"What do you mean, Doctor?" Nathan doesn't accept what Reyno says. Although the reality is true, but, Nathan felt unacceptable because outsiders knew what was happening in his household. Moreover, this matter carried his mother's name.

"No need to pretend, Nathan! I know everything more than anyone!" Reyno puts away Nathan's hand holding his snell collar.

"What does it mean that the doctor knows everything?" Nathan really doesn't understand Reyno's words.

Knowing about his mother's case only a few moments ago because he saw the mother being led to the police station. However, why did the doctor in front of him say that he knew of Claudia's problem?

"What do you know about my mother?" Nathan stared intently at the doctor who he said was his wife's best friend.

"Your mom has been after Indira for a long time. Supposedly, you as a husband are more sensitive and can protect your wife. Unfortunately, you're too stupid to know what dangers your wife is in living in that big house!"

The words spoken by Reyno made Nathan even more curious. How did the man know everything his mother had done while he who was both living in the house did not know about the crime of his stepmother?

"What did my mother do that you were so sure that it was her mother who had harmed Indira?" Nathan looked up at Reyno. His logic forced him to keep trusting Claudia, but, the words that came out from the doctor before him made him curious.

"Your mother doesn't like Indira. Not only did he dislike her, he also hated Indira so much that your mother was eager to eliminate him. You think the accident that happened to Indira lately was a regular accident?" Reyno looked at Nathan who looked like a foolish man who knew nothing about what had happened to his mother and wife.

"What has happened to Indira lately is the work of Mrs Claudia. At first, he just wanted to get rid of the child in your wife's stomach. But, since she always failed to make your wife miscarry, your mother changed her strategy to take the lives of your wife and child!"

"No! That can't be happening. Mama wouldn't do such a thing. Mama doesn't like Indira, but, I'm sure my mama wouldn't do that bad to my wife." Nathan still evades Reyno's statement.

"Why are you so sure my mom did it?" Nathan asked again, making Reyno want to beat up the stupid man. Why should a woman as good as Indira have such a stupid husband?

"It's free to talk to a fool like you! It's a waste of energy!" Reyno again checked the state of Indira who was still asleep due to the influence of drugs.

The man looked at Indira with a look of pity.

"I feel like I'd really like to get you out of here. You deserve to be happy Indira. If you're with that guy you're not happy, I'll help you get away from him" Nathan said.

He promised, after this, he would do anything to help Indira. The woman had to be detached from Nathan who usually only made Indira hurt.

"You take good care of him. If there's anything press that button to call the officer" Reyno told Nathan. The man nodded.

"Thank you for helping my wife" Nathan said.

"It's my duty as a doctor." Reyno replied before finally leaving the room.

Nathan let out a long sigh as he looked at Indira who was lying weakly on the bed.

Santi's mother who had been silent approached Nathan.

"If Claudia is indeed the one who has harmed Indira, I want Claudia to account for all her actions. Although she was her real mother, but I was the one who took care of Indira from the baby. I'm not willing for him to hurt my son to this extent." Santi's mother looked at Nathan with both eyes glazed over.

"You are her husband. You should be able to look after her and be a shield when bad people want to harm your wife. But you are just the opposite. Instead of protecting your wife, you are the main cause of your wife's pain" said Ms. Santi at length. The old woman who had taken care of Indira from infancy to adulthood was disappointed with Nathan.

Santi's mother did not expect that Indira's marriage to the man never made her adopted daughter happy. Although he said they both loved each other, but, Nathan never made Indira happy. Especially when they are married.

"I promise you, I'll find out everything. Right now, frankly, I still feel shocked by the events that have happened to my wife and also my future baby. But, if it's true that what happened to my wife was my mother's doing, I obviously wouldn't stay silent. My mother has to pay for what she did to Indira."

Santi's mother breathed a sigh of relief at Nathan's words. It might sound selfish. Moreover, Claudia is Indira's birth mother. However, Claudia's crimes cannot be taken lightly. The woman had done something that almost took Indira's life. Moreover, because of his actions Indira suffered a miscarriage. Isn't it the same Claudia has lost innocent human lives?

Nathan looked down at Indira. His body was covered with wounds, including on his left side of the face that allegedly hit the asphalt when the accident occurred.

According to witnesses who saw the accident occurred, Indira's body bounced after being hit by the car and then fell on her stomach.

It is fitting that Indira suffered a miscarriage because it is certain that her bulging stomach experienced a hard impact due to colliding with asphalt.

"I'm sorry, honey. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you and look after our son. Had I known you would be wretched like this, I would definitely not have allowed you to go with mama."

Nathan is very sorry for what happened to Indira. During this time he was too busy with work and also with Clara to the point that he often ignored his first wife who was pregnant.

Actually Nathan also wants to always be on Indira's side. Accompanying the woman through her pregnancy. However, sometimes Clara's threats make Nathan undo his intentions.

Nathan always loses if he's under Clara's threat. The woman who became his second wife always made him not wince. Especially if you think about the company.

It felt, Nathan was really very sorry because he had married the crafty woman. Clara's good attitude and attention before marriage made Nathan blind until finally choosing to marry the woman over the wounds of Indira.
