The September Tragedy

The September Tragedy
Struggled Home

I saw a sky without stars, dark and silent as the occasional flash of lightning dazzled the view. Then there were the sounds of animals and owls again adorning the night. I wrestled with my own thoughts thinking about my father, mother and sister daughter. How are they doing now? where are they ? what are they doing right now?

My mind is troubled thinking of them there.

Suddenly the speed of the car slowed down, eliminating my daydreams about my hometown. In front of us all the cars stopped. The road became jammed, the car I was riding could not move forward anymore.

I asked Mr. Amir, What's going on up there sir ?

I don't know, maybe there's an accident out there. Mr. Amir while rushing down from the vehicle to see the situation ahead. You wait here and take care of the val car, he said as he left. I just nodded

head and be quiet yourself.

Hope nothing happens, I murmured in my heart.

Behind the car I've been in, a lot of vehicles have stopped. Car horns are starting to sound simple. The atmosphere began to bustle because many people who came out of the vehicle wanted to know what exactly happened, so that made their journey stop.

I look ahead, Amir sir started back with a swift step. Mr. Amir said, the cliff on the right side of the avalanche val hoarding the road that we will pass. We're stuck here and we can't continue our journey.

I was surprised to hear Mr. Amir's explanation, I don't know what else to do. Will it be silent waiting until help comes to repair the road damage ? But that's not possible, until when should I wait ? Thought.

"Sorry sir, I have to continue my journey home even on foot."

"Sir turned to me and said, be careful in the way."

It was all that was drawn from his disappointed face that let go of me.

Well, sir, thank you for the ride while you start walking away from the amir pack and the car.

With a little hurry I walked down the sidewalk, the car lights were very helpful to illuminate my steps down the sidewalk this evening. After quite a distance of walking, a flash of lightning struck brightly, a flash of atmosphere around brightly like noon.

And I saw in front of me a red mound of earth that had piled up all the way. This is what causes the vehicle can no longer continue the journey.

I began to doubt and my heart began to worry, Will I continue this journey ?. "In my mind; the mound was too high and it was very dangerous to climb it at this moment. Maybe the landslide will still be possible if aftershocks come again."

But my little heart said; Father, mother wants me to go home, daughter is also waiting for me in the yard.

I was determined to be round, however the way I had to go home.Without thinking about the risks that would occur, I continued to walk slowly and surely, the high mound of land I approached.

Slowly the land I began to lock up on the mounds of land that blocked my path. "In my mind, the longer the higher and the smoother."

Several times I slipped down, because the ground I stepped on was unable to hold my body weight because the ground was muddy.

In the darkness of the night without stars and moon, I kept climbing and reaching for anything I could hold. I tried hard immediately to get through it because there was a sense of worry and fear of the heart, fear of a steep cliff to my right collapsed again and buried me alive here.

I think back to the people I love my father, mother and daughter, that was the trigger of the spirit to immediately get through this obstacle quickly.

I finally reached the top after the ground in front of me felt down. I got up and tried to run down even though my feet were sometimes mired in loose soil, but as hard as I could I kept running.

In the spotlight of the car lights, I finally managed to descend a mound of land so high. All eyes were on me looking at the astonishment as I went down the hill that covered the road they were about to cross.

Regardless of the sight of those who kept a thousand questions looking at me, I continued to run without thinking about the circumstances around.

"Inwardly, my journey was still far away and I had to keep running between stopped vehicles."

After a long run, the road in front of me was starting to feel dark. It's getting darker and darker, because I'm a long way away

feel in some parts of my body began to feel pain and death due to the injuries I experienced.

Running and running, the cold of the night did not hinder my spirit to run. Due to the darkness of the night several times I stumbled and fell, but I got up again and kept running.

When tired, it began to come all over my body. Sweat flowed so hard all over my clothes, I felt my hometown getting closer. My footsteps began to slow down as if there was no more energy to run. I want to stop and shut up for a while to rest.

Suddenly I saw that there was a father, mother and daughter standing in front of the house, as if they knew of my return. The three of them smiled and waved to me to welcome the arrival of the only boy. My spirit rose again after seeing them and I was running faster wanting to immediately hug my father, mother and younger daughter who were standing there.

When I thought I was 50 meters away, they turned over and walked into the house. I kept running towards them but I was late, before I got to my father, mother and daughter.

I screamed to call them.

Daddyh.

Mother.

Princesses.

Wait for me, I've gone home sobbing sobs. But there is no word from them.

My body felt increasingly weak and helpless and finally fell to the earth there was no power to rise again.

Father, mother, daughter, that is all I can say in my heart. I don't know how many times I repeated that word until I closed my eyes.

Suddenly someone hugged me and I opened my eyes slowly

Mother hugged me tightly, kissed the tip of my head affectionately, while the princess grabbed my hand and kissed the back of my hand. I just smiled and looked at me and said,

take good care of yourself, do not forget the teachings and advice of the father all this time.

Then they're gone and back to the dark I think. The atmosphere was so quiet, silent and without sound. I don't know what happened to me. I was unconscious for a while.

I finally woke up and opened my eyes, I don't know how long I've been unconscious. I don't know where I am, my whole body hurts all like being hit by a truck that hurts so much.

The cold began to feel bone-chilling without me realizing I was lying on the street. I stared at the sky which was beginning to faintly drizzle the morning dawn.

And I was confused as to why I was here, was not it that father, mother and daughter were beside me accompanying me. I try to remember what happened to me last night, what I might have dreamed of last night meeting my father, mother and daughter in my mind.

I tried to get up and sit up, though I thought the whole body hurt. I looked around to see where I was now. On the right I saw a forest of hills.

Oh, I just realized this isn't the way to my hometown. I turned my body to look back at my hometown,

everything still looks faint in the shadows. The thick morning fog blocked my view. I bowed in silence.

But tib came "Astagjfirullah, O Allah."

I jumped back because I was so surprised I was standing on the edge of the abyss. It turned out that the path I was walking home had fallen into the bowels of the earth I knew nothing about.

If only I hadn't fallen and fainted earlier, I might have been on the bottom of a cliff that I didn't know how steep the bottom was.

I was fixated on myself, looking at the gaping chasm in front of me. The road to my hometown has been cut off, somehow I will continue on this journey.
