehyung laughs discordantly, “I'm a monster!”

Jungkook gave a mouthful, Taehyung's words were not sincere at all, even his tone was like insinuating him. “Humans also have the nature of monsters hidden.”

“You speak very out of context.” Taehyung ruffled his hair, trying to focus 100% even though he had a lot of wine. “I'm just adding to the relationship and you're accusing him of being a monster. Did you forget that I'm the monster?” Taehyung laughed to himself.

Jungkook is eager to tell Taehyung to stop saying he is a monster. Because it was like reminding Jungkook that he was the one who used to think vampires were monsters. Jungkook recalls the memory as he tells Taehyung that Taehyung is a monster. That's very painful.

“You are terrible. You're monster.”

Taehyung. “A-I'm not a monster.”

“I've always wondered why this world should be occupied by vampires? This world is not fit for vampires.”

Jungkook closed his eyes trying to dampen the bitter memory he remembered. That bothers him a lot. Why did he remember that memory?

“But you're right,” said Taehyung suddenly startled Jungkook, “I've seen greedy humans hearted monsters.”

Jungkook tilted his body to Taehyung, trying to dive into the meaning of the vampire's words.

Taehyung gave a long smirk. “And this monster will hunt monster-hearted humans. Wouldn't it be an interesting show, Jeon?”

Jungkook's body was as though he was sculpting and could only stare at Taehyung who still showed an evil smirk. What exactly does Taehyung mean? Why Taehyung seems to hold a grudge and anger, as if it holds a dark side that is not yet known Jungkook.
