CHAPTER 17 ASSESSING

After successfully training with Second, Sarayu began to train with First. The reason is, First is the member who most often plunged into the battlefield and can help Sarayu in training to face the war situation. Together with First, Sarayu trained her physical abilities first. Several physical exercises were given First to Sarayu to strengthen her body strength and endurance. From running with weights to dexterity in using multiple weapons. Not only that, First even set the diet and nutrition needed by Sarayu as a counterweight in his physical training. For five hours a day, First will provide training to Sarayu.

In addition to training with First, Sarayu also used her time to train with Third-si medicine experts. Ethan specifically asked Third to take the time to take care of Sarayu's health and of course fix Sarayu's face full of scars. 

“You can definitely see well that Sarayu's face is actually quite a pretty face but because of the many scars on her face covering up her true beauty, Third,” Ethan chirps while looking at Sarayu who is training with First. 

Third nodded his head in agreement. “I can see it, Sir. That face will be very unfortunate if it continues to be left just like that.”

“Therefore, I ask you to cure him, Third. One day, Sarayu will become someone who will be known to the world as a symbol of peace. I want people to see Sarayu as a beautiful woman who will not accept people's scorn for flaws in her physique.” 

“I understand, Mr.” 

From then on for a month, Sarayu spent her time training with First in the morning and making time for Third in the evening. If by any chance First and Third had to work and descend into the battlefield because the Alliance forces were constantly being pushed back, Sarayu would go to where Ethan and Dylan were to see the course of the war between the two alliances. 

“What do you think, Sarayu? This was already the third time Miss Sarayu had seen the course of the war with the help of First?” Dylan asks Sarayu a question when he realizes Sarayu's presence in the monitor room where he is with Ethan and is connected to Forth and Eighth. 

Sarayu shook her head unconvinced as she only saw her war net a few times. With hesitation, Sarayu opened her mouth. “Can I answer honestly, Mr Dylan?” 

Dylan smiled. “Sure, Miss.” 

“Ehm, for three times I saw war. Three times also I saw that the Ingmar Alliance always brought victory in the end. Thanks to First, the course of the war could which normally took a long time, be quickly resolved. But during those three wars, I didn't see that person again, Mister?” 

“The guy? Who does that mean, Miss Sarayu?” Dylan asked to make sure what was currently appearing in his mind was the same as what Sarayu was thinking.

“Knight One if I don't remember it wrong, Mr. Dylan. The person from the Arael Alliance who was able to destroy the ground with just one punch from his hand.” Sarayu replied with a little hesitation because only once when looking at the footage of Knight One who gained absolute victory in the war some time ago. 

Sarayu nodded her head and then asked Dylan the question first. “If such a great man were to descend directly into the battlefield, wouldn't victory be difficult for us to obtain? Looking at his terrifying strike power, I think First will definitely have a hard time holding him back, Mr. Dylan, Mr. Ethan.”

“Quickly once.” This time the voice came from Eighth-si strategist of the World Peacekeeping Forces who set up the stratagem and kept in touch with the troops that descended into the battlefield: First, Sixth, Third, and so on, Fifth who was accustomed to descending into the battlefield directly. Eight also agreed with Sarayu's remarks and felt the strangeness about Knight One from Arael's alliance had not appeared since his first appearance back then. “After all this time, I also wondered what was the reason that the strong man who introduced himself by the name of Knight One was no longer down to the battlefield?”

“What do you think, Ethan?” Dylan asks Ethan and makes Ethan aware of his daydreams about Knight One. “Can't you see a future related to Knight One?” 

Ethan shook his head. “No. Since I've never touched Knight One, I won't be able to see a future related to him. Moreover, all of our troops do not seem to have made contact with Knight One and it makes me unable to see the future of Knight One.” 

“Then. .. You also have to work hard, Ethan. As the leader of the World Peacekeeping Force, you must improve your special abilities in order to help more in the future. It would be better if you could see someone's future without needing to touch them first. It would be better also if you can also read their minds without touching them as well.” 

Ethan snorted at Dylan-his best friend. “You're really good at talking, Dylan. If it's as easy as you say, I also hope what you say is that, Dylan. But the truth is, my abilities are really limited. Until now the longest future I could see was the future of Sarayu. For the rest, I can only make sure that they will be fine for the next few months. Then to read the minds of the people I admit, I have improved that ability a little even though at first I had to keep touching their hands first.” 

Dylan turned his head towards Ethan with a curious look. “Are you mad at me, Ethan?” 

Ethan shook his head. “No. I'm just saying what I've done to you, Dylan.” 

“If you are not angry, then I will also say this to me instead. .” Dylan draws himself closer to Ethan so he can whisper to Ethan. “It would be better if you work hard from today. You don't want to lose to Sarayu who thrived in just under a month, do you? Didn't you yourself say you would protect Sarayu in the future. So it'd be better if you improved your skills, too, Ethan.” 

Ethan stared intently at Dylan and was a little annoyed by Dylan's words. But what Dylan just said is true. Ethan still has a duty to protect Sarayu in the future because of what appears in his vision when he sees the future of Sarayu. Since world peace was in Sarayu's hands, Ethan promised to protect Sarayu with all his might as payment for all Sarayu's efforts.
