"Have you finally married a rich man?"
Zafran asked suddenly made Laura who was drinking then choke.
Zafran picked up a tissue on a nearby table and gave it to Laura.
"Thank you".
Laura said awkwardly.
"I'm still alone to this day."
Laura trembled, then she leaned her back on the sofa, sighed and tried to let out all the awkwardness and nervousness in her.
"Right, still alone? It's not that you left me, because I'm poor and you want to marry the rich man your parents chose."
Zafran said back in pressure, with a mocking tone.
"Zafran, I know now you're a successful person, have a lot of big companies, have a lot of employees, luxury mansions, villas, apartments, everything. I read it in a magazine that's been telling you a lot lately."
Laura seemed to want to emphasize that she knew Zafran would definitely make fun of him.
"The story of a poor man who suddenly became a Billionaire right?"
Zafran's smile was wry and lazy.
"I never doubted you'd succeed."
Laura looked at Zafran.
"But your parents doubt me."
Zafran answered quickly with a snide.
Laura turned her eyes away, and it irritated Zafran. The man pulled Laura's hand a little rough, taking her out to a quieter place, without the frenzy of noisy music.
Zafran clasped Laura's wrist, the girl had offset Zafran's long footsteps, and now they were beside the Hall.
"Tell me Laura, are your parents going to put me in jail again if they see us meeting and being close together like this?"
Zafran said he touched Laura's cheek and flicked the strands of hair on Laura's face.
"The matter was long ago Zafran, I rejected the match, and chose to live alone, working to fulfill all my own needs."
Laura turned her sad face the other way.
"But not long enough for me to forget, the pain was still very obvious! How do I feel the coldness of those iron bars! I am rich enough to be close to you... Laura?"
Zafran's voice growled, he felt even more annoyed, each time remembering Laura's parents.
Zafran really wanted to destroy Laura's self-esteem.
"You are rich or poor is not a problem for me!"
Laura protested with a careless feeling.
"But that's a big deal for your parents!"
Zafran was getting closer to Laura.
"I'm leaving."
Laura said pushing the chest of the man higher than her, forcing Zafran to let go.
Laura was increasingly pressed with questions and sentences thrown by Zafran, making it even more unbalanced, he twisted his body in a hurry to accidentally collide with a man.
"Be careful..."
Said the man.
A familiar voice to Laura, and sure enough she is Luwis classmate who is much in the adoration of girls in her era.
"Looks like you're not drunk.... Laura." - Laura."
Luwis said with a smile.
"I just didn't carefully and recklessly twist my body, thank you."
Laura took Luwis' hand off her arm, she stepped back inside the Hall, and sat on the sofa drinking a glass of coktail.
"Laura are you okay?"
Kate said as she approached Laura who looked upset.
"No, I'm just a little dizzy."
Laura said, holding her head.
"Do you want to rest? Or how?"
Kate was worried that she was twitching Laura's shoulder.
"I'm going home, I'm tired."
Laura couldn't stand being in the crowd, her feelings as if she wasn't there, her mind flying around somewhere.
"Going home? The show hasn't even started yet. But.... All right, take a break at home, give me your cell phone number and your home address I'll come after Sarah's Birthday Party is over."
Kate said, taking her phone.
"Send my regards to Sarah."
Laura said weakly.
"Yes, be careful on the road."
Laura staggered slightly, she opened the car door a little weakly.
"I'll take you home."
Said a man behind her.
"No, I can't do it alone, thank you."
"Don't be stubborn."
The man then forcibly took Laura's car keys.
"What do you want Zafran!"
Shouted Laura, until her tears broke.
"Are you still not content to make fun of me? Is it along the way that you want to insult me like that?"
Laura leaned against her car.
"Are you really a man? You make a woman cry and scream like that?"
Luwis's voice came from behind.
"I haven't even had a chance to talk to Laura yet."
Luwis's smile was mocking.
Two men who had always fought, now faced each other again after ten years they never greeted each other.
"This is your car key, Laura."
Said Luwis who had snatched roughly Laura's key from Zafran's hand.
"I'll take you home, you look a little drunk, did you drink?"
"Well, a little cocktail, shouldn't be drunk, but I never drink."
Laura held onto her forehead with her palm.
"Fuck you guys."
Pick up Zafran and leave the place.
Finally Luwis drove Laura home, on the way Laura just closed her eyes, her mind drifted to remember the verse by verse and series of events while with Zafran.
The man still seemed to be very hurt and had a grudge with Laura, until every utterance that came out to Laura was just a knife thrown at her heart.
Maps show their car has reached its destination, the car then stops at a simple apartment, making Laura open her eyes, quickly Luwis out of the car and open the door for Laura.
"Thank you, Luwis, for driving me home, until I get here, I can go in by myself."
Laura said weakly.
"You live alone in this apartment?"
Luwis asked as she raised her head up to observe Laura's small, not-so-luxurious apartment.
"It's been a few years."
Answer Laura.
"I'm sorry to be among you, I just don't feel comfortable that Zafran keeps cornering you."
"It's not his fault, it's all my fault. I don't want to talk about it."
Said Laura.
"Well, at least this time I can win from him."
Luwis squeezed his nape.
"Win?"
Laura did not understand.
"Yes, he always wins to get you, take you home, walk with you, eat with you, now I know what it's like to drive you home."
Luwis said as he put both of his hands into his pants pocket.
"All right, I'm in. Thank you Luwis."
Laura got into the elevator, and Luwis started to leave the place, she pulled out her phone and contacted someone.
"Fetch me..."
Luwis' sentence was short and firm, he then hung up his phone, waiting by the quiet roadside.
Before long the luxury car came to pick him up, a driver came out and opened the door for Luwis.
In the course of the man's mind just kept drifting considering how he could snatch Laura from Zafran. Every now and then he smiled clichely, the tip of his lips raised.
The driver watching from behind the steering glass was a little surprised because he had never seen his boss smile like that.
Luwis had liked Laura for a long time, but she never dared to say it, Zafran was always by Laura's side when they were in school and it made Luwis never able to get close to Laura.
